Glad to see you back with your as usual amazing analysis Sam. Its true that every one of us look in to this show with our own pov's. I like this show because its not a fairy tale of perfect people or mahan characters. I like it because its about imperfect people, flawed characters and their mistakes and learnings, just like you and me. Most importantly its about their wonderful journey towards building a beautiful relationship. Keep writing often Sam.😊

Thanks, it's great to see your reply as well! 😃 As usual, I completely agree with the lens through which you are viewing the show. I feel the same way. As much as I love fairytales, this show gives me just a little bit more through the complexity of all the characters and their layered nature providing plenty of material for endless discussion!

Looney and sam - I am new... love your posts.. and I agree...
I hope this show turns the style of Indian soaps.. I love how they show the inner conflicts. Loved it how Sona and dev fought - this is so real. Sona might need to mellow down to allow herself to sort this 'mess-dixits' she has gotten herself into...

Thank you for your response😊 .. No you are never contrary, its just that you know how to hit the bull's eye when we all miss the target by miles😉😆

I did read your post earlier but I will take this line for my sanity now

"while I do not condone her deception at all, her motivations are well within character. "

yes it will be very hard for me to see my favorite character go so low in the way of deception to get what she wanted, but I will take her insecurity and deep scar from the past is much bigger than we all can understand . Hope we get to see much stronger scenes from her hidden past justifying this !!

Thanks again dear..You bring much sense to this forum😳

Ah the pre-nup. I see nothing wrong with it. For Dev and sona to not want to sign it is well with character. But for Ishwari to want it, it totally expected. Her ways were wrong and i love it how they show her desperation

Aw, thanks so much! I love reading your replies as well, and always wait to see them! 🤗

You know? I think Ishwari really loves Sona when she isn't thinking too much about it! 😆 And why not? Sona is so similar to Ishwari herself in so many ways. They share the same integrity, tenacity, and a natural wisdom and intuition. It's when Ishwari thinks about the abstract concept of Dev's wife, of someone having that importance for Dev, that she automatically goes on the defensive and starts to have antagonistic feelings towards Sona. She was going to feel this way about any woman in Dev's life and the way I see it, it is the best case scenario that that space has been occupied by someone Ishwari happens to love, when she is not wound up in her possessiveness for Dev. That love she has for Sona herself will eventually help soften the fear of her being Dev's wife brings.

I hope that made sense!

Sorry for the late reply !!! Yes you make sense. But I agree and disagree . I completely agree to the part that , she goes to defensive mood only with the abstract idea of DEV'S WIFE . We could clearly see it in yesterdays episode where she was her usual self when she was doing the muhdikhayi , but if you watch closely there was a moment of discomfort shown in the flick of a second while Dev was proudly raining praises at his wife in front of her guests !!! I also agree to the part that she would be feeling the same with any woman in his life .

But I disagree that its best case scenario that Sona happens to be that woman !!! In my opinion that's the worst case at least for now . The situation leading upto the revelation of Dev-Sona relationship to Ishwari had the worst impact on her . No wonder she saw her as threat to her , as for the first time she was witnessing someone else other than her convincing Dev , let alone changing his 18 year old beliefs . As a person who is not very lenient to accommodate new changes , she was seeing how much Sona's presence in his life was changing his choices . Of course it was foolish to think his new choice of colors or bed sheets gives any indication to his changed priority in terms of relations . As per my understanding of the character her worst fear is losing her place in her son's life and she was feeling like he was slipping away ... But when the relationship broke , she was relieved that all these qualms were only in her head , convinced herself it was indeed a weak relation which was meant to be broken , until she saw a never seen before avatar of Dev - drunken , broken , pleading in front of his love ... She could not even meet his eyes when he was questioning her in that pathetic state ... As much as she wanted him to be happy again , and didnt want to be held responsible for being the reason for their break-up , she is very much aware of the depth of his love now . I dont know how its gonna favor Sona , IMO it would only add fuel to the fire and make her insecurities resurface faster ... The makers might have added infertility track for this purpose , we all know Dev would be giving his unwavering support to Sona in this matter ...

But the fact that she likes and respect Sona as an individual may help in the long run , which would contribute to a beautiful MIL-DIL bonding . But we may have to wait longer for that till Ishwari overcomes her insecurities !!!

PS: Have you watched Fawad Khan's Humsafar ? Some times Ishwari shows the shades of Fareeda , Ashar's mom which scares me and I really really hope CVs wont go in that route !!!

Answering to PS: comparison to humsafar and Fareeda. I think humsafar was way too simplistic versus the layered characters and theme if krpkab. Fareeda was an out-and-out negative character and was plotting to throw out khirad.. Ishwari is not evil, but badly marred with insecurities and that makes her borderline wicked. I don't think the show is going that route, however it is no longer the unique show now that we signed up for, unfortunately.

Yes , the characterization of Ishwari is way more complex, and better . I was cynical to Fareeda's changes after marriage and later on it was revealed I was right. I can put up with grey shades but not plotting , I also sincerely wish , it wont go in that route !!!
