I want to see devaskhi together..but the c.vs do need to show some great redemption scenes for me to be happy wth Sona going back to Dev..as of now..Dev is the only one e is wrong..not Sona..not Ishwari...its jus Dev...a guy like him shld never ever have hidden the relation from his mother for a long time...

That's the questions Sona threw at him during break up , you took the decision in a moment , you took it all alone and ended it all . Did you take your mummy's permission before loving me ?? Did you take her permission before proposing to me and making so many ( empty ) promises to me ??
The Dev we have is still attached to Ishwari through an invisible umbilical cord , and can never love any girl like a man loves a woman , because for that you need to face your parents and have the guts to gently argue and reason with them when they're wrong . Why I argue and reason with my parents when I beg to differ , with proper respect and they value it , and I'm only 23.
Your parents are also human, they can make mistakes , have faults just like any other person. But Dev's " best mom in the world " is a God to him who can't make mistakes !

At the age of 27 , a so-called business tycoon doesn't have spine enough , willingness n motive enough to stand for his love , his girl, breaking up is the solution to him.
Unless extremely strong reasons are presented , Sona should strongly consider completely moving on in life.

Not going to say anything here because you have already succinctly said all that can be said on this topic. 👏

My only complaint is when are they going to ban Mills and boon so that at least some people can be prevented from developing such unrealistic and hazardous notions of so called true love where the girl always behaves like a doormat for her rich and powerful lover who treats his dog better than her because ultimately because of her sacrifices he falls in 'true love' with her

Thank you so much.
I'm slow to replying to all the lovely comments in my post, that are so thought inducing. 😃 Great to know that not every one thinks being a despo door mat for a guy who doesn't deserve it , is equal to being true to love. 😆

Hey Gargi !
Finally, I am really happy to see you posting here ... It's been long time 🤗

Your post is so intense that I am unable to resist voicing out my opinion over this whole break-up thing..

To be frank, I started watching this show because we had some really promising promos with the same old concept but being presented to us in an unconventional manner. ( Of course, this includes my admiration towards Shaheer's work. I have always been following his shows except Navya. )

The show started off giving us quite good expectations. We can see that there is unparalleled love between the mother-son duo.

Kya paate hai kya khote hain jab dilon ke faisle dimaag se hote hain

I was like ''seriously'' ? Choosing mother over love is the so-called DIMAAG KA FAISLA ? Why is he not able to understand that he doesn't need to choose his Mother or his Love ! These two are totally different !

I agree that Dev had a disturbing childhood but that doesn't mean that one must just turn oneself into a emotionally weak person just because of one's past ! I just don't know how this 27 year old person has been able to establish himself as a successful business tycoon? If he is really a business tycoon, then he should be able to apply some sort of LOGIC man ! Dev once says that "Business is quite easy because we take decisions fairly as we don't bother about the other person but in family, it is difficult to do so." I find that dialogue absolutely absurd. We call persons family not only because they are our blood relations but family can also be people who are close to our heart. He regarded Sonakshi as family and also asked her to stand in the family photograph. Then why did he choose Ishwari then ?

This clearly states that Dev is a confused soul. He has fallen in love for the first time. He knew that it was first love for Sona as well. If his mother only was supposed to be his family, then why give other girl too many hopes? If he was so conscious about his mom's choices, he shouldn't have loved anyone . He has failed as a BF, and also as a Boss. Mixing up personal and professional lives was totally unprofessional !

The most important thing in a relationship is equality and trust that they will be together in happiness and hardships. When Sonakshi was able to accept Dev's family as her's, Dev must also understand that Sona's family is also important. The way he just argued with Sonakshi was so pathetic. He didn't even face Sona's family once when they were in a relationship. When Sona was ready to sort out issues, and to face it, Dev simple chose to terminate his relationship and accepted defeat. To err is human, and Dev is not at all ready to accept that even Ishwari is not always right.

There were several posts in the forum stating Sona is urging herself to move on and our bechara ML is suffering and spilling fat tears... let me tell them, he himself is responsible for it. Let him suffer, let him understand that nothing in this world comes for granted. Sonakshi was not for granted, she was not only his lovely bunny. For God's sake, she has got her own identity, her own space, her own family. If I were Sona, I would never go back to a relation which had no space for me.

It's pathetic that our country has that stereotypes still prevailing in the society. God has created everyone equal. He has given same hearts and brains to both men and women. Both have equal rights on emotions. If a boy is attached to his family and expects his girl to amalgamate with his family there is totally no wrong in a girl expecting the same from her man. I support Sona's decision of moving on. There is nothing wrong in it. If Dev chose his mother, then Sona also must think about her family.

Dev had worked hard to become the Dev Dixit. He must also work hard, change his perspective and earn Sona's love once again. Let me tell you, this is not going to be simple as we say. It is difficult for a man of 27 years to change his perspectives and mindset at a time. It takes time. Also, For Sona it would be tough to believe Dev because who knows, he may hurt her again ! It would be interesting to watch the redemption of Dev Dixit . I am eager, to know how exactly this would happen.

She has tried enuf to please Dev's family and even gave more importance to their approval. N what she gets in return is this accusatory breakup, Dev giving no regards whatsoever to Sona's feelings and happiness. N he claims he loves her. Words mean nothing if there are no actions to support them. Dev is basking in the glory of matrydom...mahaan Dev. But does Dev or anyone in his family really cares what Sona is going thru. N now wen Ish is ok he calls Sona as if nothing has happened, I dnt need a reason to call you. Glad Sona gave him good response.

