Today's episode gave me major frustration...

If I didn't like Neha so much, I'd tell Sona to let her hang her happiness with the rope supplied by her mother, brother and husband.

But my irritation for Neha's situation is much more than my admiration for Neha.

Ishwari, I am not a mother. But I got an excellent mother who was also a single mother like you. I have also seen mothers who spoil their kids to win brownie points and mothers who always help their children make the right decision whether they have to say something their kids don't want to hear or not.

You, Ishwari, is the worst kind of parents. Every parent is different and each of them has their own parenting style. But there is something that is quite obvious that parents should never do and you did every single one of them.

- You differentiated between your children, not only when it came to opportunity but also when it came to love, care and attention.

- You played favourite even after your situation was improved and you were not even subtle about it.

- You manipulated your children using the other children. When Neha complained of your differentiation among kids, you made her shut up using Dev's money and when Dev was unhappy with your manipulation, you made him dance to your tune using Neha's grief. You used and continue to use your children as pawn to maintain your status as Goddess.

- When your children made mistakes because of your bad parenting, instead of admitting your mistake and let them know that their decision is wrong and they should not ruin their life because of your mistakes, you let them do as they please so that you don't have to feel guilty or admit what a shitty mother you are.

You claimed to know your daughter. But the only time you are around her is to assure her that you will do whatever she wants. But you never tried to find out what she wants.

Sona spent more time talking to Neha and asking her questions than you did.

I read a story a long time ago. They were probably Eashop's fables or Panchatantra.

Two boys each stole a pencil and bring it home. One mother scolded her child and forced him to return the pencil and admit his mistake, the other mother hid the evidence and let her son get away with it.

The punished boy asked his mother if the other boy's mother loves him more. The punished boy's mother says that he won't understand now. But he will understand who is more loved when he grows up.

Years later, the punished boy is a judge. One day he sees the boy who didn't get punished is accused of bank robbery and murder associated with the robbery. As per the evidence, the judge sentences the other boy in a lifetime imprisonment.

The boy who was not punished and now a robber, walks up to his mother who was crying and claiming that his son is innocent and slaps her hard. The mother is shocked. The robber says, Had you punished me when I stole the first pencil and didn't keep hiding my mistakes, I won't have been a criminal today. I could not be a decent man because you were a bad mother.

The judge then realised that which mother truly loved her son and who was a better mother.

Ishwari is like the robber's mother.

Moving on to Ranveer and Dev, the consequences of Dev's threat and the extent of damage was never more evident than today.

No one paid attention to the fact that Ranveer claimed that Dev threatened him with lawyer, but everyone got busy as usual to blame the scapegoat to try to make this marriage work.

Sona, you are right. Anyone entering this family needs month long orientation and a medical sanity test which neither you nor Ranveer got.

However Ranveer, you made me feel like giving you a slap today. I understand how upset you were with Dev. But you should not have been so rude to Sona. She was never rude to you. You could have asked Sona with respect that you don't want to be with Neha anymore. It was as simple as that.

But your behaviour today was disrespectful to a woman who always stood up for you. If someone had come to your bhabhi and talked to her like you talked to Sona, how would you have felt?

If after this Dev never let's you set foot in his house or anywhere his sister, I can't blame him. Yes, he started it by insulting you. But you finished it by insulting someone who was always respectful to you.

Neither of you are without fault. But Dev has never insulted your family.

Sona, today you finally came clean with Dev the pitfalls you have been facing and Dev understood. He realised how difficult it is to feel part of a family when you are constantly criticised for not knowing what you haven't been told and being sidelined in every important issue.

And you are right, not only you should have got your Dixit orientation on how NOT to be a family, but Dev should have got Bose orientation on how to be a family.

I'd say to you Sona that if you want to preserve your sanity, let them screw up their life. But if you want to help Neha, carry on with the task you have undertaken.

However, only stupid people work without any reward.

If you are undertaking this task and should you succeed in proving that you indeed know Neha more than Ishwari and Dev, make sure the entire family realize that without you, Neha would be unhappy forever. So from then onwards, they can't play our family and you outsider anymore nor can they ask you to mind your business.

If Dev is included in any decision, discussion or anything concerning him, his life, his family or his work, then you have to be included in all those times because you are his wife.

Next time, don't settle for less than your due. If you succeed then you will have your example of past to use in the future. All the best to you, you Royal Bengal Tigress!!!

P.S. The last scene between Dev and Sona, according to me, was the saving grace and mood lifter of the episode.

Nice post. Totally agree with you.

Ranveer should not have behaved with Sona the way he did. Anyways, I liked the way Dev defended his wife and understood sona in last scene.

Very well written... Well eventually I guess it's going to be Sona who's going to unite RV and Neha..Now what I am eagerly waiting for is how Ishwari would react to it.. Whether she would be happy or insecure since Sona did something she couldn't do..

As for Neha, every time I see this track, I always have one and only one thought...Ishwari Dev and Neha knew she will have difficulties in RV's home..But they still went ahead with marriage...I know RV mother operation may have coke unexpected...but that's life...you can't expect everything to go smooth..If not operation, something else would have come which would put RV in a fix..Neha should have thought abt it..She was taking a decision of marriage, not some exam preparation where she would assume only certain questions would appear.

Yes, I liked how Dev stood up for his wife too. Like I said, the last scene saved the episode for me. I like scenes where a couple actually shares their thoughts, fear, feelings etc. with each other and make them happy with funny faces and teasing more intimate and proof of solid bonding then actual romance (although that scene was great too).

