There's so much discussion about is Sona being too fast in moving on , shouldn't she be a despo and hanker after Dev even after such a nightmarish insulting break up because after all it was Dev who broke the engagement immediately after realizing he's in love with Sona ?? So I thought I should write a few lines about it and make it a separate post and really, I've no problem being a lone voice .😳
When Sona fell for Dev she did her level best to express and let Dev know that she's in love with her. but Dev was too busy being all over Natasha and business deal and going on dates n getting Comfy with Nuts to even notice that , when even a blind would've picked it up. In fact she invited Dev out so that she can confess her love but Nuts n Mr. Guzral butted in, and as they're the priority because they're high status business people , and not maa-ke-nutritionist-whom-I-can-afford to ignore Dev jumped camp right then n there.
After that soon came Natasha's proposal to Dev , n it was clear by how much close n comfortable Dev was getting with Nuts , with her always being in Dixit mansion n Dev giving attention to her, it was pretty obvious that he was going to say yes , which he, of course , did n pretty quickly too.
What exactly Sona should've done when she knew Dev's soon going to get engaged to Nuts ?? Propose Dev ?? That'd have been such a trashy thing to do n let's not forget , once Dev rejected her, he'd still be his boss n she'd have to work at his house every day for 12 hours and things would've been completely messy. There was no way for her to leave the job to spare awkwardness because Ishwari's health hadn't completely improved at that point n her responsibility wouldn't let her escape.
I completely support her decision to let go , it was the correct thing to do. Any mature sensible selfless girl would just that. It just shows how unconditional and selfless her love was.
In fact the only I didn't like at that point was that she was a bit too lost in her love for Dev and didn't try to move on.
As for now, the situation is completely different . They were in a relationship , one in which only Sona has given her 100 % , she had made an effort to really get Ishwari's approval because it's important for Dev, considered his family her own, though they didn't deserve it, she never even retorted back to RR because Dev would've been offened whereas Dev has done not a damn thing to even acquaint himself with Sona's family. For him they're "tum log.." strangers and he couldn't care any less about their existence or what problem Sona would've to face at home.
It's another thing that Sona's family is unrealistically supportive towards her , especially her father. Had she been my daughter , I'd have strictly forbade her on this relationship given the attitude of Dev n Dixit family.
There's simply no denying that Dev never gave 100 % to their relationship, why'd he after all ?? For him, Sona is probably ranking in the bottom most position of priority list , ranking only above Vicky.
IF Ishwari brings a match for Dev now, Dev won't blink an eye before wearing sehera and marrying that girl, for his God mother's happiness.
In reality , no girl should ever look back to such a guy who has treated her the way Dev has treated Sona. I shook my head so many times when I saw how blind she's turned into Dev's love that she can't see she's just disrespecting herself on a regular basis, no wonder even her amazingly supportive mother was disappointed n sad at how door mat Sona has turned in love , a complete wash out of her personality.
Sona should think 10000 times before going back to Dev and there should be very very strong reasons for it. Dev needs to change so much , with a huge redemption track before he can be worthy of her friendship, let alone love.
So hoping that CVs give us logical reason to enjoy their togetherness and end game when it happens. Not every viewer melts because ML threw and broke a phone or two for the FL , and cried his heart out. Real life is harsh n marriage is so much more than romantic love, it's foundations are trust , respect , n both partners changing for each other n learning to be co-warriors in the battle of life.
Because if "true love" means letting your lover n his family walk all over you n your family, then God save the girls of our country from such true love.

I don't normally write but I really enjoyed your comments.
I totally agree with you, Dev never had to work for Sonakshi's affection or love. After the news had become public about their relationship, he didn't even visit the Bose house to speak to the father etc. All of which is the norm in most relationships.

Dev chooses to unilaterally break the relationship with Sonakshi for his ma-fine that is your prerogative. Why should Sonakshi continue to weep and be dreaming of Dev until he comes to his senses? Dev could have said lets take a break-I need to find out what is going on with my mother and then we can restart the relationship-he not only broke it, he also fired her. I mean---what the hell??? Was Sonakshi professionally mismanaging Ishwari Mental's health? No...her health was doing much better. Does Sonakshi's family depend on her income??? Yes, so Dev firing her without just cause and without any notice is actually unacceptable to me.

