Hi tia...
I have always read your posts on the episodes of KRPKAB everyday - because i like your witty style even though many times I did not agree with your views.

But now, considering how the storyline is progressing I am forced to agree with you...

The main problem is not Dev and Ishwari but Sona herself as she is not standing up for her rights both with Dev and her MIL. I think what the CVs are trying to show is that after the birthday fiasco, Sona would leave the house. I am quite sure that there would be separation track and this time Sona would not give in so easily - this time its obviously more messy because they are married and there are two families involved.

Only when Dev is left alone would he realise Sona's importance in his life.

We are now going around in cycles - Misunderstanding/ fights- making up - Maa unhappy- and then we go again the same route. This has to end sometime with a big dhamaka - my take is that the dhamaka would happen either after Ria's engagement/ shaadi or Dev's birthday!

Cheers
Asha

Dear tia.o,
As usual ur posts are superb to read and this time it's a story which superbly explains this shitty serial without taking names!!

And yes u r right that we r being given a horror story in the name of romance and we don't want girls to think that this is what is meant when a man says he loves her!!!

I used to admire shaheer sheikh since HIS Mahabharata days.. but this serial has just shown how desperate the guy is for making money that he can stoop to any level of acting..what makes me so angry is that this guy always talks about making clean cinema.. someone needs to ask him what is his understanding of clean cinema?????

I just hope this serial dips in trp ratings so much that the channel decides to pull the plug on this serial- that will save us from watching this shitty horror serial , save a lot of girls from not despising love and most importantly not create more "DEVs" and ISHWARIs!!!

Thanks. It's not necessary to agree with me to visit my post provided one is respectful.

I have always held Sona equally responsible for her misfortune. Her biggest stupidity was rushing into the marriage without finding out if the root cause of their break up still existed or is no longer valid as in if Dev has changed from always doing his mother's command without caring who he hurt in the process or not.

He didn't give any indication that he has become a person who takes his decisions himself which was pretty evident when he accepted Sona when his mother gave her permission. Yet, Sona was in a rush to marry him never considering that if he can dump her when his mother says and take her back when his mother says, what is stopping him from dumping her again if his mother changes her mind?

But Dev is responsible as well. He made commitment to Sona, he claimed to love Sona, he made promises to Sona, but they were all lies. He didn't keep any of them. That makes him an unreliable and untrustworthy person.

And if he didn't keep any promises, then what is the guarantee that he will keep his wedding vows or commitment to Sona? No wonder he doesn't care about Sona's respect enough to stand up for her honour. So that makes him a crap husband who doesn't deserve to be married to any woman.

I don't blame Ishwari as much as Dev and Sona because Ishwari never loved Sona nor made her any promises that she broke. But she is double standard and a hypocrite who has one rule for her family and a different set of standard for Sona.

Thank you. But I don't blame the actor because he is under contract with the producer and it's his job. I blame CVs for turning a clean concept into a regressive saas-bahu drama and I blame those people who justify and condone women's disrespect in the name of reality.

It's not fair to accuse the actors for doing their job. Shaheer, Erika and Supriyaji are all excellent actors. Without their powerful performance, this show won't have been able to generate such a strong reaction. So please don't be upset with them.

If you want anyone to blame, blame the regressive attitude of the society that make this story some woman's reality. Imagine if our blood is boiling just watching the show, how they must be living in that situation with no escape or turn off button.

Sorry I really can't comment because I have totally stopped watching the show. Just come on the forum and read whatever the written updates. Soon will stop that also. I will start watching once Sonakshi walks out of that house and marriage.
But the analogy you gave was really nice. Some people are saying that Dev as a person is good. What they are not realising that he is good till he has his own way. And as regards his true love, conditional love is not love.

Prisoner of war is a different kind of show, little dark but logical and just different. May be try that. I have picked it up after deopping KRPKAB. For a week have been watching it, and it is good. And obviously not saas bahu at all.

I am in the same boat, my dear. I also just read the updates. Actually, speaking of nice people, Kim Jong-Un, the dictator from North Korea is also a very nice person, to those who does exactly what he says without asking any questions. He just murders people who doesn't do what he says. But very nice person otherwise.

Dev also LAUs Sona as long as she does what he says. The Lau doesn't stretch into those times when his mother doesn't give him permission or Sona doesn't behave like rest of his family and dance to his tunes. Honestly, he loves her personality as long as she keeps it at Bose house, not so much at his house. There's not enough room for it, you see. He never had one, so he might just trip over her personality and that won't do.

A kingdom of despair it is.
Sona was at fault when she agreed to marry Dev even after raising all the valid questions a day before in front of him and him giving no answers to any of them. But now she is trying to make her marriage work since day 1 by giving up on her self-respect like never existed before. I would again say, God knows what kind of love marriage it is where the girl is trying to adjust by bending so much from day1. Not even a bride after arranged marriage would take so much and do so much like her. About the taunts and insults, I think her behaviour is partially because she sees Dev not answering back to GKB, Neha or his mother and so she is bound to understand him being respectful enough to these so as not to reply back.

You won't believe some have already started worshipping Dev for he married Sona even when she cannot conceive. amazing haan. As If the whole purpose of marriage is to produce kids only. Sona should be happy after knowing this fact. I can see future when many would be sorry for Dev when Sona would be angry at Dev for hiding her reports which was a ethical failure on Dev's part.

Current situation of Neha is resulting due to frustration, of seeing someone happy with their husband, something she has already started missing but hasn't realised completely. Slowly she would go into deep sadness and be more bitter in the process to others. She deserves happiness because she is one dixit who has a heart. What she needs is a good soul who could help her retain some patience and make her understand reality of true happiness. Not the happiness what Sona has because I won't wish anyone the life Sona is living right now.

I don't know how someone justifies and many do, the daily insults on DIL as part of reality rather than getting to think over the atrocity of things done in our society in the name of culture. shameful. and then people complain about women getting tortured. Well now we know where that comes from, isn't it. Reality it is !!

BTW did the cv's forget about Khatri and Ranveer. I want them back. Thora Ishwari ko bhi tension lene do, how can she keep going with giving tension to others and receive none. 😉 😆

And Tia what a meaningful post... I love your writing.. I only come here to read your posts... And I don't watch this show... Because now I've learned to stop watching a show which doesn't entertain me anymore even if it is my favorite show with good looking onscreen couple...
