Yup...I totally agree. This is not reality at all. I mean there might be awkwardness but this things are way beyond to reality.
N for God sakes these people are well educated n well settled. They could see things from others perspective too.

I am loosing all my hope about this Show.

True...but that poor girl is in too much of shock , these grounds are new for her...and first time too. She thinks Dev will support her...reality is slowly pitching in ...he is just the same...nothing has changed...he is some one who could be said " Man of his words " at least till now...😆

PS : for 2 mins of DevAskhi scene I am not going to watch 20 mins of nonsense. I did rather read the review and watch that 2 mins scene on line...

Seriously the only part of today's episode worth watching was last few minutes when Sona confronted Dev. He still doesn't understand the gravity of the situation. Why didnt he admit it infront of everyone that he took the decision to have non-veg food and Sona's family wanted to have pure veg menu. Glad Sona openly told him everything, hoping that he realises his mistakes and take some action. It is his responsibility that his family respects his wife.

Lucky u dear.. Nothing else to say
For those who end up being victims ..this is that reality..
My experience from Brahmins even as friends n their families were so humiliating..
I can't forget after several years..

Dev is urban connected.. So also Riya n nikki
But the rest like bua dadi,Ishwari n GKB - their world is this Pooja patt n insane idiotic ladies who are jobless m idle minded ready for devil workshop !!

My concern is the way CV team treated the inter caste marraige, it could have been done beautifully with out ill treating any community caste of custom. This a story of a new age India...and the way Dhadhi bua was shouting at Sona...god !! I felt its no close to reality ...definitely not something that we would want to see in an urban India.

I couldnt understand the silence of those three sisters. These are not school going kids. They are adults and they do have right to voice their opinion when something is not rt at their home...at least stage a walk out saying that you ppl are being crude and rude to their SIL ...

PS : Cant say much on any character , because these are created by the CV team. Dev we all know he likes to play behind the door policy with Sona. She always falls for his tender talks...she gave in early...she should have waited for him to try and get her back. Not his mother...😡

i agree if my parents or siblings behave like this then i would confront them or at least tell them whatever they r doing is not right.

Exactly the point . CVs dont have the guts to show that reality and shift in attitude of Indian women...they are scared hence showed 3 timid girls...2 of them educated silently watching another girl , their own brothers wife being humiliated!!😡

I have seen really really really less of this show...but from whatever I have seen I have concluded that its claims of realism and/or subtlety are just big fat lies...and to me there is nothing more off putting than pretentiousness...I would rather watch an ott/unrealistic show which does not try to make false claims.

Bang on ! This is my MAIN objection ever since the show started on showing more drama than reality !

Had this been of a back-drop of rural village, not much of a problem. But hows this different than the Star Plus Gopi Bahu nonsense ?? I fail to understand this whole concept of having a village dadi in Delhi and trying to ruin all the marriage rituals with her ugliness 🤢. For people like Dadi-bua, the place is Haridwar or Banaras, not a shaadi-function of upper and upper-middle class educated family. 🤔 And in reality, guests who have such sharp tongue, are not introduced everywhere in the wedding. Generally a bride's initial memories are good at in-laws place specially if it's a love marriage. Yes, taunts are there, but not this loud. Who keeps repeating again and again that it's due to the 'zid' of her son, that she had to say yes to everything ?

There is always a try from the inlaws to welcome the newly wedded DIL with love, it might fail sometimes, but the 'try' is there. In Dixits I dont even see the try. What CV is showing in the name of reality is BULLSHIT DRAMA. 🤢 And the sad part is, instead of correcting her or shuting her up, Mamaji is coming up with meddling ways. Only Mamaji's role can be called as reality, but honestly if it's drama from Dadi Bua's side which is SO negative, then I want some higher voltage drama from Dev's side by throwing Dadi Bua out of the Dixit Mansion 😡 CV is making me watch all the negative krap in the name of reality. Why not show some positive stuff which I know would be out of sync. 🤔

So many years of India's fight against this cast system , post independence got it abolished ...but what is the use ...they still show it as the highlight of the show that promised modern day realism in India !!😡

Kprkabmeg
Thanks for sharing your beautiful positive story it warms the heart.
TM this is the reality that exists but the creatives just want to show negativity in the form of so called reality

This show was never like this ...now its turned out to be just like any unrealistic sas bahu show...I am proud to say, the part of India that I come from dont get to see these kinds of dramas in our houses..especially belittling your own daughter in law in front of outsiders. And men are not mute spectators when they see their family member humiliating their wife. They will give it back then and there itself...they wont care who it is. ( Again for that the credit goes to the mothers to bring up their son's with such strong ideologies in life ) They will see to that their wife is respected by every one no matter what. And they dont take their wife to places or houses or their relatives where she is not accepted!!

Mom in law might be possessive about their sons but in most cases they will not tolerate their daughter in law getting humiliated by others...because every intelligent lady knows humiliating your daughter in laws is no different from humiliating her son and his entire family!!

CVs have bought Ishwari and Dev to such a low level ...I am not sure how they are going to redeem these characters
