At Sona's house:
Elena: Sonaaa!!! Sonaa...! Tu yaha he..! Obvious si baath he, ghar me kahi nahi toh atleast terrace pe thaare ginthi toh tu zaroor milegi!
Sona: Aww kithna kuch jaanthi ho mere baare me eli!! Waise tu yaha kya kar rahi ho..ithni raath me??
Elena: Wo actually mom dad kisi function ke liye gaye huve he. Aane me bahuth dher ho jayegi. Isiliye aaj me tumhare ghar me rahungi!!
Sona: Kya!!! Thab toh me gayi kaam se!
Elena: Aww..tu bhi kithna samajthi he mujhe!! Waise mujhe tumhara laptop chahiye..me use karu???
Sona: Teek he!! Chalo andhar de dethi hu!
In the room Elena using Sona'z laptop and Sona sitting next to her reading a magazine. Elena: Sona...!! Tune apna facebook logout nahi kia?
Sona: Nahi kia?? Shaayadh bhool gayi hogi..Logout kar dena.
Just then Saurabh( Sona'z bro) comes in.
Saurabh: Sona wo mere naye cooling glasses kaha rakhe he tune? Mil nahi raha!!
Sona: Aapke bed ke paas ke table me hi toh rakha tha! Chaliye me dikhati hu.
Sona finds them and returns to her room to find Elena laughing all alone. Sona: Ye tu akele akele kyu muskuraa rahi ho? Nikhil se baathe ho rahi he?? :P.
Elena: Dev ne tumhara request accept kar liya!!
Sona(confused): Kya???
Then she sees Elena using her f.book account and that she had sent Dev friend request.
Sona:(hitting Elena with a pillow) Pagal..ye tune kya kia!!!
Elena: Wahi kia jo tu kabhi nahi kar paathi!!
Sona: Tumhe har wakth mazaak hi soojtha he!! Wo kya soch raha hoga mere baare me!
Elena: Kuch accha hi soch raha hoga!! Kaise aaj tum dono barso baadh mile premiyo ki tarah ek doosre ko dekhke muskuraa rahe the!!
Sona: Tu aaj definitly mujhse maar khayegi!!
And they start hitting each other with the pillows!!
Just then Sona receives video call from Arjun and both Elena and Sona sit in front of the phone to talk.
Arjun: Sona!! Kya baath he! Tune pataaya bhi kise!! Mere dosth ko!!! Sona: What!! Kaun??
Elena: Dev tumhara dosth he Arjun??
Sona: What!!tumne use kab dekha?
Arjun: Tumhare side me ek innocent bacchi baiti he na..us ne abhi abhi Dev ka picture send kia tha!!
Sona( looking angrily at Elena): Elenaaa!!! And ye kya patne aur pataane ki baath ho rahi he..me bas use jaanthi hu..aur kuch nahi!!
Elena: Aww..sona!! Tumhara good luck bhi dekho!! Dev aur Arjun ka dosth!! Ab toh game easy he!!
Sona: Chup kar!! Aur Arjun..tu usse kaise jaantha he?
Elena: Oohoo..iski curiosity toh dekho!?
Arjun: Haha..Yaar tu todhi dher chup bait!! Aur Sona..mera ek dosth Dev ke college me padaai kar raha tha..Dev uska best friend he. Jabhi me us dosth se milne jaatha tha..Dev se bhi mulaakath ho jaatha tha..! Very nice guy!
Sona: Oh..ok and smiles to herslf hearing Arjun say " very nice guy" .
Arjun: Par ek bad news he!Actually wo sirf 3 maheene hoga tumhare college me!Usne mba last year hi complete kar li thi. Ab usske job ke training tumhare college me chal rahi he..So..
Elena: Kya yaar Arjun!! Abhi se uske hopes ko thod rahe ho!!
Sona: Me ab tum dono ka face thodungi! Kuch bhi!! Arjun..tumhe toh me kal dekh lungi..! Eli toh aaj raath bahuth maar khaane waali he!
And then their nokjhok continues and after they disconnect the call...
Elena: Mujhse ek aur galthi ho gayi Sona!
Sona:(tensed) Ab aur kya?!
Elena: Wo naa..actually Arjun ko Dev ka picture send karne ke excitement me maine galthi se use Saurabh dada ko bhi send kar diya!!!
Sona: Ohh noo!!!
Just then Saurabh enters.
Saurabh: Elena ye tumne Dev ke photo mujhe kyu bheja???
Sona( surprised) : Aap ko naam bhi patha he??
Saurabh: Haa...baba aur uske dad bahuth acche dosth he. Ek baar unke yaha function me maine isse dekha tha.
Sona: Accha?? To maine usse kyu nahi dekha?Me kaha thi??
