Before Ritwik's character was introduced, even then what ever Dev did the forum folks went gaga over it. I used to search any sensible thread to comment on. There would be rarely 1 or 2 threads going against Dev but those never received enough response. Its only after the break up and Ritwik's entry I see some solid content worth spending time commenting.
During the Romance phase - the only time folks felt Dev was doing too much romance, questioned it.
Just because the story revolves around Dev and the ML is apparently hot, does not mean he can do whatever he wants. Ritwik is handsome too! What IF Dev and Ritwik both are MLs ? then what ?
Show mein bhi hypocrisy, forum mein bhi!
Seeing beyond the texture of a "ML", "Handsome" actor, is essential which the forum lacks. One tear or sad face Dev makes the forum melts, just how Sonakshi melts. Life does not work like that.
If we can all see beyond Ishwari, GKB why not Dev and Sonakshi ?
Somewhere in all this Sonakshi being weak is giving Dev leeway to do what he wants to do. Since Sonakshi has hope that Dev will marry her, she is letting her self respect down the drain. The CV's are making Devrath and Sonakshi weak portrayals. Promos mein kuch Show min kuch.

And here ritik had ample reasons to go and talk to Dev! It's another matter that Dev was innocent in this whole fiasco. I loved watching the show but I think I am going to grow some gray hair before Dev decides to confront his mother or get mad at her for once for all the injustice meted out to Sona and him in the name of his mother's unique Louuu😭
