Wait..Till a few episodes back, Ishwari was so averse to the idea of Dev getting married to anyone..Right from the first week of this show, if there is one thing the writers have wanted to establish, it is the fact that she is that rare mom who is extremely uncomfortable with the idea of her son ever getting married..And now they are telling me she got stuff for his kids? Really? Just so you can randomly insert this infertility track and make Ishwari obsess over grand kids just because she probably can't have them now?😆 And am pretty sure the precap is a red herring..The writers just want drama..Dev will fumble, fiddle, obsess and realize he can't afford to have his mom reject Sona again so he'l decide to keep it a secret from everyone involved 😆 If all these issues ain't enough, we also have a buaji who is apparently very terrorizing and even Ishwari is scared of her..How convenient though..The writers can insert their pathetic saas bahu drama, Sona can prove to be the ideal bahu and Ishwari can act like she has no other choice but put up with all this 😆
P.S. Are all these characters blind? Neha looked depressed in every scene and not one person seemed to care..Its very similar to the break up track where Dev was depressed and no one batted an eye lid..That girl looks like she'l cry any moment and no one really seems to care/even ask if she is happy with her husband 😆

No one noticed Neha, not even her mother. This is the mother who is constantly staring at her son's face to check the level of his happiness. Yet she claims she wants to give her children equal love. I can't even... 🤢

Great post!

I hoping Dev does'nt tell Ishwari anything ..please Dev this is very personal and confidential! This is Sona and their desicion to take after marriage in the first place! Infact Ishwari need not know the details at all! The couple can very well filter and say what and how they wish!

Ishwari is great I tell you.. She prays and asks for forgiveness for non-veg food, and yet commits a crime by deceiving her own son!

Wondering what if Dev eats non-veg as a shajun on his wedding.. What will happen to Dixit family

Thank you for your opinion. Yes, I know that vegetarianism is a big issue for pure vegetarians. But Dev is so rich he could hire a hotel with two rooms - one serving non-veg and one serving veg. Lots of hotels have both. Why not a wedding? Wouldn't that be a better solution instead of all this drama in front of people as if someone is stuffing non-vegetarian food in their mouth?

See yes their are solutions..and they will find out..precisely Dev will find out hopefully or mamaji will..nd when did they create drama I mean apne ghar mein hi toh discuss kar rahe the..amongst family members :) see ek batati hoon elders bohot offensive hotey hain regarding veg nonveg ..like i cant tell u how much i see it all the time coz their thinking isnt modern enough to adapt the change nd you have to respect them so one does panicks..and also mami tph hai hi drama but mama is smart one woh handle kar saktey hain

Not to mention the name calling was totally offensive. you mean mami ??

Yes, Ishwari is hopeless. I was stunned too when she was asking for forgiveness for food which she is not even eating, but not the fraud she knowingly committed.

hypocracy at its best..agar mamaji maafi maang rahe hotey I would have still understood but Ish has already stooped so low that coming back from their even after saying bhagwaan ji sorry a million times is not going to do anything..karmo ki saza milegi

Regarding the medical issue, my issue with Dev is that it's not HIS news to share. It's Sona's. Sona is not the kind of person who lies to people. She would have said the news herself. He again is not giving her a choice. That's my problem with him today.

They are not going to hide the news forever, they can't anyway. But why is it Ishwari's business how their child is going to be conceived and carried to term?

Usko aam khane se matlab hai ya gutli ginne se?

What I am understanding from your anger is that why Ishwari needs to interfare
but see practically aisa nahi hota na..Ishwari is her mothr too (Mothr in law by relation )..and she should know if their is any problem with Sona and also Sona is part of that house she is part of Devs life also see kal ko if dev faces some problem shouldn't he consult it with asha and bijoy..he is like son in that house ..he doesnt have right to talk to them directly ?..and here may b sona will not be very comfortable talking about such thing to ishwari directly nd dev is the next best person to talk to her.

DESCLAIMER- let me clarify i am not supporting Ish in any manner I absolutely dont like Ish and dont want her to know because she is what she is ..we know..dont we 😆

Neha, Nikki and Ria are pretty much non-existent. Unka kuch ho ya na ho kisi koi fark nahi padta aur na unhe padta hai. 😆
We should just probably get used to having them around at the happiest and the saddest of occasions, they'll come mark their presence and be off. I was surprised by the lack of support Dev had during his break-up phase. 😳 Not one person except Mamaji bothered to look out for Dev. Not Neha, not Nikki, Not Ria.