Saurabh: Tu kabhi bhi apne books aur basketball ko chod ke humaare sath bahaar aayi ho? Shukar he ki atleast iss Elena Aur Arjun ke chalthe todha bahuth bahar ghoomthi ho! Waise Elena tumne bathaaya nahi ki photo kyu bheja?
Elena: Wo sorry dada..galthi se!!
Saurabh: Pagal..! Chal..teek he..aap dono lage raho!
And he takes leave.
Elena: Wahh! Sona! Poori khaynaath tumhare aur Dev ki setting karaane me lagi huvi he! Arjun bhi usse jaantha he..aur ab dada bhi..!!! How lucky!! Kaash mere aur Nikhil ki story bhi ithna easy hotha!!
Sona: Bas!! Aaj bahuth hogaya tera drama..mujhe neendh aa rahi he. Disturb math karo.
Elena: Areeyy Sona!! Teek he..aaj nahi toh kal sahi! Kal toh chedd sakthi hu..! Gud nyt!!
And everyday in college it became a routine for Sona to see Dev in her college premises. Everytime they saw each other , they shared a smile. And just this would make her day. At first she used to get pissed by Elena and her non-stop teasing but as the days passed she used to enjoy it. She started loving her life. She got back her lost self-belief. Just the sight of that one person brought in soo many changes within her. She wanted to share these feelings with Elena and Arjun but she didnot. Coz she knew they would go to any extent to make her happy. But she believed in the thought that - If its written in the stars, it will happen..if not it will not.
One fine day..
Elena: Sona!! Tumne notice board dekha??Aaj shaam ko humare college me koi dance event he..!! And guess what!! Nikhil host kar raha he!!
Sona: Tu aise react kar rahi he jaise Hrithik Roshan aa raha ho! Waise bhi mujhe kaam he , me ghar jaa rhi hu. Tu jaake dekhle apne Nikhil ko!!
Elena: Kya Sona!! Me akele kaise jau? Tumhe aana hi padega. Please na Sona pleaaaseee...
Sona: Ok baba..teek he!! Chalungi! Par zyadha dher me nahi rukne waali. Elena: Ok..!!Thankyu Sona!!! And they share a hug.
Later in the evening in the event venue.
Elena: Kithna mazaa aa raha he na Sona!!
Sona: Haa..tumhari nazar jo stage se hatt hi nahi rahi he!
Elena: Wo toh he!! Haaye wo suit me kithna dashing lag raha tha!!
Just then came an announcement : Ab aapke saamne perform karne aa rahe GM college ke old students Dev and team!!
Elena(poking Sona): Ab dekhthe he kiski nazar stage se nahi hatthi!
Sona: Dont tell me ki Tujhe patha tha ki ye sab hone waale he??
Elena: Ab tumhe enquiry hi karni he ya..usse dance karthe huve dekhna he?? Dekh..aa gaye stage pe!
And then Dev and team performed on some of the bollywood numbers. Sona just couldnot take her eyes off him and Elena was having fun looking at her friend admiring him perform.
Performance got over and there was a loud round of applause and Sona realised that his performance got over.
Elena: Toh kaisa tha Sona??
Sona(lost): Too good!!
Elena(giggling): Haa?? Kyaa??
Sona(realizing what she said): Nahi! Mera mathlab teek taak tha! Mera wo bag class me hi he. Me lekar aathi hu. Tu yahi wait karo, me jaldhi aathi hu.
Elena: Kuch bhi karlo..! Ye nahi maanegi!!
Sonakshi collected her bag and was returning towards the venue , she saw someone sitting alone near the basketball court bouncing the ball. Sona was curious to know who it was and to her surprise it was Dev! She was confused whether to go back or talk to him. Without thinking any further she went to him.
Sona: That was a good one!!
Dev(surprised): Hey! Sonakshi!! Tum yaha?? And what was good? Me tho khel bhi nahi raha tha..!
Sona: Me tumhare performance ki bath kar rahi thi.
Dev: Wo..! Thankyu! Waise tum yaha kaise?
Sona: Wo actually mera bag class me hi reh gaya tha, use lene ke liye aayi thi. Jaathe wakth tumhe yaha dekh liya...Yaha akele kyu baite ho?
Dev:Patha nahi..! Aise hi mann kar raha tha akele baitne ka...Waise tumhe yaad he hum pehle basket ball court me hi mile the!
Sona: Haa yaadh he!
Dev: Socha nahi tha ki kabhi milna bhi hoga! But I am glad!!
Sona: Glad!!??
Dev: Haa..Sachh me..ajeeb si kushi thi!Waise aap ithni chup chaap kyu rehthi he?
Sona: Nahi toh! Aisa kyu laga?
Dev: Jab bhi apko dektha hu..aapki wo dosth humesha non-stop baathe karthi rehthihe..aur tum sirf uski baatho pe muskuraathe ho..!...Waise muskuraathe huye acche lagthe ho! He said looking right into her eyes.
