We all know Vicky is a shitty excuse for a human being. But he didn't let Radha, his mother insult his wife. He put him and his wife on the same level. That's what a marriage is all about where husband and wife stands on the same level.

Dev had stood silently and watched while Sonakshi was insulted many times by Ishwari and Radha. Only after the recent fever he has learned to open his mouth and defend his wife.

I am not saying any son should keep quiet when his wife insults his mother. No son should ever do that.

But, any husband should not keep quiet when his mother insults his wife either.

Today Radha could have insulted Elena, her upbringing, Bose's culture like she did with Sonakshi many times. She didn't say anything today because Vicky made sure that she knew that insulting Elena will make her loose her son.

Had Dev done the same, I'd have called him an ideal husband as well. But he may be an ideal son, he has a long way to go until he is an ideal husband.

What Vicky turns out to be that remains to be seen. But just because we hate his guts, we can't take away from what he has done right today.

Came across many of the post on the forum saying that now Dev will learn from Vicky how to treat his wife, vicky should also share the spine with the Dev.

I don't agree.

Let me tell what is Dev and what is Vicky.

Dev... A man who struggle his entire life to get the peaceful bread and butter for his family.

A man who have lost his childhood to earn money and to become the support of his mother.

A man who thinks about others before himself.

A man who thinks about his sisters desires before himself.

A man who keep his family above all his desires.

A man who don't give a single thought before fulfilling the wishes of his family.

A man who understand the favours of his uncle and in his bad days he became his support.

A man who loves to eat the any dish made by his mother even if he is not feeling to eat just to keep his mother's heart.

Though we sometimes don't like the halwa scene but here I am not talking about ishwari's intentions.

A man who fall in love for the first time and want someone for himself. But

A man who can sacrifice his love just to give the peace to his mother.

I don't think he didn't took the stand for Sona, he did.And infact he respects her. I can highlight many but few only I have penned down.

Before marriage when Mami ji taunting sona and stop her saying becoming a doctor is not an easy task.

He took the stand when Neha and Mami ji leaving no stone to blame Sona in Ayaan fiasco.

He fought with his brother for his wife's respect.

I knew that he left Sona for his mother.

But it is easy to think about ourself but others, but keeping the others wishes first than ourself is not a cake walk.

He chose to hurt himself than hurting his mother.

And he made mistakes as he is a man and very well know how to rectify the mistakes and it really take a lots of guts to accept the mistakes.

Vicky...A man who is a brat, used to tease the girls.

A man who never ever earn a single pie on his own.

A man who along with his mom play tricks to get money from his brother.

A man who can lie to any extent to fulfill his desires.

A man who got the job because of his mother's black mailing but didn't know the ethics of work.

A man who betrayed a brother who trust him by taking a huge amount from the company.

A man who can't respect his mom, a Mother who made the Halwa with so much love for him .

A man who don't know how to respects the relations.

He behaved badly with his Bhabhi

A man who didn't gave a thought about his family before getting elope and getting married.

Today his one dialogue may have amazed many of the people that "Bahu Jayegi toh Beta Bhi Jayega"

He didn't gave a single thought before saying this that he is the only child and only support of his parents.

Here I found him very selfish

So failing in all the aspects and taking a stand for your wife. And loving your wife is enough and that also we don't know whether he genuinely loves her.

A man will be a man who respect every relation, for whom each relationship has a level of responsibility and fulfilling all the responsibilities before thinking about ourself. As every relation has its own place.

I know we should think own self first but sometimes we need keep ourselves aside.

If we have to think about ourselves first and keeping our desires on top everytime then no relation will be

complete and perfect in this world.

So guys tell me can taking a stand for your wife only can make a man an Ideal Person .

If I had said more and have hurt someone, I am really sorry, I have just pour my heart and no intentions to hurt and bashed any character.

The reason why people are praising Vicky knowing all his past is because he did not treat his love ( who is a human being and not a gulity pleasure item) as a commodity that can be sacrificed for others. Dev is definitely financially secure and hard working and has several other good qualities as well but he promised a girl the moon and then ditched her for his mother's whims several times. He never bothers to discuss the issue with his mother to give his point of view or tell the other human being (Sona) that he is going to dump her again . He is more worried to show how good a son/ brother he is than a decent human behavior with his wife. Dev has played several dirty tricks with others to get what he wanted as well. Dev takes his relationship with Sona forgranted while Vicky is treating Elena with more respect (at least now) .