Was expecting a lot of negativity so happily skipped the episode. See, letting your wife get humiliated where it matters and them coochie cooing in private doesn't impress me and I was expecting something on those lines only. Further all those humiliation scenes strike a personal chord with me and so I avoid them.
But basis your analysis it seems Dev behaved like a man. But I am not convinced with Sonakshi' s Neha mission. One should never help those who are thankless and dissatisfied by nature. Even if you get them the moon they will compliment it is not a full moon or not sparkling white. If you cut your arm for them they will complain you didn't cut your head.

The Dixits are like that only. The only thing they know is how to crib, complain and blame. I have never heard them thank God for the good times now, they keep on crying for what they suffered in the past.

Today if Sonakshi manages a patch up and tomorrow another set of problems emerge (which is bound to happen courtesy their nature) the Dixits will again blame Sonakshi for not letting Neha get happily divorced and re-married.

In life at times instead of doing what is right a person should do what is prudent. If God also believes in helping only those who help themselves, why is Sona trying to be an exception.

I blame Ishwari for that as well. She herself is so money obsessed, then why did she convince Neha to marry a poor man? Now she wants Neha to make her own decision. Why didn't she think then that Neha should make her own decision to marry Ranveer despite his financial condition or not? Why didn't she stay out of the decision then?

Even Dev was doubtful about that alliance. But Ishwari convinced him and Neha. Now she is claiming that she gives a damn about her children's wish.

Ishwari changes her tune to justify her mistakes every single time.

nice post! I said a few of same things in other posts.
I was frustrated too after reading LIVE update. but couldn't keep myself from watching.. so I did. Today, officially...Sona frustrated me. Let the Dixits screw themselves... they deserve it. But, her love for Dev and goodness of her soul makes her take actions that Ishwari and Dev should be taking. Anyone who loves anyone.. be it friend or family will do what Sona is doing. That's what normal families and friends do when a couple is breaking. Neha and RV are angry, hurt and thinking thru their ego.. which is alll normal when couples fight. and that's when friends and family come in the picture to get the two parties to come together and talk. Myself and my husband have been involved in getting a few of our friends together like this. It was a challenge but we did it cause we cared about them... That's exacly what Sonakshi is doing. but she is meeting with resistance from people who should be doing exactly this. But those two self absorbed, egotistical Dixits (Ishwari & Dev) are busy preserving their "we are Dixits" status and "We are right and enuff for each other" belief. Dixits don't like when things don't go their way... We have seen many instances of this in the past.

Ishwari really is the worse kind of parent. and sona is right... Dev better take parenting classes from Bijoy (with the xption of how he taunts Saurabh. but stands by him in time of need too)

As for Dev standing up for Sonakshi.. he only did that when RV called her "bevakoof". Dev didn't say a word when ishwari or mamiji, as always, made her the scapegoat😡 that's my issue with him!

EDITED..GKB called her bichu and das liya.. Did he say a word? Ishwari maaroed taunts about not listening to her husband and all.. Did he say a word? Just like Dev, Sonakshi does what she wants to...and he knows that. Why he never said... all of us are at fault. Not jsut Sonakshi. Her heart is pure.

What about Dev going to RV's office and threatening him. Why no one said a word to him about escalating RV's anger? Why only Sonakshi?

Yes, the scene between Devakshi was the saving grace of the episode for me. Hope they continue to support and understand each other. Kudos to Sona for calling out Dev's dysfunctional family out too. And Dev didn't disagree👏⭐️

Above point is so true, about Ishwari, really can't understand these two points.
1. What stopped her from loving, caring her kids equally, even after financial stability achieved??
2. The way of upbringing her kids, instead of showing them right and wrong, she just want to please them to satisfy her guilt.

Payal, as you know, Dev always stands up for Sonakshi in front of outsiders be is Sona's boss, neighbourhood aunty or another outsider like Sona, Ranveer. He never stands up for Sona in front of his "inner family" circle.

So Dev did stand up for Sona. Thankfully he didn't blast Sona for not following his advice (that would have designated him a blasting paragraph in my post as well).

But today he was good. He might have screwed up with Ranveer but today he didn't screw up.

Today the irritating factor was Ishwari and Ranveer. I don't count Radha as a human being and I don't waste my time with barking dogs.

Sona, if she was intelligent, would indeed mind her own business. But then Ishwari gotts stop whining in front of her. Sona, like Dev, has always been the problem solver of their family.

If you constantly whine and cry in front of them, they are by nature compelled to fix it. You can't share your business with them and tell them to mind their own. That's unfair.

Ishwari does exactly that. It's almost as if she wants to perform Rudali and needs audience who should just clap and cheer after performance but won't try to eliminate the cause. That's emotional and mental torture.

When did Ishwari and Radha ever saw Dev's fault that you are expecting them to see it today?

Ishwari never asked Dev why he went to talk to Ranveer but instead threatened him with lawyer.

Specially since Ranveer is still married to Neha.

But nope, like you said, Dixits can't do no wrong.

Dev keeps saying that she doesn't have to do anything to be part of his family. But the truth is that she can't do anything that will make her part of their family.

Like I said, a smart women would have quit bothering with that family. But since their daily drama is impacting her life, she can't just ignore them. She is trapped as neatly as Dev claimed Ranveer trapped Neha.

Ranveer is just like Dev believe it or not. Neha actually got her wish to marry someone like Dev. The only difference between them is money and a supportive family. Dev got the former, Ranveer got the later.
