Ishwari brings Suhana home and Dev is looking at her from upstairs. Golu comes running there. Dev kisses Golu and says that his prayers got answered. Golu sees Suhana and is about to call her when Dev puts his hand on his mouth and shuts him off and tells him not to say anything now.

Everyone meets Suhana. Ishwari tells everyone how they met at Temple. Mamaji is super happy to meet Suhana. Suhana tells Radha that her language is funny.

Ishwari as usual chatting up Soha except asking her name. Mamaji names her "Pari".

Me: Naam mein kya rakhha hain. A kidnap by any other name...

Elena sees Suhana on her way out to work. She says to Suhana, "Hello beautiful." Suhana responds back to her the same. They bond.

Elena goes to get something for her to eat.

Me: Aaj tak apne bachhe ko to kuch khilaya nehin. Ab doosro ki betiyon ko khilana hain. Lo bolo.

Elena brings pop. Ishwari asks her not to drink pop. But Soha wants to drink pop because her health conscious mother doesn't let her at home. But Ishwari brings Halwa.

Me: Hey uparwale, iss ghar mein kya ek hi dish banta hain? Aur kuch ho na ho, Halwa ka supply hamesha rehta hain. Jaise ki meth lab mein crystal ki supply.

Suhana says that Halwa is her favourite.

Me: Okay, time please here. CVs, I doubt Bong Asha could even think about cooking Besan Halwa to make it Suhana's favourite. Zabardasti common ground ghusane mein aap log to expert ho.

Aur kuch nehin to yehin bulwa dete ki Suhana in-born vegetarian hain? That would have been more believable than Suhana having a favourite Halwa but not common favourites like Carrot or Suji which is available in some places in Kolkata. But Besan Halwa which is not available in ANY sweet shop in Kolkata.

Anyhoo, Ishwari feeds her Halwa.

Me: *Imagining the witch in Hansel and Gretel*.

Suhana wonders if her father's family would be like these people. Ishwari thinks the same.

Me: Sure honey. But remember, appearances are deceptive.

Dev thinks that Suhana brought back happiness in his home. The day she will walk in with her own free will, she will change the atmosphere forever.

Me: Usefulness locked. Mission loading.

Suhana wants to leave as she hasn't informed her mother. She leaves after saying good bye.

At Bose house, Sonakshi says that she knows how important her father is to her. She can't even imagine her life without Bijoy. Bijoy says that he will always be by her side. But she feels bad that Soha doesn't have her father with her.

Asha and Bijoy look worried.

Me: Sonakshi, Soha can meet Dev. Lekin, agar aapko apni life pyaari hain, to aap uss taraf mat jaana. Unko aapki nehin, aapne bachhe ki jyada padi hain.

Bijoy says that he is listening what she is saying. But does she think that now that Dev knows about Suhana he has changed? Is this a good sign?

Me: And even if Dev changes AFTER finding out about Soha, then let Dev be Soha's father. Sonakshi can still continue to live as is. That's not a problem. It's not as if even today Sonakshi matters a whit to Dev. All he cares about is Soha.

But Bijoy, I am glad you calmed down. That gives Sonakshi a person to discuss her fear. If you keep shouting, you'd create a barrier between you that may not help your relationship.

At Dixit house, Dev comes down and Ishwari goes to him and tells him that she met this girl who is so cute and everything. Dev reveals that she is Suhaana, all smiley face and proud that she is like a pari.

Me: Haan, thanks to Sonakshi, Bhaiya. Kam se kam ek thank you bol dete. Lekin jaane do. Aap se koi kya expect kare.

Mamaji says that's why she seemed to feel so close, because she is their blood. Elena is also happy. Radha is not happy.

Me: Ah, that's why you guys treated Sonakshi and Elena like pawns to be used and discarded. I am so glad that Sonakshi was smart enough to dump you lot. I hope she never comes back to you guys, any of you. None of you deserve her.

