Its what compelled me to make a post in the first place..People are ridiculously judgmental about opposing views here..For one, its a fictional show meant for entertainment. Not a life and death scenario. I get that you love the show but ppl here act like Sona is their chachi ki beti and Dev is their bhanja and they need personal protection from anyone who is out to bash them or criticize their actions. Why cant ppl just let opinions be? When I read posts like 'I cant believe people continue to justify this character', 'Thank God am sane enough to analyze this properly and support the right person' etc., am amazed that people dont understand the basic concept that opinions are subjective and what you say is not a fact. And what is trash for you might be treasure to the other. If only people took this as a fictional show meant for entertainment and debated in good spirit. Too much to expect from IF.

take a bow! hats off to your maturity.

maybe i am also expecting too much.. has me really thinking

Fine preethi. your views are respected.

so to understand what you are saying better, are you suggesting that if someone uses some words on a character and a person does not like it, they are free to bash the writer? I believe this is the crux of the point being made. I am sorry but no one has any right to bash any other member and there is no reason ever to do so.

I never said it is ok. I can't tell the whole forum to avoid a post they don't like & even if I did nobody is going to listen!

Even as I write there is a post by some member which is getting the forum riled up. Already it has run into 3 pages. All I'm saying charachter bashing leads to member bashing. That's how it is & always been.

They as in IF have some code of conduct in place so it can always be used by the moderator.

There was a show on star which was so popular in this forum that when the hero left the show many members of that forum harassed the channel so much that they were forced to shut it down. The main reason for that is the fans did not want to see any other actor romancing the original heroine. That's how emotionally attached fans become to fictional characters.

Yeah you are expecting too much 😆 IF thrives on trolling and riling up people. And everyone takes fictional shows and characters seriously and act like their opinion is the gospel truth. It almost feels like people are fighting for the independence of the country. Thats how vociferous and judgmental they are while discussing a fictional character 😆

Agreed. Problem arises where people at times tend to forget this is fiction and these characters don't exist. To avenge the perceived insult of their favourite fictional characters they start insulting real human beings.

My only request is that even if a person is using very derogatory language against a fictional character, do we need to stoop to his or her level and start using bad comments against members?

I always tell my son, whenever anyone crosses the line of decency, he exposes himself and his family. You please maintain your standard and walk out from there.

This is my request to you also Sir. No need to waste time energy or mental peace. Not worth it. People who have been interacting in the forum with you, know you and respect you for what you are. So why care about a few useless comments.

This forum used to be mature. There was never any need for moderations simply cause all were sensible and respected each other's views. We used to have healthy discussion about characters track future plots. With time members who used to.post contrasting views left slowly (doctor I can remember for one) and soon there was none who could post any different pov on show or character. Nowadays people's jump on others topic saying you are wrong, biased and so on. Healthy discussion is a two way street, if one comes inside to tell you are wrong, don't follow it with points and simply post to ruin others mood how can the forum stay calm? You say forum is family, the only time this family is seen when people have to jump on a post which don't match others. God forbid you call dev anything less than perfect, or give counter argument as to why he goes beyond the overused flawed. Tia's post used to be safe, from past 2 days even it's being used as punching bag and moral police brigade.

Simple rhing- don't like a post, don't enter and comment. If you comment have decency to follow the replies and give your points in civilized manner. Can do none? Report it. As simple is that.

Spot On ! This is what happens when ppl take characters of fiction too close to their heart and sometimes relate it to such an extant that they are not able to differentiate betwn real and reel...

I agree with you ...when ever we have a difference of opinion we should only state our opinion ...and at the same time do not consider others who think differently to be bad people or wrong...we always can have multiple approaches to solve the same problem...and just because we all think differently doesn't make us bad...

For me this attitude is not limited to the forum , I try my best to follow this in both personal and professional life...

Its all abt how much you can accept another persons view point that is different from yours...acceptance need not mean agreeing to their viewpoints...but to accept them as who they are...

No matter how many times you request members, some never fail to get personal when writing comments. People's remark on intellectual levels and sanity in turn shows the immaturity of said members. I for one refrain from commenting on such member posts and/or comments. Those who can't respect ones POV on a absolutely fictional show and characters better stay away and I would do the same. I remember writing on someones post not to tell anyone to stop watching the show just because they disagree with your point of view. However, some still continue suggesting the same even now. sad.

Absolutely agree! And we do not have any right to tell anyone to leave the forum or stop watching the show! It is a pity that maturity is lacking to understand the difference between fictional characters and real people. The 'my way or the highway' is never the way for any discussion.