After kicking her out of your house, breaking her heart, you have the guts to call her the next day and say thanks for giving the files??? What did you think she was going to say Dev? Thank you for praising my professionalism-and is that why you fired me from my job? If I was Sonakshi-I would have let it rip and torn Dev, his family, his character, his ancestry, and his professionalism to shreds!

Boo hoo Dev-cry a little more, because that won't even come close to what Sonakshi had to go thru for you. Until Dev grows a spine-I am not interested in seeing them together. It looks like this Rithwik will be a good friend and a shoulder for Sonakshi to cry on. Nothing wrong with that. If she does agree to get married to him-nothing wrong with that either. Sonakshi doesn't owe Dev anything because he was and is her first love.

That too in a country that's still full of BS ideas n ideals about how a girl should behave. It's a woman who must change , it's she who must pine, it's she who must adapt after marriage , who must sacrifice her ambitions, dreams n small small wishes whole life so that family n marital life runs smooth , it's she who must wait, it's she who must have all the "faith", "loyalty" , " patience" .
It's a battle for the girl as soon as she's conceived in her mother's womb, battle to live a life as she wishes with head held high .

I agree with you..!!
I am happy with the new entry and want to see Dev realizing the importance of Sona.He can't have that realization if Sona does not attempt to move on in her life.He chose his mother over her and she has every right to move forward in her life. Why should she be the one doing the waiting?

Such a fantastic post. I am surprised to see a lot of posts angry at Sona for smiling, moving on...and I wondered about it. Thanks for giving me a place to give my views.
Why is it that always men can do what they want and women just have to react?. I am sure I may offend some people with this line . The portrayal that Men can dish out everything and women have to take it in order to prove true love stuns me. When you are in Love it is the responsibility of both parties involved to keep their end of the promises made. In this case Dev has shut the door to any future with her and told her in a very nasty way that there is no future for them...so why should she wait for a close door to open?.
Her family supported her when she made a choice to love Dev and went to Dev house to talk marriage..which any parent would do. Now that they see their daughter shattered to pieces they are doing everything they can to make her happy and instead of letting her live with the heartbreak wants her to move on. Sona gave it all for the fairy tale love she thought she will have with Dev when that is not happening what is wrong with her choosing a practical way? A way that her parents believe will bring her happiness?. After all her parents also mean as much to her as Easwari does to Dev. My gripe in all this was that Dev never even attempted to get to know Sona parents...to date they have only showed that Sona has worked on the relationship t is time for Dev to do his part if he wants Sona so I have no regrets in Sona moving on.

Sorry for the long rant

What a beautiful beautiful reply. I'd great pleasure reading it , it made me ponder on so many other points than those that I mentioned in my post.
Let me ask a question- what should be more important for a girl when she's trying to choose and decide on a life partner ?? My simple mind says she should be sure in her mind n heart that this guy'll stand by me through thick n thin ( life is always full of hurdles , if hurdles could've been given lieu as excuse to breaking ,er, say kicking your partner out, then no marriage would've sustained. ) , will respect me n my family, will try to make himself a part of my family , get to know them as much as I make myself part of their family, will treat me like a good friend to whom I can confide with out fear of being judged and also have the confidence that he'll not consider as lesser priority than his family n most importantly , never drop my hand.
So till now, Dev has successfully failed in all these regards.
Dev would've continued to behave as if Sona was Dudh mein Makhhi who now left and that didn't bring even slightest of change in his life. NO wonder his mother calls it < " char din ka rista.. " n " a mistake. " After all , he himself affirms such comments through how he behaves.
Why'd his mother take his relationship seriously when he never did ?? I frankly speaking, cringed when Sona said " I was also part of his happiness. " when the said guy is busy portraying that She's totally irrelevant to his happiness.

Indian society has patriarchal mindset you know , since childhood they are taught to make adjustment regarding their dreams ,choice , wishes. Our indian serials are not helping it either .More than anything i am worried about reaction of some girls here i mean they want sona to wait for the guy who just dumped her in a worst way. I mean give me a reason why she should wait for dev. who cares for Girl's respect and her choice right.😕

Dev is very good man at heart .But his weakness is not understanding other's emotions and feelings. It goes two ways.He has to earn the respect from sona.
