It doesn't give anyone any right to hurt others..Dev''s intention was not to hurt Sona. .he was helpless and he took a impulsive decision ...He could have waited but Dev has always been like this ...SonakshI is blessed with a good family and it reflects in her upbringing being the mature one she could have handled the situation better ...

Life is full of ups and downs .There will be many hurdles and you need to have patience and faith to cross them.Tomorrow if she marries Rithwick there can be situations where she will have issues and giving up is not the solution. Same applies to Dev as well .

Dev is not responsible for the pain she had to go through during Natasha''s phase ...Dev was not aware of her feelings and Sona did not confess her feelings to him...but can we forget what he did for his love after he realised ...he broke his enagagement without knowing whether the girl for whom he did this will love him back or not...he could not imagine himself with some other girl when he was in love with Sonakshi. ..whereas Sona is ready to marry a guy when she is in love with Dev...

Regarding insults ,Dev is still not aware of this ...She never shared it for him to take a stand ...and I feel bad for whatever happened to her but punishing Dev and herself is not the solution to this problem .coming to RR I feel she could have handled by stopping that lady but again Sona never took RR seriously. ...

Dev made a mistake and Sona is in the process of making another mistake ...if she feels Rithwick is the ideal partner for her then she has every right to move on ...I wish her all the best but she needs to realise that giving up is not the solution ...tomorrow if there some issue between her and Rithwick will she leave that guy again ?

Hi, I would like to say that I never meant to say that Dev was responsible for the pain during Natasha phase(wrong wording I guess) but just wanted to highlight that Sona too has gone through pain be it because of Dev or not but she did not let that (taunts and insults)stop her from loving Dev or supporting him(Though I do feel she should have shared the same with Dev and not tolerated the insults). As for the marriage, see the episode has not been aired so we really don't know exactly what will be shown but one thing for sure is that that the guy she supposedly agrees to marry is aware of her love for Dev and her feelings.So as long as both are ready to take that step knowing everything, its fine by me, though I doubt either the show or in real life there will be any haste in wedding even after agreement to wed.

Sona is not giving up,she is moving on😕Dev gave up on the relationship without trying.Sona was ready to talk about the problem later on but Dev hastily took the decision to separate, not her. So I feel she is ready to tackle problems and hurdles,she just wants to that as a team with Dev, after all its "their" love.And when the other half is missing, how will she do so. The problem is on Dev's family's end so his involvement is a must.

Well written. In any normal circumstances i would expect the patch up to be a difficult task. After what Dev made Sona go through, she wouldn't just run back to him the moment he apologizes to her.

For the strong woman she is portrayed to be, she would think a million times before going back to Dev. Ofcourse her love for Dev would never go away, but the pain and humiliation she had to go through will always overcome that love.

It was disappointing to see Dev make the decision of breaking up with her in a split second for his mother. The scenario would have been different if he had calmly sat down with her, shared what is in his mind and how his mother disapproved of their relationship. Because Sona has always lend a listening ear to him for all his problems and thoughts in the past. And every time, she has contributed with her opinions and suggestions. Yes sometimes she has disagreed to his way of doing things and has been vocal about it. But most importantly she has always supported him no matter what. And it wouldn't have been different this time, had he spoken to her first.

That is what hurt her the most I guess and made her lose any hope of spending the rest of her life with Dev.

I liked the subtle way of introducing this new character into the story line by the CV's. Usually we see a very unrealistic best friend popping up out of nowhere just to create a jealousy track between the two leads. A new entry in the form of a proposal brought in by the family sounds much more realistic.

And coming to the proposal, it wouldn't be a surprise if Sona would agree to get married to this guy. Because, what has she to wait for when she has lost all hopes in Dev.

I have seen how a lot of fans have gone on an overdrive and is disapproving of Sona's behaviour to Rithvik and how she has agreed to get married to easily. I suggest everyone slow down and wait. Because they haven't even introduced Rithvik's character yet to know his story. And there could be a possible small leap before all this marriage talks. You never know until the story is aired. Of course i am not saying that Rithvik and Sona should get married because then we know the story would deviate from the initial plot line. And so far the CV's have kept their word and is continuing the story as per the initial promos.

Ok i will end my rather long and boring comment here. I sincerely apologize for the length. But i just wanted to share my thoughts.

Excellent analysis.

Even that day during phone conversation, when Sonakshi said Goodbye, he'd a good chance there , he should've told her then n there that he'll try to talk n convince mom once she's completely better , mean while Sona can move on if she wishes, but he simply went along the flow , with a " Good bye DR. Bose. " n doomed himself.

He's not been shown as a fighter in love , but a escapist . That's wrong with his characterization.

Amazing opinions here.

As for me, I think it's understandable that Boses want Sonakshi to move on from Dev. It's a knee jerk response as response to insult to their honour.

Did Ishwari give a reason as to why she did not approve of Sonakshi? No. Just that she didn't like her.

Asha Bose asked, "what's not to like about her?! The fact that she's Bengali? Or that she is middle class? "

Sonakshi's mind would have asked many more questions? Am I not pretty enough? Am I unworthy? Is it because I dont know how to cook? Why am I so unsuitable for her son? What's so bad about me?

Does any girl deserve this? Imagine what she felt when Ishwari was giving her sham condolences as she was passing over her duties?

Bijoy, hurt for his daughter, was angered that his daughter was made to feel less than worthy. You are a gem! ! Heera!

Sonakshi is true to expect that Dev would never come around to win her back, especially after Ishwari's parting words. The mother is quite happy she is out of the picture regardless of how miserable the son is.

How will she fit in when she knows Ishwari will not change her mind?

I guess the question we must ask is: what will make Ishwari change her mind? If at all Sonakshi is to go back to Dev, it's his mother's job to win her back. Because Sona knows Dev loves her so much. And he's just being pinned under his mother's expectations of him.
