Wow glad to know that I am not alone to think about Shree Ram is not a good husband or father too because he asks sita in front of the kids that how he can trust that I am the father(people will nnot trusting ).
While Dev is still blaming sona so for me he is uselesshhusband and father at this point. I have feeling that Soha will realize him that he is the only person who failed to keep his promis & he needs to redeem his own deeds. I don't have big hope though.

Interesting post... Very well written.👏

Dev and Lord Ram... ummm... yeah, I too can see similarities between them...

But, you know what? Earlier Dev aka Devrat was compared to Mahabharata's Bhishma aka Devrat, both carry the same name... This was before he met Sona...

Bhishma obeyed his father very obediently and also took oath to never get married and serve the kingdom without any selfish intentions...

Similarly, our Dev too was / is very obedient to his mom and was serving his family selflessly, he would've remained unmarried as his mom was not in the mood to marry him any time sooner. Sonakshi happened to him by chance, if she hadn't come to Dev's life he would've remained unmarried all his life, as he never thought about himself and his happiness, it was always his family.

Oh my! How did I miss your post! I was so mad yesterday, I made a post earlier today and logged into that only through mail. So, I missed yours.
An interesting comparison. Ram's character as a husband has always been weak. He never stood up for his wife, and the same with Dev. Check out my rant when you have time to see how frustrated I am 🤢Bottomline is I am not even thinking what he is doing now. As you said, they are divorced - he can do whatever he wants for all I care. However, if the makers wished to take the love story forward, how can they not show even an ounce of growth in his character???? Even if he has not been merrymaking, even if he has helped Sona's business, even if he later acknowledges his love, even if Soha brings them closer - what has changed to keep them together this time??? I see nothing! Zero progress as you have pointed out. Even I see no progress in Sona emotionally, only comercially. She knows Dev, yet reacts the same way as before. Yesterday was very disappointing. Dev helping Sona in her business is not going to redeem him in my eyes. As long as they don't grow emotionally, there's no hope for them.

Hi suvika! Wonderful write up showing us the parallels between ram & dev.

Even though we worship ram as god today his avatar was a normal human with all the faults that go with being a human.

That said I'm waiting for dev to grow up - introspect on his actions . But the cvs have the characters stuck where they were before the leap. Frustration is creeping in! Hopefully some growth is seen in dev & only then the rest of dixit clan can grow!
