Did Ishwari give a reason as to why she did not approve of Sonakshi? No. Just that she didn't like her.

Asha Bose asked, "what's not to like about her?! The fact that she's Bengali? Or that she is middle class? "

Sonakshi's mind would have asked many more questions? Am I not pretty enough? Am I unworthy? Is it because I dont know how to cook? Why am I so unsuitable for her son? What's so bad about me?

Does any girl deserve this? Imagine what she felt when Ishwari was giving her sham condolences as she was passing over her duties?

Bijoy, hurt for his daughter, was angered that his daughter was made to feel less than worthy. You are a gem! ! Heera!

Sonakshi is true to expect that Dev would never come around to win her back, especially after Ishwari's parting words. The mother is quite happy she is out of the picture regardless of how miserable the son is.

How will she fit in when she knows Ishwari will not change her mind?

I guess the question we must ask is: what will make Ishwari change her mind? If at all Sonakshi is to go back to Dev, it's his mother's job to win her back. Because Sona knows Dev loves her so much. And he's just being pinned under his mother's expectations of him.

I agree with you. I think if anyone can bring Dev and Sona back together it has to be Ishwari. And it is going to be a difficult task for Ishwari because Sona won't be able to trust her that easily again. The last time Ishwari said she was happy with their relationship, she was lying. And eventually that led to Dev and Sona's break up. We will have to wait and watch i guess.

Splendid observation below. Even if we give Dev the benefit of the doubt that at the hospital he was in emotional distress so had that reaction during the phone conversation he still could have redeemed himself if he would have asked for time. He has thrown her out of his life mercilessly and still we have problems with Sona moving on?. Dev has been portrayed as weak not complicated there is a difference

Even that day during phone conversation, when Sonakshi said Goodbye, he'd a good chance there , he should've told her then n there that he'll try to talk n convince mom once she's completely better , mean while Sona can move on if she wishes, but he simply went along the flow , with a " Good bye DR. Bose. " n doomed himself.

He's not been shown as a fighter in love , but a escapist . That's wrong with his characterization.

I completely agree with almost everything you have written. I think I might be the only one here who wasnt delighted with the "angry Dev to be back" news because from my ample experience with Hindi shows I know that these men are never angry for the right reasons & never on the person who has truly wronged them. And I was 100% right. Dev will be angry on the phone, Bhola, Kichu sitting in his village, etc but he wont have the guts to ask his mother a simple question: WHY? Why did you not tell me you didnt like Sona? Why did you lie to me when I asked you if you liked her? Why did the situation degrade to such an extent that you overdosed (I still donno how they say its an overdose? It can very well be a suicide no?😕 For them to know she didnt commit suicide Ishwari has to tell it to them which she hasnt...but then maybe because "ma aisa kar hi nahi sakti"😆) Why dont you like Sona? So many questions which Dev should have...the most shocking part is that let alone asking Ishwari he doesnt have these questions even when he is alone?😲 Is he that brain dead? I think he discussed Bhola's departure more than he is discussing Sona's leaving

I see Dev as Ishwari's slave. He is not a person in his own right. And slaves do not have any right to make their own decisions. Is it right? No! But thats just the way things are. Ishwari has done this one big favour on Dev by ensuring he got educated & became THE Dev Dixit. And now Dev will have to return that favor in installments & I guess Sonakshi was the first installment. Pata nahi Ishwari Mata aur kitne bali mangegi🤢

@Sona moving on: She has every right to move on. But I hope she keeps Ritwick informed about things & doesnt end up unknowingly using Ritwick as a means to get over Dev. That would be unfair to the guy

In real life I cannot see any girl wanting to willingly become a part of the Dixit clan especially after seeing how unhealthy the Ma - Beta relationship is. In fact Sona should only take back Dev if he agrees to move out of that house. He can continue with his ma-bhakti from outside but Sona should really not bother with Ishwari, but this being a Hindi show ofc this will never happen

I don't think Dev'd have ever faced his mom if not for Ritwik entry, he wouldn't have lifted a finger . NO sir ! so all those Devakshi fans dishing it out to poor Ritwik should know that Ritwik is the best thing to happen to Devakshi's future , if they have any at all 😆 , an angel almost.

It says a lot about the trust he's already managed to build in Sona's heart that she's frankly confiding in him about her past. 😳

Because he also gone through break-up.He understand Sona well.That she found a confident in him.She shared her past with him n he understands it well.

Agree - Ritwik is the best thing to happen to Devakshi's future , if they have any at all 😆.
Dev need a triggering point to fight for his love.Ritvik can be that point.
