Tia,
i have a different take here. agreed Dev is a pig head in breaking the news to suhana in the most insensitive way. look at the flip side of it, she ran away, was about to meet with an accident and dev got to witness it first hand. he now knows if he tries anything drastic, he will lose soha forever and that is the last thing he will ever want.

if not for this incident, sona and dev will never have the much needed confrontation. its time The mighty Dev dixit gets a dose of his own medicine. time for sona to weild the iron fist. time for dev to face the reality of signing away his rights on his unborn child in the form of prenup , time for him to be at the receiving end of denial and rejection.

I have a gut feeling ishwari will once again meddle in this new relationship and will drive away soha from Dev. once this happens, only then he will be forced to "FEEL" the interference. until now he was never at receiving end. let him face it to feel it, when someone else dictates your life and your choices.

As you said, PP, in real life no one tells us who is the hero and who is the villain. In real life our actions determines our character.

Yes... I just don't want Sona to limit herself with her side of struggle and difficult journey...
She has to just go on with the next course of actions... She has to drive it forward and not let The Dixits' drive it... πŸ˜‰

You are right. Well, something good came out of his insensitivity I guess. But how will he control Ishwari though? She is the loose cannon with added psycho tendencies. I am afraid she might ruin whatever bridge Dev manage to build by going behind him to get Soha. She did the same for Sonakshi, remember? Her son wants and Ishu doesn't provide, how is it possible? She wants to be the Goddess to get the toy for her son.

But all in vain. If Dev had gone straight to Sonakshi and did the precap scene skipping Soha's part, I'd have no problem with him. He can ask for explanation. But what he did today was insensitivity and pigheadedness of a different level. I am not even going to Ishwari because in my opinion she is a waste of space. But Dev is like the little boy who grabs whichever toy he wants regardless who is holding it.

So are there people like Dev and Ishwari? Yes. The difference is that they are not termed as hero and are justified in real life when they are committing crime.

As of now, I see no redemption for Dev.

That is exactly how Dev behaved last night. 😑

@bold: πŸ‘πŸΌYes, it's high time that he sees it... But only doubt is will CVs make him see it?! πŸ˜•

@red: He has been facing it time and again but he has been comfortably avoiding seeing it... I can't even imagine the life that he's voluntarily allowing himself to live... Being dictated for every choice and option in his life... I'm feeling suffocated seeing him but doesn't appear like he's feeling it yet... But the moment Sona asks him to do something he feels it... How is that? Such men either will be happy to obey and follow someone or the other and be happy as long as they are not taking the pressure of deciding their own life... πŸ˜† Now will he be annoyed with Soha if she asks him to do something?! Anyway Soha is an independent girl already and she will advice him to do things on his own... πŸ˜†

The CVs are on some kind of a bullet train. I mean it took them ages to get Dev to meet Sona. But now within a week, they have met, bonded, Dev finds out, Soha finds out and Sonakshi finds out that both Dev and Soha have found out πŸ˜† The CVs have successfully reduced Dev into a 10 year old kid who has no idea about logic and sensibility. Dev realized he loves Sonakshi, he couldn't wait to confess, stayed awake all night and proposed early next morning. Dev realized his mom attempted suicide, immediately jumps to conclusions and breaks up with Sona the very next moment. His mom says yes to marriage, he takes a bunch of flowers and lands in Sona's office the very next moment. Dev finds out wifey is not pregnant but his mom and Sona are behaving like Kokila-Gopi vau, so he instantly fakes the pregnancy (best 🀣). If anything, the writers have been consistent in making him this silly, immature kid who cant think straight πŸ˜† The only way I can appreciate yesterday's episode to an extent is if this was shown to make Dev understand its not so easy and he backs off from going for a custody battle. Not only because the show already has unbearable drama but also because the writers have zilch idea about Indian laws and how the judiciary works. Someone already pointed out that a prenup is not legally enforceable in India. Am sure the writers will also make a mockery of lawyers and the legal system like they have with almost every single profession out there. I'd rather they just stick to butchering characters πŸ˜†
P.S. I like the fact that Dev uses 'aap' for Suhana. I found it interesting that he always referred to his mom as 'tum' while he used to refer to Sona as 'aap'. I found the same reverence in his tone yesterday while he was talking to Soha. Except in Dev's dictionary, adoration and reverence eventually results in obsessionπŸ˜† I just hope the CVs break this cycle now and show something positive and light for a change. Unlike all the shows which show nonsense and then show a random happy ending in the last episode.

Lovely discussions .
One more thing Soha is exact replica of Sona - her effort to keep a promise. ❀️ She remembers it and acts on it.

Dev should be proud that Soha is nothing like him πŸ˜†

If not from a reality perspective, just because it's a fiction, and nothing to do with a real child in real time... I would be happy if Soha is so upset that she's not ready to see anyone be it her mother or father... And slowly it's only Sona that can get close to open her up and Dev is just made to witness it from far... Because he will not believe it himself if Sona says so... πŸ˜†
And slowly it should make Dev suffer and suffer till Soha is back to her normal self to finally even look at him... Till then forget poti darshan for Ishu tooo πŸ˜†... And through Sona Dev gets to make the connect with Soha very very veryyy slowly... One moment at a time... Then they can finish the show finallly...πŸ˜†

Your threads, Tia! ❀️ Even if a day comes and it crosses 150 pages, I'll still go through them all because such GOOD discussion. It offers you so much to read, from personal experiences to personal inputs, from different perspectives to each perspective making sense, from how fiction works to how reality works and all of it.
