Mother n toddler example is the best to explain Dev's condition these days.

But, I have a different opinion regards to Dev n Soha...yes, I want them to have a beautiful bond but I want Dev n Sonakshi to open their heart out n confess where they went wrong in their relationship coz somewhere I found Sona equally at fault as Dev.
Hopefully, we all will get what we expect from this show which is still very close to us atleast mine.

The post is right but inconsistent with the business side of Dev. One has to be very very strong mentally and emotionally for rising from rags to riches, unless its a lottery gain or corrupt means. BTW that also requires a lot of courage. CVs have not looked at this aspect

Both Dev and Sona were equally immensely affected by this separation. However Sona was able to come out of this trauma because of the strong emotional support from her family and more importantly Soha and also motivation and drive to prove herself because of the harsh words and treatment from Dev and his family. Whereas Dev is still at the same point in the life and has not able come out of the heart break which has come out evident in yesterday's episode, still thinks of Sonakshi even after 7 years. He is totally broken down and all alone as Soha said in the first episode. He has nobody to pour his heart out. In yesterday's episode he was almost in the brink of breaking down. Even criminal in the jail gets emotional and medical help to overcome his mental state/ depression and I feel Dev desperately needs help and compassion to come out and move on his life. The only ray of hope I see for Dev is Soha after all he is her father. Sonakshi needs to help Soha to help her father move on in his life. I understand that Sonakshi has no obligation to involve herself but for her daughter's sake she can provide a lending hand to her daughter. I said Sonakshi because Dev does not have anybody in his life other than his daughter's mother to help. How ironical? By saying all this I am not defending Dev for his actions but as a fellow human being he deserves compassion and emotional and mental and support system and a helping hand.

Dev needs help, but that brings us to the core issue, of him not realising his mistakes. Even on the day of breakup, he confessed, he did nothing wrong. He wrongly accused Sonakshi for forcing him to choose between his mother and wife, which she never did. He refused to accept the fact that it was always his mother who tried to break his and Sonakshi's relation. It was his mother who had asked him to choose between her and his wife. He didn't tell Sonakshi that he did not willingly sign the prenup document but was duped by his mother to sign it. He simply said it does not matter. Had he said that on that day, Sonakshi would not had been so angry and breakup would not had happened. Sonakshi understood exactly what he showed her that he signed the documents before willingly. And not he is becoming even darker.

Yes in a relationship , there needs to be a balance required ...an emotional balance...when one becomes weak/angry/sad/frustrated/irritated.. the role reversal has to take place if not the relationship fails. Dev has never seen her weak. Dev has still not accepted that she could be weak and needed a support system .
( Remember Sona's words in the initial episode when she caught him taking sleeping pills...that every one needs a support system ...at Dev's house Sona didnt have the support system she had at her home ) Here when Sona became weak Dev couldnt rise up to be the emotional anchor and thats when his relatives aslo decided to strike for their selfish motives...end result DevAkshi failed !!

Actually I was watching the old epi of 25th May where Dev-Sona have a convo on Love. How he wanted to take expert advice from someone who falls in love only once...not Elena who falls twice every month.

How can the core of his character change...Its not that since I believe in one man-one woman concept, I am having problem watching Dev like this. Not so, its confusing me as to how can a person change fundamentally so much...I'm not entirely convince he has. His love made him stalk, drink etc earlier...not recommendable but he loved only once.

1) Sona is like oxygen for him. His relatives or his mom... have not understood this . They have killed the goose which gave them golden eggs.
2) Now he is the toddler who is failed and toddlers never accept their mistake...all they do is the outburst...never think how their outburst are going to affect the other person/mom...if you scold them or hit them back ...they are going continue the same...because they are not emotionally matured to understand why we hit them...so they repeat the same negative action that we gave to them to understand why ( Pure human psychology)...so the best way is to tell them, that you are getting hurt with their actions and , how much in pain you are because of their behaviour...show that you are hurt...

And they will understand this because they love you so much and their outburst was never meant to hurt you !! Here Sona is hurt him back...and this agitating him even further !!
