Even I believe that the show has turned incredibly boring. Very cheesy. it gets OTT. I mean at one point they showed Dev as this emotionally challenged man and now Bam! he's a different person altogether. I mean they should have made him grow as a romantic slowly at a certain pace. this was too much to handle.
Personally I like stories which take some time for confessions and realizations. Even his realisation was very hastened just because of seeing Sonakshi with his eyes closed. I mean common! They should have made him realize his love for Sona gradually.
My dad used to love KRPKAB and we watched it together but even he has stopped watching now and regularly says- "Ye Kya boring laga rakha hai tune."

I don't mean to offend anyone here. I seriously love this show! But I'm just not happy with the way this has progressed.

Peace!

Absolutely true. You are right the realisation of love happened in Bollywood style. Dev closes his eyes and sees Sonakshi and jumps into confession part. You know it reminded me the scene in Kuch Kuch Hota Hai where Sharukh closes his eyes and sees Kajol and goes to stop her marriage.
I mean why should a person like Dev be in such a hurry to confess? He could have waited for sometime to make sure that his heart lies with Sonakshi. It looked absurd to me.
And I also felt bad that he is least bothered to know what happened to Natasha after his rejection on the day of engagement. Certainly a girl will feel so bad if that happened on that day.But no Neither Dev nor Sonakshi have the courtesy to call her up or show concern.ofcourse they are too busy with their
Puppy love and teenage romance as Pandora rightly called them.
My mother is a very big Shaheer fan since Navya. But now she is not willing to watch the show after the confession episode and a couple of so called ultimate romantic scenes.
@ Thank you Pandora you have the right amount of patience and will power to tackle the onslaught that became inevitable if anything is pointed out as a flaw or any kind of criticism.
I got my due when I posted Erica needs to work Harder.I was made to say I regret.
But I am happy you did it. Way to go and Good luck.

I love this show but I agree it is getting a bit boring... I am okay with cheesy dialogue and romance And it happens in real life but it is a bit of an overdose ... Just a little bit that I lose my interest...
Also, Dev is a big businessman and Sona is also rmployeed full time ... I would love to see something real ... In reality everyone struggles to find time in busy schedule which leads to a bit of nok jhok or bekarari ... Just make it look more real ...
I love the convos in the show but they need to keep it short and sweet ... Neha repeated her gussa dialogue multiple times in last to last episode ... Yaad hai na maa ... Tu kehti thi gussa ko baha dena chahiye etc... Short and sweet will make an impacy rather than trying to say same thing in different words again an again that forced me to surf the channels on my buddhu box ...

And forum walo please dont fight, insult or type hurtful comments if someone doesnt agree or share the same pov as yours ... Everyone is entitled to love or hate or like or not like or hate but still watch a show ...we are all grown ups here ...

I think the issue here is that they are trying to romanticize Dev's obsession as romance. This is probably unpopular opinion but i'd freak out if a guy waits for me 2 hours in the rain just because we had an incomplete fight. That is abnormal and I don't see romance in it. But I realise am in the minority and I was able to sit through some of the romantic scenes mainly because I dint see them as romantic in the first place. I only saw Dev's obsession and extreme character shine through 😆 Don't even get me started on the cheesy dialogues. I can't take stuff like 'you complete me' with a straight face 😆 I know ppl are probably gonna hate this but I do see Dev as a hugely flawed character. He is far from a great guy or best boyfriend or best son or whatever. And yes his mom is hugely to be blamed for this and the two have sort of contributed to magnifying each other's flaws. Dev doesn't even care enough to inform his mom about Sona cos he has taken her consent for granted. He doesn't even bother to check on Natasha cos he feels he is entitled to do whatever he wants and he is always right. He goes from obsessing over his mom to obsessing over Sonakshi and I actually think that goes with his messed up character 😆 It would be really interesting to see how he reacts when Sona suggests in the future that she wants to work elsewhere. Pretty sure he has taken it for granted that she will always serve his mom and he doesn't feel the need for her to work cos he will provide for both. I wish they focus on stuff like this instead of just romance and cheesy declarations which ultimately hold no value if he doesn't really care to stand up for her. Anyways my point is I still find the show intriguing enough to watch. The cheesy romance grates on my nerves but I do find their relationship interesting in a lot of ways. Dev's unhealthy obsession with ppl, his mom acting like a scorned girlfriend every time he as much as spends time with another girl almost making it look like reverse Odepus complex, Neha's justified disgust with the mother son duo etc. 😆 If anything am looking forward to all that and not the romance. Hopefully the makers get the message and balance things out 😆

I enjoyed your comment alot. You pinpointed what I had in mind but I could not express it the way you have.

Most of the folks awaits how Dev-Ishwari-Sona how will they react and evolve out of these complications.