Sona has d right to move on n think abt herself n her family. She doesnt have to prove her love for Dev.

@Bold, well that part was kind of Sona's own doing methinks , she never made it a point to make herself n her family a priority whereas with Dev it was always him , his choice , his happiness , his family, their happiness , their approval and fitting Sona into the family ...it was his side that he prioritized and Sona let it happen . I won't call it selfless and unconditional love. I'll call it doormat stupid blind love.
Hope she'll soon snap out of this blind love syndrome.

If Dev is such a horrible guy then why are people still talking about patch up ..let's all root for Ritwick and Sona''s love story..can we think about some name for this new couple...I wish they show Sona ending up with Ritwick ..perfect girl meets perfect guy ...
Sonakshi can never understand how it feels when you are born in a dysfunctional family and how ones suffer for no fault of theirs. .for her it's always black and white .I don't think she is the right partner for Dev ..she can never understand the pain one goes through when you you are stuck to choose between someone's life over love...she is lucky to have a beautiful family which people like Dev lack.

She was given enough warning about how complicated Dev''s life is and she had seen with her own eyes how his family was before falling in love ..everything was clear yet she fell for him...I wonder what she saw in him...it's easy to fall in love but difficult to love the same man for the whole life ...if Dev made hollow promises then so did Sonakshi

If Dev choose his mom over her then Sona chose her father over Dev.. as simple as that ...you cannot blame one and sympathise with the other one when both have committed the same mistake ...

If she thinks a women needs a man to move on in life and marriage is the solution to all her problems then let it be ...let her move on completely ..I have no issues ..all I want from her is never come back to Dev ...

I have a slightly different way of expressing the same thoughts.

I think Dev loved Sona very much. He loves her very much. He gave his 100% to the relationship. But he could not place his love for Sona on the same pedestal as his love and respect for his mother. His error was in misjudging his mother and her reactions. He could not have been happy with Sona if his mother was unhappy with them being together. I have been thinking about it. Dev has never been shown to be a guy who "planned" or "schemed" in any way. He has hidden things from his family to save them any worry, but he has always had a black or white opinion on matters. No grey for him.

So, now, if he knows his mother acted in such an extreme manner when it came to his love, why would he keep Sona waiting for him? To him, it is a never in his mind. His mother will never accept her. And hence his reaction. Is he happy with it? Absolutely not. He is feeling miserable. But could "Dev" have done anything differently, I don't think so.

Coming to Sona, she is doing the right thing by moving on. But, she should keep Ritwik informed of her present emotional status. As long as he knows, and he is still ok with it, she is doing the right thing. When he can chose his mother over her, what is wrong if she chooses her family's happiness over Dev? They both love their families equally. And Sona knows Dev well enough to know that he will not change his opinion easily, particularly when it comes to his mother. And she also knows how screwed up Ishwari is. So, why put her family through misery?

Sona has been shown as an extremely understanding person throughout the show, having a dysfunctional family is in no way an excuse to hurt somebody's feelings. She has borne her own share of pain for Dev during the Natasha phase, during all those taunts and insults by Dev's family.
Dev didn't have a good family? Ok. But he got a good life partner didn't he? One cant keep living in the past. Warning? Its not an adventure sport , its life. You cant just say I am a difficult man and not even make an effort when difficult situation arises. Sona promised Dev that she will always support him and be with him but what is a girl supposed to do when she is literally chucked out of his life as if she is of no importance. Why should she support him when he does not even gives her enough respect. So for me , no promises broken. She is not supposed to hold her life for somebody who does not value her.
Sona did not choose her father over Dev. She accepts her family's decision after Dev broke up with her,not the same thing at all. As for needing a man,its her life, her decision, whether she chooses to be with a man or be alone all life.

No offence, just my opinion.

Interesting opnion and I am glad you shared your views here

It doesn't give anyone any right to hurt others..Dev''s intention was not to hurt Sona. .he was helpless and he took a impulsive decision ...He could have waited but Dev has always been like this ...SonakshI is blessed with a good family and it reflects in her upbringing being the mature one she could have handled the situation better ...

Life is full of ups and downs .There will be many hurdles and you need to have patience and faith to cross them.Tomorrow if she marries Rithwick there can be situations where she will have issues and giving up is not the solution. Same applies to Dev as well .

Dev is not responsible for the pain she had to go through during Natasha''s phase ...Dev was not aware of her feelings and Sona did not confess her feelings to him...but can we forget what he did for his love after he realised ...he broke his enagagement without knowing whether the girl for whom he did this will love him back or not...he could not imagine himself with some other girl when he was in love with Sonakshi. ..whereas Sona is ready to marry a guy when she is in love with Dev...

Regarding insults ,Dev is still not aware of this ...She never shared it for him to take a stand ...and I feel bad for whatever happened to her but punishing Dev and herself is not the solution to this problem .coming to RR I feel she could have handled by stopping that lady but again Sona never took RR seriously. ...

Dev made a mistake and Sona is in the process of making another mistake ...if she feels Rithwick is the ideal partner for her then she has every right to move on ...I wish her all the best but she needs to realise that giving up is not the solution ...tomorrow if there some issue between her and Rithwick will she leave that guy again ?

As a broad note , thank you so much to each n every one who commented in my post and for the likes in my main post. It just reinforces my belief that not every one considers regression is the way to go when it comes to love , n people still believes a woman should give her all to love , except her self respect. It restores my faith on humanity. 👏
A woman first belongs to herself, then her family, lover , in laws etc. She owes her utmost to her own self respect and in no way should get involved or encourage a situation , not for any one or any thing that can be a blow to it.
