I watched the hug scene again n again just to see if I am missing something. Dev was absentminded during the whole conversation and hug because his mind was preoccupied with their fight and stubbornly angry at his wife's non relenting attitude. 😆 Ishwari was aware of the tension between them since it was really palpable but she didn't initiate the hug intentionally to hurt Sona or make a point to her. Even if the intent was not conscious the outcome was the same. Sona was left on the sideline as an observer to watch and understand their dynamics. Unless Dev n Sona initiates PDA in front of Ishwari she will not do anything to sabotage or interfere in it. The precap would be the best example. 😆

Even though I didn't watch the episode at the telecast time,I did end up watching the scenes of Sona,Dev and Ishwari later on.I agree with your interpretation of the hug scene.Usually,when Ishwari intends to prove a point,an air of arrogance can be seen in her expressions or in her gait.Even if she acts sweet,a difference can be observed in those scenes which was missing yesterday.I think she was just happy knowing that her position and importance in Dev's life is secure as he changed his decision.Dev was too busy being angry/sulking to fully reciprocate the hug or think anything else.But yes, as a result Sona was left on the sideline watching them.

Dev one could see his concentration was on his wife they have not patched up yet and looking at her all frustrated like trying to say this should be you hugging me but yes for him hugging his mom its just a son showing his affection towards his mother but hell Ishwari gave off a totally different aura as if sending a message to Sona i'm only allowed to touch Dev I didn't really like that

I hug my mum and Daadima all the time but never felt at anytime the hug was to prove something to someone or to make someone jealous
