Wanted to come online last night Tia. But I was too busy after watching the episode!!
Are there people like Dev Dixit and Ishwari Dixit in the real world?? You bet there are. Worse ones in fact. But for God's sake, this guy is supposed to be the male lead of the show. Just how long would the fans and viewers continue to justify / tolerate his attitude and behaviour?? In my OS / SS, I try to pull him out of the rut he has dug himself into and he comes out, digs another deeper hole and jumps into it with both feet in!! Forget low IQ...he is on the negative right now. He could have gone to Sonakshi and shouted at her first or go to Bose house, wanting to meet his daughter..there at least Bijoy or Sona herself would have drilled some sense before he could blurt out to a six year old so senselessly.

And I don't even want to talk about Ishwari!! I got this creepy feeling last night. The way she didn't even mention Sonakshi even once. Look...I totally agree and accept the fact that we tend to look for ourselves in our kids / grandkids...whatever. But the way she was going all hyper about the little girl, how much she would look like Dev or like her...you get the drift...don't you?? I don't want to even voice that thought. I will leave it by saying it was creepy for me.

And what did she and Dev think?? Suhana has been living on streets all these years that now he would just pick her up and bring her home??

Do the makers even have any plan to redeem his character, I wonder. Because he is on a speeding train, fast reaching the point of no return.

But we don't. Us women are our problem, Shailu. We raise men and teach them to disrespect girls on the street, their girlfriend, their wives. We teach them that different rules apply for the women in their family and women from other family. We defend them even when we know they are wrong.

And we raise women and teach them to hate other women, see them as their competition instead of companion, and point fingers at them instead of supporting them.

We women are root cause of our own condition.

Hi tia... I love your posts. Every single time. Though i am pretty non active on the forum. So apologies thst the first time i am responding is to disagree.

But this is something which the whole men's movement have been recently peddling. When faced with assholes in their gender they now conveniently turn the blame on to the women themselves. That the moms raised their sons wrong. No one talks about how fathers contribute to wrong upbringing. So if a woman is being beaten up, its her fault that she tolerates it. Its her fault that her son sees this as ok and does the same. Not the Father's fault for doing the beating

No one talks about how women who are raised in patriarchy and are told their temporary worth is only their womb, how are they supposed to overcome decades of social and mental conditioning and raise enlightened sons? Are not the male members also equally responsible in raising sons

Its just that no matter what the situation it somehow comes back to us. That men turn out bad because we didn't raise them well. Its always our fault. Our shortcomings are our fault. The shortcomings of the men we know is also our fault.

So on a lighter note, this was kind of what I was imagining today at Dev and Soha's scene...

Suvika, just how much I was thinking about your story today you have no idea my dear. Before the episode started I was going like, Please, please CVs. Plagiarize Suvika and fanktik's story. But all in vain. If Dev had gone straight to Sonakshi and did the precap scene skipping Soha's part, I'd have no problem with him. He can ask for explanation. But what he did today was insensitivity and pigheadedness of a different level. I am not even going to Ishwari because in my opinion she is a waste of space. But Dev is like the little boy who grabs whichever toy he wants regardless who is holding it.

So are there people like Dev and Ishwari? Yes. The difference is that they are not termed as hero and are justified in real life when they are committing crime.

As of now, I see no redemption for Dev.

It's gotta be all about Suhana now.. But Dev-Ish again making it all about themselves... Just hope Sona brings them out of their illusion and make it all about Soha... She has to just ignore these two people's drama and stand by her daughter.. For her own and for her daughter sake...๐Ÿ˜Š

You raised a good point bips... Yes, fathers are also responsible for raising assholes. And yes, the fault of a douchebag is that douchebag's fault. But let me explain what I meant by that. The thing is that if men defend their own gender to maintain the patriarchal system because it benefits them, I can understand that. I don't agree that it is the right thing to do but it is in their own best interest to continue to defend the patriarchal society.

However, it is never in a woman's best interest to continue to defend a douchebag or to aid men to maintain a patriarchal mindset. Yet they continue to blindly defend a jerk and blame women. Keep in mind that a lot of those defence are not coming from uneducated people. These are educated, generally well off people.

So yes, the society is patriarchal. Men will never stop defending this system. Why should they?

Now if women also continue to stay silent or support the same system, then this system will be established permanently.

That's in no one's best interest. Not even men because the pressure is on them too to live up to a certain expectations.

History is proof that every time women united to fight for rights, they got it.

Take suffragette movement. There were women who didn't want the status quo to change. They wanted to remain a man's property to be pampered. But majority of the women wanted their rights and they got it.

So that's why bios, I am blaming woman. The men who abuses are definitely to be blamed. But every finger that is raised to the victim should also be blamed, specially when it is a woman's finger.

We have the key to solve our problem to get equal rights and our due respect and most importantly, a very good motive. The fact that a lot of women are turning on there women is the reason we don't have equal rights.

With such an episode of Ms. Suhana Bose, a repeat watch toh should happen... ๐Ÿ˜‰
In that repeat, I couldn't help but laugh at the reaction of Ishu... She has related the new girl with everyone at her home... Yes, can't expect from a MIL on this... But felt happy when Elena said "Sona... She has become the mother"...

I hope Sonakshi turns into her Royal Bengal Tigress with single cub on Ishwari and Dev if they try to create problem.

As you said, PP, in real life no one tells us who is the hero and who is the villain. In real life our actions determines our character.