Ishwari asks Dev, why didn't he say that to her before. She was getting desperate to hear Dadi from Suhana. If she knew that she was Suhana, she'd have clutched her and never let go.

Me: That's the main point.

She continues, how could Dev stay away. Why didn't he rush to her and hug her?

Me: Those are lame excuses.

Ishwari continues that he had been breaking a mother's heart for so long. How could he separate Suhana from her Dadi.

Me: Seriously? He was not breaking you, the mother's heart. He was breaking Suhana's mother's heart.

Dev says that he wanted to give Suhana time to accept him. He didn't want to rush her. She didn't call him papa yet. He didn't want to scare her.

Me: Good idea.

Ishwari gets hyper that she can't wait to meet Suhana. She wants to meet Suhana right away. She says that it is the duty of elders to remove all confusion from the mind of a child.

Me: Yeh lo. Drug addict ki desperation chalu. Ab dekhna yeh drug addict kaise sunkte hue Suhana ke upar chad jaati hain. Maine bola tha Bhaiya ki jab tak Suhana aapko accept naa kare, aap apna muh bandh rakhna. Lekin nehin. Aapko to family re-union ki padi thi.

At Bose house, Suhana is in deep thought. Sonakshi and Bose family tries to distract her but she answers in one word. She asks her mother if she can call Golu's BigCha.

Sonakshi agrees to call Dev. She also asks that if he asks to meet Soha if she is ready? Soha says that she is not ready yet. But if he asks, she will say no.

Me: Anyone has any doubt whatsoever that Sonakshi has ever imposed her insecurities on Soha? She just needed one sign, one request from Suhana and she is willing to lay the world at her feet, at Suhana's own time, at her own pace. Sonakshi is not the kind of parents who force their children. But she prepared Soha for what to expect. I always thought that she is an exceptional mother.

Soha calls Dev and Dev answers in full attitude, "Miss Bose ko meri yaad kaise aa gayee?" But Soha answers that she dialed his number. Dev is pleasantly surprised to hear Soha's voice.

Me: At least Dev you were not a grade A jerk when you picked up the phone despite the snarky tone and Soha is still an innocent. Imagine what impression she will get of a man who talks to her mother with disrespect?

Later, Ishwari is day dreaming about how many sweater she will knit for Suhana and in what colours. Dev sees his mother happy and feels that just like his mother had said that he brought happiness in her life, Suhana brought back his happiness. He is happy that how his mother's life is changing, how happiness is returning in her life. He smiles and thinks that his mother DESERVES to meet her poti just as much he deserves to meet his daughter.

Me: And this is why Dev, you will NEVER deserve Sonakshi.

Let's put this into perspective.

Sonakshi and her family was insulted. Dev does nothing to support his wife or her family's honour. Sonakshi leaves. Dev blames his mother for pre-nup and Sonakshi for everything else.

Seven years, he keeps blaming his mother and stayed angry.

Sonakshi comes back. Dev gets new scapegoat. Mother is absolved.

Now all blames belongs to Sonakshi.

He finds out about Soha. Goes to destroy Sonakshi because she hid his child. Turns out mother. But that's all fine now.

Never once apologizes to Sonakshi for his misbehavior, accusations, his mother's mistakes. Now decides that despite his mother being responsible for Suhana's mother's insult, disrespect, struggle, pain, loneliness and yes, also Suhana being deprived of a father for six years, HIS mother deserves candy Suhana to keep her happy.

7 years ago, his mother acquired a toy for her son to keep him happy. Now Dev is getting a toy for his mother to keep her happy.

Precap:

Sona asks Dev to meet her at passport office. Dev is now willing to go anywhere for his daughter. He agrees to meet her. Their cars stop in front of the office.

Me: I am so glad I am going on a vacation. I don't want to listen to Mummy Puran again.

P.S. Dear frustrated souls after this episode, go read Suvika's OS she posted today. But keep ice water handy to take a dip in later. Those who live in Canada, just walk outside.
