Seeing how this show an EDKV have similar tracks, would not put a marriage of convenience sort of situation past these makers just to extend the romance. It may be too early for that on this show but at some point...

@ARCH and @bookworm - Couldn't agree more. I hope all this promotion and hype about the Deewangi actually yields some results. The makers seem to enjoy glorifying suicidal tendencies. If Dev tries to kill himself publicly, which, like ARCH pointed out, is very likely, how is that different from Devdas?! Devdas did the exact same thing right? Took his last breath at his lover's doorstep? Then how is Devdas toh bohot dekhe but Dev dixit nahi different😕

Maybe the fact that he congratulates her before pulling a stunt is different!

Can I just wonder first - How does Dev know Devdas so well now? Thanks to Google???

This guy didn't know DDLJ was a romantic movie or what that pose in Titanic was till a short while back... He has not just turned 360 degrees but transformed upside down... Wait! after falling in love with Ms. Bose, he not just hummed Bengali songs but read Bengali classics too...

Ah! love does that to people, right 😃

As for suicides - am thinking back in time to when I made a post on the responsibility of TV to not take such subjects lightly. But they simply brushed Ishwari's overdose under the melodrama carpet...

Now, I have a strong feeling our new Devdas might do something similar...

Forget responsibility, let's go with drama all the way!

Well, Devdas let his Paro marry...this Devdas is hoping to die much earlier 😃

I did feel that both KRPKAB & EDKV copy from each other shamelessly. Same tracks in both at the same time... looks like a Sony mandate...

OK. Am just making all guesses before the much awaited Monday episode but can't help it. Their high voltage drama has triggered my filmy brain cells.

On a positive note, am sure the actors are enjoying the array of emotions they are getting to play...

@ BOLD - I don't know. In interviews I do not find Shaheer as positive about the show as he used to be earlier. Earlier he always emphasized on the realistic flavour of the show, not so anymore. Maybe I am reading too much. Erica's part is fine, the OTT is all at his end.

@ Malvika and Arch - On a separate note are you guys able to watch old episodes now? For quite some time now I have 0 interest in them. It feels like a totally different show and the current behaviour of Dev has put me off everything about him in the past.

I don't watch EKDV so don't know about them copying storylines!

Shaheer gives so many contradictory opinions in every interview, I just can't keep track. His hints about the upcoming tracks are almost always misleading. In the recent interview during the date scene he did seem upset. God knows what goes in his mind.

The most frustrating part about watching the old episodes is is hairstyle.It made him look soo handsome. I just hate his hair right now. Why can't he get a haircut?! Maybe they want to show the Devdas look, but he hasnt been trimming his hair ever since the love story started.

Sona's character has changed the least. She is just going through her set of emotions and reactions to Dev's actions but Ishwari & Dev have taken a full turn. It is like both need separate and joint therapy sessions!

There are so many things I had loved about this show and I think that's exactly why we are still holding on to the last thread of hope and don't want to fully trash it yet. They did start right...

What's disappointing most for me is they went back on every single beautiful thing they created. I can't see the confession episode without hearing Sona throw the 'I love you as a Man loves a Woman' in his face during break-up... The going back on every promise has just taken the pleasure out of watching those promises again...

Initially I thought it was deliberate, especially when Sona said the same things to him. I thought it was a part of their storytelling to make us experience the highs of their romance, his promises, the lows of how he broke every single one of them and finally a grand high when he actually makes good on all of them...

I am still waiting for that but with no expectations given how Sonakshi herself seems to have gotten over the disappointment with no blame attached to him.

Oh God! Both the options seem equally horrifying right now😭Becoming worthy of her is probably never gonna happen. I have made peace with that.

If they pull this suicide stunt I don't know how I'll react. Going by the drama they seem to be loving these days I think either of the things can happen.

If he just ends up fainting over there without any reason I'm gonna pass out laughing!

@bold Sorry for butting in on your conversation , but I have already started laughing cos as per segments Dev did just faint🤣He was standing and watching and just fainted and Sona rushes to him. greatest love story ever.

. Better to lower my expectations for Monday episode😔