Its all...

I think Ishwari knows there is some issue..Remember her reaction when Neha said she should have listened to them and not married Ranveer (not sure where that came from cos it was Ishwari who pushed her into the marriage😆)? She probably knows that confronting Neha will only result in her confessing all her troubles which means she has to offer a solution- that is divorce or let her stay with her for a while..Either of which is not plausible for her 😆 So better to act like you din't notice..Best solution..Like she put up a front that she has no idea about Dev-Sona despite being 100% sure that something is going on 😆 The whole family apart from her is dumb and delusional though..This woman is smart and just turns a blind eye whenever its convenient (the present version atleast cos the earlier version of Ishwari was complex yet you could get yourself to feel bad for her at some point😆 )

It's okay if people don't want to eat meat for whatever reasons, but to look down upon meat eaters is wrong. Nobody can completely avoid violence against other living things, but the idea of reducing it as much as possible appeals to me too. I am not a vegetarian, but I eat meat only on Sundays. My husband and kids eat meat more often than me and we all eat eggs almost everyday. I buy cosmetics that are not tested on animals, but I understand that medicines have to be tested on animals before they are released into the market. I buy organic food as much as possible because I can afford it and grow some veggies in my own garden to make a small difference in the environment from my side. But I understand that it is not possible for everyone for various reasons. I don't sacrifice animals to propitiate Gods. The point I am trying to make is that there are a lot of ways to show that one is compassionate towards other living beings and being a Brahmin/vegetarian/vegan is not a very significant way. So it's impossible to be "understanding" towards people who act like they are better than others just because they are born into a certain caste. One can either pity their stupidity or loathe their crassness.
Coming to the story, I wanted Dev and Sona as a team to learn how to deal with Eeshwari and her mental issues after marriage, but now I feel that Eeshwari will deal with them however she wants to, because she is an elderly woman, that too a mother/MIL, who must be respected as per Indian tradition.

So Dev and Sona will no more be leads from now. They will be puppets and Eeshwari will be the master puppeteer, who is going to play them as she wishes. Dev signed the papers like Eeshwari wanted. Dev tells Eeshwari about Sona's medical problems. Sona will sign the prenup and even get out of Dev's life because of Eeshwari's emotional blackmail. Everyone will dance to Eeshwari's tunes.

After a lot of playing with others' lives, she will suddenly realize that she is playing the wrong game and she will put their lives together again. Since it's just child's play(or mother's play), nobody will bother much and will be grateful to Eeshwari for fixing their lives again. Eeshwari Bhagwan zindabad.

Where was Eeshwari's love for her girls all this time? She is suddenly so loving towards Neha and co!

About non veg food, yes Brahmans usually don't want non veg in their marriage and even they don't want to eat with people who usually eat non veg...that's why ishwari doesn't want non veg food...and it's common in Brahmans family and CVS only want to show common issue which usually happens when their child marry with different cultures...so I can't blame ishwari for that reason.
And about dev ,just wait for Monday episode, don't judge anything by seeing only precap

I'll have to agree here, partly at least. I think what sjain here is trying to say here (keeping the entire Indian families scenario in mind) that a news something as huge and pivotal as this doesn't only concern the couple but their families too. Like they say, 'shaadi sirf do log ka nahi do pariwaron ka bandhan hota hai'. Cliched, I know. But that's not what I mean to imply here.

To me, the main problem here is the approach. The right approach would have been (since Dev already knows) Dev tells Sona, Sona informs her parents, these three decide when, how and whether to tell Ishwari or not (I'm including Dev in the list because he's the best person to determine his family's reaction)

Ethically, Ishwari should know about this development or this can also be considered a form of treachery as you're hiding a crucial information from the prospective mother-in-law/family. Or it will be aapne prenup ke baare mein chupaya, humne infertility ke baare mein, hisaab barabar. Infertility issue here is as good as any other crucial health condition (marriages-kids are a big deal in India, the more clarity the better)

Had this happened after Dev-Sona's marriage then it would have been entirely their decision alone as to when to share, how to share and what to do about it. Its just not channelling the proper way but then again that's because Dev's fears which honestly, are understandable too. a) Because he's already faced rejection from Ishwari once. b) Because Sona would never go ahead with marriage after knowing it (no matter how independent, educated and modern the girl is, a news as this one takes a severe beating to their self-esteem) and even if she does, she'll forever feel guilty and would never be able to stand up to Dixit family members bullshit.

And thus. Phew! 😆
