Great post and it's so nice to see so many people feel the same way. While this is a love story I feel sometimes people forget that these characters aren't meant to be perfect. Dev IS wrong a lot of the time, he's got a lot of growing up to do. Part of this is the way he was brought up - contrast that to Ritwick's upbringing. My mom and I have talked about it - logically when you consider the families and their schools of thought and the way Ritwick is with Sona's family - if in real like I had these two choices in front of me my brain would say Ritwick is clearly the better choice.

A lot of people miss the point sometimes and don't see the whole story. Dev and Sonakshi will end up together but it's about the journey. I like that they're trying to show growth in character. I saw growth in Dev in the time he was with Sona. I'm SO happy the dialogue called him out for being a psycho stalker, I'm so happy that they repeated on the show that THIS is not acceptable behaviour and I'm even more glad that Sona isn't going to bend to his whim because he decides that him and his mom are on the same page and she can be in his life again.

The biggest thing people don't understand about Ritwick and is SO important is that he sees Sonakshi as her own person capable of making decisions for herself - HE doesn't assess the situation and decide HE knows what's best for HER! So for people calling him dumb for not realizing that Sona is not over Dev and that Dev and Sonakshi belong together - again missing the point. Sona - as a fully functioning adult is capable of making her own decisions. If she tells him that she wants to move on and she wants his help to do that then he's going to trust that that's what she wants. I don't know why people think it's okay for a man to be like "Nope, you're saying one thing but I being a man know better than you you silly woman who can't make up her mind and doesn't know what she wants". Ritwick is respecting Sona's decisions. And I mean seeing the way Dev's been acting - psycho stalker (in their own words) - I wouldn't blame her for wanting to move on to be in a HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP.

That's always the scary thing for me - when girls and women look at behaviour like Dev's recently and try to justify it and excuse it because he's hurt or he's in love. There are no excuses, there are reasons why he is acting like this (going back to his own experiences) but there are no excuses. You own up to your shortcomings, your mistakes, your bad decisions, and you learn and you grow from them. You don't not make excuses because then you think the way your acting is perfectly normal. I'm not saying that in a show he can't be redeemed but he needs to work for it and he needs to own up to his crap and actually make changes in your own behaviour.

This ended up being a long rant. I hope it made sense. I stopped reading somewhere hallway through this thread. Going back to lurking and reading the rest of this thread now. Thanks!

This happens in every forum when it comes to the lead, in IPKKND Khushi's character got a free pass when she did obnoxious things with the ML. Forcing her opinion and thoughts on the ML.
I have officially quit watching this show as I do not like both the leads, Sona is fast going on my not liking list after what she did in Maha episode.

You just can not justify what ever the ML did and call Love. What this show is portraying is not love.

At least in some Pakistani shows, all of this not justified and every character in the end gets their due.

Self respect is what Kiran showed in the show called "Kankar", when she slapped the ML for his disgusting behaviour. Usually I am against slapping but oh boy did that ML deserved what was coming to him.

This is the SADDEST thing I observed about the show! Just as Ishwari has double standards even Dev has and both of them either intentionally realize it and cover up or are really not aware of their own actions.