Sona stood still not knowing how to react. Elena, Arjun and her dada used to always complement her but she was never used to hearing it from others. For a moment she felt everything was just right.
Dev: Sonakshi!!! Are you ok?? Kya soch rahi ho? Maine kuch galath ..?
Sona: Nahi Dev!! Aisi baathe bahuth kam suni he maine..isiliye...
Dev: Dont tell me!!... You do deserve compliments Sonakshi.!
Sona felt good hearing what he said.
Dev realised she is still lost at her thoughts.
Dev: Waise ek baath galath hua he!!
Sona: Kaunsi bath?
Dev: Maine kabhi bhi tumhe basketball khelthe huve nahi dekha..cheer nahi kar paya.
Sona: Eh? Ab ye baath kaha se aa gayi??
Dev: Mere toofani dhimaag se!Waise me abhi bhi apko khelthe huve dekh saktha hu!!
Sona: Wo kaise??
Dev(picking up d ball): Ye kya he?
Sona: BasketBall!
Dev(pointing to the basketball court): Wo kya he?
Sona: Basketball court!
Dev: Exactly! Aur hum dono players!! So ek match toh bantha he!!
Sona: What!! No no no no!! Almost 2 saal hogaye mujhe khelthe huve ..mujhse nahi hoga!
Dev: Oh common Sonakshi! Be a sport! Maza aayega!
Sona: Par koi aa jayega!
Dev: Koi nahi aayega iss wakth..ab aur bahaane nahi sunnne mujhe. Chalo!!
And he holds her hand and takes her to the court.
Dev: So game on!!
Sona: Dev! Nahi...
Dev(making a puppy face):Pleasseee??
Sona( couldnot say no seeing his sad face): Teek he!! Game on!!
And they start playing , one not allowing the other to basket the ball.
During the game...
Dev: I dont believe 2 saal se aap khel nahi rahi thi!Mauka hi nahi de rahi ho aap! Jhhoot kaha tha na?
Sonakshi realised he is speaking and making her loose the concentration on game .
In a matter of seconds she got hold of the ball and aimed it right to the basket!!! Sona: Yes! Yes! Yes! I did it!!! And she started her victory dance!
Dev stood there amazed not knowing how did she trick him in the game.
Dev: Me baatho se aapko distract karna chahtha tha..par aap mujhe hi!!! Not bad!!
Sona: Haha..!Ye sab tricks me pehle se hi janthi thi! So it wasnt that tuff!!
Dev: Accha!! Chaliye match abhi bhi baaki he!!
Just then Sona phone rings. Sona sees that its Elena calling her!!
Sona: Oh noo!! Use tho maine wait karne ko kaha tha..aur aadha ghanta ho gaya!! (Receivng the phone) Hello..eli..wo..
Elena: Subah koi keh raha tha ki usse aaj zaroori kaam he..jaldhi jaana he etc etc!! Aur yaha basketball khela jaa raha he!
Sona(surprised and looking around): Tu kaha he?Kaha se dekh rahi he!! Elena: Wahi tumhaare left pe ek bench ke peeche chupi hu..
Sona: Tu bhi!!! Ruk abhi aathi hu...! (Turning to Dev) I am sorry Dev..mujhe jaana hoga..Elena mera wait kar rahi he.
Dev: Par..game??
Sona: Phir kabhi?? Please mujhe jaana hoga..
Dev: Teek he..Par agli baat poore game complete kiye bina aap nahi ja sakthi!
Sona: I promise!
Dev: Okay! Great! See ya then!
Sona: see ya!
And she rushes towrds Elena.
Elena: Ahem Ahem!!
Sona(not allowing her to speak): Wo rahi taxi..chalo jaldhi!!dher ho rahi he!
Elena: Accha ab dher ho rahi he madam ko!!
And Elena and her usual kichaayi continues while Sona remnisces the day spent with Dev and the words he said to her.
Later in the night Sona is busy with her college work. She receives a notification -" New facebook mesage".
Sona: Ye kaun iss wakth message kar saktha he? Zaroor Elena hi hogi..! She opens the messenger and she is amazed at what she sees. It was Dev.
It read : Thank you for making my day!
Sona(to herself): Din toh mera bana diya tumne! (Coming to her senses) Ab me ise reply karu ya na karu?? Reply Karu bhi toh kya karu??..soch sona!!
And then she types "Pleasure is mine " and sends it!!
Sona desperatly waits for reply if any!! She waits and waits and falls asleep with the phone in her hand.
Next morning she wakes up and realises she fell asleep waiting for his reply. She quickly checks her phone to find a new message from Dev.
It read: :) Waise aapka victory dance kaafi accha tha!! :D.
Sona remembers it and shyly bangs her phone to her forehead!
