I don't know..I skipped few episodes and then watched today cos i was curious and so much has changed 🤣 I can already see what the writers are going to do..Pre-nup drama, Sona falling sick drama, Bijoy being bitter drama, Neha's drama, Vicky misbehaving with Elena drama, GKB's constant drama, culture clash drama and god knows what else..The writers are set..Melodrama it is 😆

My point regarding Bijoy was only this.

Is he right to withhold his blessings from Dev? Yes. One Baba doesn't clear his way.

Is he right to ask them to wait for marriage? Yes. Definitely.

If Radha was rude, would he be right to answer with sarcastic and snarky manner? YES, a 100 times YES.

But is he right to insult guests whom his wife invited to HER home? No.

They might be the worst people in the world. But when he agreed to this marriage, that means Sona is getting married to that family.

What would his behaviour get him? At the most, Dixit's will break off the alliance. And the result would be what he can't see - Tears in his child's eyes.

But you know what would be even worse than the marriage not happening?

The marriage happens and they take it out on Sona.

Once the alliance fixed, judge them on their present behaviour. I am not saying that he has to put up with rude behaviour from them even now because they are groom's family. Even if Ishwari is rude, by all means, give them fitting reply.

But this could be a memory for Asha and his mother when their daughter's alliance got finalised, Bijoy ruined their memory with his bitterness and made them feel embarrassed in front of their guests and he had no right to do that.

He doesn't have to believe them wholeheartedly. He can withhold trust and let them win it back. But at the end of the day, it's Sona's choice. Just like Ishwari had to understand that it is Dev's choice that matters.

Regardless of what they think, if Dev and Sona want to be together, they have to be happy for them and pray for the best. After all, what else can they do?

I was looking forward to reading your post and here it is.

I find your disappointments have lowered today..and I hope Bijoy doesn't disappoint any further.

I agree his behaviour was uncalled for to some extent.
But I seriously expected him to behave just the way he did barring those rude statements to Dixits. Yes he was rude. He is not very convinced yet about Dev and Sinakshi but that doesn't mean that he shud have behaved so immaturely. If nothing else, atleast respect people who have cone to your place as guests and have some curtesy.

Secondly, when he knows that the wedding will happen in all probabilities, then he shud have thought to himself that behaving like that now can create some awkwardness later on between him, his family and the dixits. Now that their kids are getting married, it's important to atleast not spoil things further so that tonorrow when your kids get married, the two families can face each other without regretting their prior behaviours.

Other than that part My expectations from him were just the way they showed.
I just made a comment in another post, why I expected him to behave in that manner. Pasting some part of it below.

We have seen Bijoy like that from Initial days. He weighs and segregates everything in life as right or wrong. He gets hyper very easily. And this time, its no other topic but about her daughter, so he's even more hyper.
They showed that small glimpse of day when he had that quarrel with Ishwari, just to show he hasn't forgotten. Others have forgiven and forgotten but he neither forgiven nor forgotten. He's agreed for Dev but he wants his own time to accept him the way she should. We all are different. Some forgive easily just by listening to others words, some take time and notice actions to see if there actual is any change and realisation. He's of the second category.

To me it's important that Bose's forgive the Dixits but it's equally important that they don't forget what they did.

Yes today's epi was much better than yest.

We have been asking about it for so long, that even a small effort by Dev has made us all happy. And Dev's realisation that he might not be the perfect match for Sona ..phew finally something.

So Neha's story has started. I had thought Neha wud help Dev n Sona to manage Ish insecurities but seems Neha wud b busy with her own marital problems. I guess Neha wud not like the fact that Sona wud be getting all the riches n luxuries whereas she herself had to leave everything when she decided to marry Ranveer. I am glad parallel story has started.

Liked Bijoy in few parts - proud father worried for his daughter. He is right after all that has happened both families should not rush into marriage. Ish had questioned abt Sona's character which is something Bijoy can't forget. His anger is justified though he shud atleast try to be civil n dignified and do not stoop low as Ish n GKB. Wonder why Ish insists on taking GKB for marriage discussions knowing very well how she feels abt Sona.

And finally the prenup - Ish is as shrewd as ever. Neha's failing marriage cud make Ish feel that even Dev n Sona love marriage can fail. This prenup track wud b fun to watch.

Loved today's episode and Bijoy was the highlight! I know many will bash him but he is as real as real gets! Any father would react like this. He can see the problems she is likely to face. In the end he wants Sona's happiness so he will do nothing to hinder it but damn right that he gives a mooh todh jawaab to Ishwari!

It's easy to say let's forgive and forget but If ur fingers get burnt once, second time you will be careful! I totally get Bijoy's attitude towards Dev and his family!

Ok, so after reading your post I went back and re-watched the episode to try and understand your perspective. I will say that I understood Bijoy's behavior, he has given his permission for the marriage but he has neither forgiven nor forgotten Dev and Ishwari for questing his daughter's character and causing her immense pain.I didn't agree with his stubbornness to cook non-veg, because that was plain inconsiderate.But then all his other comments, though sarcastic, I could relate to his state of mind and agree with it. Dev has not yet been able to earn back his trust and neither has Ishwari. GKB did indirectly insult them, so he answered back. He could have answered Ishwari's comment on Dev's obedience more tactfully but a reminder of the cause of his daughter's heartbreak takes away his ability to act calmly.And frankly I quite enjoyed his reply to Ishwari.

I also read the second part of your post and was able to better understand your view.If I see it from that angle, then yes, he did insult guests who his wife had herself invited.He could have put his concerns in such a manner where he was able to both put forward his point as well as keep the respect intact.Also considering that they are gonna be a part of his family, a major part of his daughter's family, and his words might cause an air of awkwardness between all the relationships that will be a result of the marriage.He could have simply asked for some time.And yes he did manage to taint an important event for all involved.

So I kind of have mixed feeling where he is concerned at this moment.

All that said, I believe he will see the error of his ways and react suitably given some time.

As for Dev, well he is finally starting to move in the right direction but I am not putting my bets on him till he works some more for it.He will have to put some more efforts to win my trust back as well.
