I watched the episode finally !
Few observations :1. Doctor blurts out the truth to Dev after knowing that he is Sonakshi's would be husband, not yet a husband.. Which dumb doctor will not know that how big issue this can be for the groom's family or the groom, that there are cases where marriages break off just because of this, and here they are not even married ! These lawyer, doctor all seem worthless to me.2. Although I hated Ishwari's hyper-ventilating complaints to God, I could relate to her objection. When Athiests and Non-vegeterians have this understanding and patience to co-exist with the Believers and the vegeterians, the opposite doesn't happen so easily. Sadly this is not just limited to India, it happens everywhere in the world. People who like to follow 'rules' without having them validated, tend to become more rigid and much less flexible because they quite blindly believe those 'rules', be it cultural or spiritual. Myself being both an athiest and non-religious Bong, can safely say that I encountered multiple issues where people could stoop down to the level of insulting your the very existence followed by a long lecture on how sinful my acts are 😃. I believe in my rationality and it tells me to ignore them and move on be happy 🥳. But Ishwari is not different. People even move away from the seat if you bring a nov-veg item to the table. I don't think it's about them being animal lover, more to do with what they are taught as throughout their lives and not questioning anything whichever comes their way.3. Dadi-bua is a disturbing addition 😵. Like Ishwari, I have personally encountered such aged people (and sadly from my inlaws side) in my life, for whom the whole house is made upside down - starts right from not wearing jeans/western outfits in fronta them, to eating silently not making much noise etc. 😳 And it's not just limited to the Bahu's of her house, everyone starting from her own children to grandchildren, these rules are applied. Thankfully, with the help of my immediate inlaws (Husband, MIL, FIL and SIL and even Mama-in-law) I am able to convey my point to the old lady that it's good she sticks to her belief, but world has moved 60 yrs since the time she was young 😃 and I can't follow such rules always because it impacts me a lot 😊 And thankfully again, no one pokes me much by now 😃 But sometimes we do discuss amongst ourselves, that why do we need to mould ourselves into her way rather than trying to amend her way and making her show the real world. Why is it so necessary to protect her 50-yr old values rather than just TRYING to convince her about the changes ? People think they would be hurt etc, but why such assumption ? Unless we point out a particular problem to a person, how would he/she know where he's wrong ? I felt for Ishwari and GKB's concern because people like Dadi-bua are so used to having everyone dance on their tunes, that anything go slightly out-of-track and bamm, a scene will be created. Only we are responsible for such annoying dadi-bua's in our lives to provide them with so much of power to insult people.4. Precap - OMG ! I am not sure if Dev will be able to tell this to Ishwari at all or not, but the thought that he wanted to itself is disturbing 😲 This is such a private and personal issue for a woman. Not just a woman, in a country like us, all your life-work is measured by the ability of being fertile. 🤔 In movie Tanu Weds Manu Returns there is such DAMN bang-on dialog 'Hamare desh mein mardaangi sperm count se naapa jata hai'. Isn't it same for a woman too Who goes blurts out such things to his mom. What's this nonsense ? Now I have REAL doubt on Dev's being such successful businessman with ZERO knowledge of the real world. And this came as no surprise to me that he is ready to share everything with his mommy. No wonder I don't want this marriage to happen now. Strictly against Child Marriage 👎🏼5. Ishwari's spending 15L for Sona and preparing something in the box for Dev's kid - Really are you freaking kidding me woman ? 🤢 As long as Sona and her kids are for your serving, she is spending Lakhs on them, but as soon as they are out of her son's life, absolutely no concern for them. And this same woman keeps talking about how she also has a rishta with Sona time and again 😲🤓 Such a bloody hypocrite she is. But sadly when Dev will come to know about your pre-nup incident, these petty excuses of being so dildaar for would be DIL would go to drain 🐷 Sorry but day by day she is becoming more loathe-worthy. 👎🏼 That 'sone ki jari' pissed me off to death. Such show-off creep 😡That's all. My precious 2 cents 😆. Will be back from gym asap !
