Actually I was watching the old epi of 25th May where Dev-Sona have a convo on Love. How he wanted to take expert advice from someone who falls in love only once...not Elena who falls twice every month.

There is no question of money...he was hurt that she never understood him and when he needed the most she didn't show the patience of listening to him. If you see their confrontation scene before his rude out burst he decided to be with her . But the prenup was game changer...again she preferred to go by what Vicky said.. and now on stage crediting her success to him is more of a taunt because he knows what her circumstances were when she had left Delhi...and because of whom she and her family had to go thru the pain.

He is hurt because he loves her a lot and he wants her to understand him and his actions ( just like how a mother understands her toddler and his temper )

A wonderful post indeed ! As a fan, I had this wish that there should have been a side character in the show - Dev's friend.. We know none of the people in his home makes an attempt to listen to his problems.. Mamaji hardly was with him..

Sona had Elena, and her supportive family as well (Suha also added now), but there is no one with Dev... There should have been a friend of Dev who would make him realize if he's doing wrong, give him some suggestion, listen to his problems, and also defend him whenever he is criticised by GKB or Dixits.. It would have been a perfect balance..

There was Bunty in the beginning but he was hardly shown... Probably, a character like Alfred for Bruce Wayne in Batman...

True he needs a friend...but that girl in his room is more of a third angle and is dangerous for our Dev and Sona...I hope the CVs don't take story similar to EKs serials...one night stand under the influence of alcohol ...and the girl gets pregnant , he gets to know of his daughter from his marriage with Sona...but has to marry the girl whom she slept with etc etc...I don't like this kind of story...
I hope he didn't sleep with her...instead created a ruckus in front of Sona's room and got arrested.

How can the core of his character change...Its not that since I believe in one man-one woman concept, I am having problem watching Dev like this. Not so, its confusing me as to how can a person change fundamentally so much...I'm not entirely convince he has. His love made him stalk, drink etc earlier...not recommendable but he loved only once.

Wonderful analysis! I do pity dev. He's all screwed up in his head & has no one to talk to. Men are emotionally weak & they do sink into an abyss when a life changing event happens! Lot of men.

The point is where do they go from here. Sona knows he has other ladies in his life, ish blames sona, mamaji is as usual a mute spectator etc. if in 7 years there has been no growth or introspection by the characters what is going to propel them to to so? Suhana, is she the key to solving all the problems?only the cvs can answer that.

Now coming to Dev. He is not angry at Sona . He is angry at his mom and his family . He is angry because he feels used by them. He is hurt that his needs didnt matter to them...his love ..his Sonakshi.. the one thing that he wanted in his life was snatched away by the people for whom he had lived so far. Dev as a person never shared his pain to anyone from his younger age. Even his mother who proclaims to know him has no clue about his fears, desires, likes , wishes etc.It is Sona who could see him thru as a "MAN". He enjoyed being with her because she gave him the freedom to breath and had no expectations from him. She enjoyed his company because he is the first person outside her family cared for her so much. Slowly Sona and Dev became each others weakness. Among the two Sona was a stronger person primarily because she had a good support system at home and at the same time a fabulous mom . Dev was emotionally dependent on Sona and slowly was becoming addicted to her ...her presence in his life.

So far so good. Now comes infertility issue. When Sona knows abt this she is completely broken and role reversal had to happen. Dev had to become the strong one ...but what to do , he was never brought up as an emotionally strong person. He could not become that emotional anchor that Sona required. And here the balance is lost and what we see is a Divorce betwn them.

After such an incident in life every one needs something to look forward to. I always believe that 90% women become stronger when faced with difficulties...where as men on the other hand gets into the so called shell and break loose.I guess this why they say men are from mars and women are from venus!!

Sona had no time to brood abt her broken relationship because another relationship was blossoming in her womb. To top it all it was her Dev's child that was growing in her. That too when every one had thought that she could never be a mom!!

On the other hand Dev...lost the battle completely ...and now he doesnt have his emotional support too!! He knows he was cheated by his mom whom he considered as GOD ...that image broke..he did speak to his mom about what he felt abt the incident and about her role play in that ... but that was an emotional conversation...again bottled up decides to do everything that Sona had challenged him...and from here on we see a new Dev...7 yrs of emotions bottled up...his relationship with that girl is a facade ...again his old habbit of temp solution..he is deeply in love with Sona...seeing her after 7 yrs was a bliss but her words at the stage hurt him and he had to let it out...all those frustration , anger , love ..every emotion possible had to come out...but did he speak abt it to the girl in the hotel room...NOPE!!

Today he behaved typically like a toddler failing in a task and then fighting with the one he/loves the most...so him going and making a ruckus in front of her room proves that in his life his mom is out of the picture...the one who he considers to be close to him is SONA...HIS SONA...someone who he thinks can understand him and will never judge him wrongly.

Dev needs healing ..someone needs to show him the mirror and tell him how much he is hurting Sona..., sadly Sonakshi is in no frame of mind or has the patience to deal with him. Reason he has hurt her with his words on topics that she never thought of hearing from "HER DEV". She loves him too just that now she has greater responsibility to taking care of Soha...and she doesnt have time for his childish acts..

His ONLY CHANCE of heeling now is from his daughter Soha. Am eagerly waiting to see the bonding betwn Soha and Dev...waiting to see if the CV team will show how Soha helps Dev to find peace in his life...let us see what our CV team has in store for us...( very unpredictable team !!)

PS : Having said the above I do not justify his action of giving hope to another girl when his mind and body is yearning for his SONA!!Not at all justified!! Even if he marries his girl friend...I am sure he will see Sona's face when he looks at her...her every word from her will sound as if Sona is taking. For a person like him , its best to get back to his love or stay as a Bachelor!!

For starters he has to accept his part for the separation as well n not just blame Ishwari n Sona. He has to understand why Sona left..it was culmination of lot of events tht eventually led Sona to lose trust in him. He has to understand how miserably he failed to build that trust.
