Today two things happened which highlighted the episode for me. I think this episode is way better than yesterday's episode and CVs showed what I have been repeatedly asking to see. Are you reading my complaints, CVs?

Today Dev took some much needed steps to mend the distance between him and Sona's family.

1. Step No. 1: Every one who knows a Bengali knows that food is the only bribe Bengali family will happily accept.

So in he walks with Bengali's first love - sweets.

2. Step No. 2: Nothing melts a Bengali mother faster than calling her Maa. Although Baba is not cracking.

3. Step No. 3: He realised today that he needs the bond with Sona's family like the kind Sona has with (some members of) his family. Relationship is a two way street. Good job, Dev. Now maintain this awareness and don't go oblivious again.

As I mentioned yesterday, Sona was happier today with Dev's effort and understanding towards her family than his very filmy proposal yesterday. A woman doesn't need ostentatious gestures. She is happy with simple things like love, honour and respect. They don't cost money, that's why they are priceless.

But the major thing was the complete Role Reversal between Ishwari and Bijoy.

She was polite and Bijoy was rude.

I have been defending him and his attitude all this time because he had justified cause.

But today I am disappointed.

Just like Ishwari, after he gave all lecture on parents are happy with their children's happiness bull to Sona, what was the point to be rude to someone who is a guest at your home?

What Ishwari did to Sona, you are doing to them.

Then why pretend to be generous and loving father when you deliberately making sure they turn against your daughter?

You could have held out, asking to wait for marriage is also a valid request.

You didn't need to agree to this marriage. But if you did, a. you should forget the past and treat people according to their current behaviour (by all means, if Radha is rude, give her proper answer) or b. even if you hadn't agreed to the marriage, nothing justifies your rude behaviour with your guests whom your wife invited to HER home. You won't like it if you invited your friends and Asha was rude to them, would you?

Your rude behaviour not only insulted Ishwari and family, but gave ammunition to Radha to taunt Sona and incite Ishwari and also made your wife and mother embarrassed who worked hard to make this day memorable for both families when their girl's wedding is getting finalized.

Bijoy's bitterness also spilling over Saurabh just like Ishwari took it out on Sona and her daughters.

Bijoy, you didn't just fail your daughter today, you failed your son, your wife, your mother and most importantly your dignity as a parent.

Precap: Ripples of Bijoy's bitterness and Ishwari's meddling might just create a chasm between the two lovers again.

It seems to me Bijoy wants to control Dev and Sona's marriage and Ishwari wants to control their divorce. Sometimes I think that they think they are getting married.

The only saving grace would be if Dev and Sona don't budge from their commitments.

P.S. Prenup is used to protect the respective individual assets in the event of a divorce. Without a prenup, the husband or wife (whoever is wealthier) pays alimony to the other or their combined assets gets equally divided between the husband and wife.

Thank you. Let's hope Dev continues to pay attention to what's going on around him. Lol...

I hope so. But I swear if Dev gives puppy face to his mummy after finding out Sona can't conceive, I will make another scathing post on him and if Sona becomes self-sacrificing tele bahus and leaves Dev for same reason, I will make an equally scathing post on her.

I kind of liked today's episode. I would not compare it with yesterday's episode for the reason that they serve two different purposes. Today's episode was quite engrossing. i too like the fact that Dev is making these small little baby steps towards building the bridge. i think he has begun to realise the value of creating this strong relationship with his In-laws. it was very nice and sweet of him to get those sweets for his would be in-laws..

also liked Sona taking him away from a situation where he was beginning to feel lost.. an indication of the kind of role that Sona will play in his life.

too many hurdles being created.. Bijoy, Ishwari, Neha, GKB... i hope they show a strong relationship between Sona and Dev that transcends these challenges. the last thing i would like to see is another needless rift between these two.

more than the sorry's and new promises, i would like to see them take just one simple promise - to talk with each other everything, not to hide, assume and presume.. they need to be good communicators if their marriage has to be a role model one.

So i skipped a couple of episodes and they have already united 😕😆 Well, i stopped looking for logic ages back and i kinda expected this to happen given how the writers have messed it up so bad and they have this insatiable hunger for mindless drama so i'l let it slide..Two things stood out today..One is Dev's hair 😳 Its been an eye sore for the past so many days and i swear he looks sick..It was okay during the break-up track but now he is supposed to look happy..Unfortunately he looks depressed 😆 Shaheer looks really exhausted too so everything just contributes to his sorry state and i end up feeling bad for him (not the good kinda bad if that makes sense..Its that feeling you get when you see this really battered and tortured soul all thanks to his shabby look right now 😆)..Second, Ishwari should have become a politician..That woman has freaking wasted her talent by obsessing over her son all her life..She is street smart, passive aggressive, manipulative, determined, annoying, deceivingly convincing and has this extremely innocent look to boot..She can convince anyone for anything with her innocent face and manipulative skills..Unfortunately, no one seems to notice her talent going to waste 😆Look at her jumping to get the pre-nup signed..So traditional, so conservative yet she can think of a pre-up even after everything and make sure to secure her son's property..Wow 😆 How is she planning to get Sona's signature anyway? And wont they misunderstand Dev here though he is clueless as always? I hope it doesn't blow up right away cos i just cannot take Dev crying again..Atleast for another 20 episodes..Am so sick and tired of his crying face right now..Kuch bhi dikhao but not that 😆

P.S. The line of the episode was when Ishwari said Dev will anyway listen to her..Bijoy's retort and Ishwari's reaction 🤣 The one thing which really annoyed me though was Bijoy insisting that they cook non-veg..That just came across as petty and silly..The rest of it i could ignore though 😆

Great post but I guess Bijoy is still not convinced about Dev but can't complain Dev has given him many reasons not to I hope Dev gains back his trust 😊

Very well written post Tia.. I am happy Dev is taking baby steps to correct his mistakes ... And so glad he took sweets not some expensive intimidating gifts to win over his in-laws ... Old Dev would have definitely done that ... 😉
I knew Bejoy came upon as very rude , but I feel he was being protective of his daughters happiness ... He also got some selective amnesia where he is only remembering Ishwari's rude words ... But we cant blame him , he is trying his best to test whether they are ready to accept Sona as she is ... After all she is his princess ... But demanding to cook fish while some vegetarians are visiting was a bit overboard for me ...