Interesting and I kind of agree ... His character was shaped by the way ishwari raised him .. Gave him all the importance ... I feel he doesnt think deep about anything... How awesome it would be if writers utilize dev and ishwari,s characters wisely and show some real life drama

He doesn't really understand anyone tbh 😆 He knows his mom has made a lot of sacrifices and feels immense gratitude and guilt hence the unadulterated devotion. Yet he is blind to her obsession and obvious discomfort everytime another girl is involved in his life. Everyone can see it apart from him. It was telling that he dint notice Sona being head over heels in love with him and dint bother to dwell on it till he himself realised he was in love with her. Ditto with him being so absorbed in Sonakshi now that he doesn't see his mom''s weird reaction to it and her disappointment in that saree fiasco. Makes him self obsessed in a way 😆 I only wish they focus on these flaws and don't try to shift all the blame on Ishwari's disturbing insecurity and mamiji's brainwashing. Cos it's a lot more than that. And hopefully they deal with it well 😆

I have been on IF for so many years now. Never I saw so much hostility for a simple opinion expressed about a show. Do people realize that this is a discussion forum and not a fan club where there will be praises and only praises showered?

Everyone has a right to watch whichever show they want and express themselves if they don't like something about that show. No one has a right to tell anyone to stop watching a show or watch any other show instead just because they don't like to hear what other person is saying.. that's not how IF works 😕

What makes me laugh is people thanking TM for forum activity as if they have a sole ownership of this forum... 😆😆 so much respect of other person's POV 👎🏼

@Purva you must have missed my previous post Erica Needs to Work Harder.
You will see the same thing happened to me then. Honestly I wondered then Is this the way IF operate as I am relatively new to the forum.
I didn't urge any one to agree with my view. I just felt she needs to work harder on her dialogue delivery and a few more things. It is my opinion.I was blasted left and right for my post and finally I admitted I regret making the post. Regret in my view is to express myself in such a place and they took it as my apology and went to the extent of saying since you realised your fault and apologised.I wondered for what I should apologise? Every person has a right to like or dislike an actress or actor.
Then I understood this place is dominated by people who function as per their will and entertain views of others only if they match with their own.
Then I posted Dev Dikshit not spared and strictly said I don't want any positive or negative views on my post.Luckily I was spared. I felt after butchering the Charecter of Sonakshi now the CVs are bent upon spoiling Dev Dikshit's Charecter.
I really felt happy for this thread and appreciate TM for boldly countering every onslaught in her own way.
I agree with all the points you put forward. It is just too much to thank the TM for increasing the forum activity.
Finally all of us love the show. That is why we bother. I bother because Shaheer is there. I may not like the romance part and the change in Dev's charecterisation but I still wish the show to do well.Shaheer should reign. No one has a right to ask others to stop watching .I may skip the romance part but I will catch up with the progress of the show. My wish.

I feel kind of cheated actually.. I decided to watch this show based on the promos thinking here comes something worth watching on Indian TV after many years.. They showed me this beautiful mature relationship with subtle romance.. something about a son torn between love of his life and a mother who is his everything.. and now they are giving me this kiddish hide and seek kind of romance with cheesy lines thrown here and there.. 😕 Now I hope that atleast the mother-son conflict they show is subtle and not cheesy OTT with gut wrenching dialogues thrown in by Ishwari's character

Ofcourse the promo shows future (main)track , but u don't have to wait years for that, by end of this month i think its going to get serious .you can feel cheated if makers don't satisfy you then.

I kinda agree. I have been watching this show for sometime now.

But last couple episodes, do not make me excited. Same old same old shit. Super cheesy dialogues. And romance to Dev - Sonakshi aise karte hai.. jese ghar mein akele rehte ho. If you want to hide it, don't be so dumb as to start staring at each other anywhere in the house. Common sense.

That whole saree sequence was - 🥱 So many mombatti - Typical Indian TV. People who commented here asking you to watch Kekta show. Well, Mombatti came from Kekta brand of TV. 😛

I am not too old from them. Close to their age. But their romance is far from reality. Who talks aap, aap in this age n day. That too independent individuals like Dev n Sona. Dev's dialogues makes me wanna sleep these days. Some scenes and conversation between Sona - Dev are so out of sync. It doesn't even makes sense, why and how it started, the point. the reason. Nothing. nada nulla. Bas aise hi gibberish coz hey they are romancing. 🤔

It is still a better show on Indian TV but writers need to wrap up this cheesefest. Wanna show romance, show something meaningful. And No, I am not asking for adult romance where they have to kiss n all. There can be a lot better meaningful conversation between a 26 & 27 years old gf-bf then what is going on.

All that being said, Supriya is an awesome actress. Ria is another one I like. Others are doing a fine job too.

PS- though, how dare you say you find show boring on TV forum. Tauba tauba. You trp aunty. Go watch naagin. (No logic to that.. but kuch to kehna hai.. coz you found my cheese boring 😆)
