Ok guys, Here's part 2. Thank you for the amazing response. Im overwhelmed. Hope you like this part. Apologies for any mistakes J We have to go a little bit in the past to figure out the future.

*Flashback*

Dev leaned on the railing of his balcony, deep in thought. Dr bose loves me. When did that happen? How could I not notice, Am I that bad at figuring out human emotions? Suddenly he was reminded of his childhood, He had been through so many hardships and had always been so focussed on making it big in the corporate world that somewhere his emotional side was closed up. But, he thought that this side was slowly resurfacing thanks to Sonakshi.. Sharing his problems with her, knowing that there was someone who understood him, supported him and was a guide he was slowly beginning to get in touch with his softer side. Then she dropped this bomb on him. He didn't know what to make of it. When he saw those tears in her eyes, why did he feel so agonised by it? Like he would do anything in this world just to see her smile again.. When she cries, why is it that I get so affected by it.. Kya isi ko pyaar kehte hai? He was engrossed in his own world when his phone beeped. It was Natasha. Oh God Natasha!! He had completely forgotten about her. He was supposed to get married to her. He had not given her a decision as yet, but he knew he didnt have much choice in the matter. He wanted the deal to be done at any cost. After all, he had promised his mother nothing would get in the way of what she wants. And what she wanted was to see her son succeed. Somewhere, his ego was hurt thinking that the gujrals wanted to go ahead with this deal only to get him as a son in law. It spoke about the fact that he didn't bag this deal on the merit of his capabilities. But the businessman in him knew how important this deal was for the future of Ishwari Enterprises.

He picked up the phone."Hello?" "Hello Dev, Hi.. Aap free hai? Coffee ke liye mile?" asked Natasha enthusiastically. "Woh Natasha, Main woh.. "

"Kya hua Dev, Aap ko koi pareshani hai?" "Nai woh.. Kuch nai.. I'll see you at Barista in 15 mins." Natasha was a nice girl. But somehow he couldn't share his innermost feelings with her. They were alike in so many ways. Almost as if they were twins, but it was Sonakshi with whom he didn't have to think twice before sharing his troubles, telling her all about his childhood, pulling her leg, arguing ,letting loose and having fun. With Natasha, he was always conscious about the fact that one wrong statement on his part could cost him the deal he had worked so hard to earn.

He arrived at the coffee shop to see Natasha was already waiting for him. He forced a smile and went to greet her. " Hi Natasha" " O hi Dev, Please sit." Said Natasha.

N: Excuse me waiter, 2 black coffees please

D: Ummm, actually i'll have a juice.

N: Juice, aur aap? I thought you liked black coffee

D: I do, but its not good for health. Im trying to cut back a little.

N: is it

Dev just smiled. He thought, Dr bose would be pretty proud of me right now. If she ever speaks to me again, that is. He had to talk to her. She couldn't just say she loved him and then just walk away like that. He needed to figure out his feelings for her. He may be thick headed but he was not completely dumb. He knew what he felt about sonakshi was more than friendship. But was it enough to be called love? He was lost in these thoughts when he felt natasha's fingers flick in front of his face.

N: Dev, kahan kho gaye? It seems you have something on your mind.

D: Bose

N: Huh?

D: I mean nose. Aap ki naak pe kuch laga hai.

Natasha got conscious. "Kahan?" she asked, grabbing a pocket mirror to check her reflection.

D: Chala gaya

Natasha looked at him strangely. "Kya kar raha dev. Pagal ho gaya hai."Dev thought in his mind.

N: Are you sure you're Ok dev?

D: Actually, I have a little headache. Do you mind if we met some other time?

N: Sure. You take rest. I will see you later.

Saying so, she smiled and left. The waiter brought Orange juice for Dev. He looked at it and smiled, thinking of sonakshi. He tried calling her, but she wouldn't pick up his calls. He left a ton of messages, but to no avail. He was getting very frustrated and restless. He decided to visit her house.

At the Bose household,

Sonakshi had made up an excuse that she had a headache and was going off to sleep. She locked her room and as soon as she turned her back, she broke down crying. For the first time in her life, she had fallen in love. Experienced the beautiful feeling of being head over heels in love. And it had all come crashing down when Dev told her he was marrying Natasha. In the past few months, they had grown close. He used to call her almost everyday after work and tell her about his day. She would tell him about hers. They chatted,argued,laughed,teased each other and sometimes, during some rare moments even shed some tears together, when Dev would tell her about the sacrifices his mom and sister had to make, the pieces of childhood he lost. Her heart went out to him, She would try whenever possible to give him some part of his childhood back. Be it gifting him video games or playing cricket with him and his sisters or telling him stories when he couldn't sleep at night. It was silly, but it worked. No one knew about this other than them. It was their special secret. She knew Dev considered her just a friend, but sometimes she felt it was a little bit more than that.. She would catch him staring at her sometimes when he thought she wasn't looking, how his hand lingered just a little longer than necessary when she fell down while playing cricket and he helped her up.

But it was all in her head. She was stupid to confuse mere friendship with love. ( This song starts playing in the background)

Dev was at the bose house. But sonakshi's dad told him she had gone off to sleep. He knew she wasn't asleep. But she wasn't ready to talk to him. He thought to himself, "Till when will you hide from me sonakshi? Kabhi na kabhi toh baat karni hi padegi tumhe" Thinking this, he left from there.

Sonakshi heard Dev's voice in the hall. She wasn't ready to face him yet. She didn't know if she would ever be. But she had to. She wiped her tears and gave herself a pep talk. You can do this sona. You loved him. If he doesn't love you back, its ok. Its not the end of the world. Aaj jitna rona hai ro le. From tomorrow, He will never see your tears. You wanted to see how love feels right? Heartbreak is also part of the package. Sometimes it lasts in love, sometimes it hurts instead. You have to be strong now, Pick yourself up and move on. If he doesn't feel for you, Its not his fault.'

Thinking this, she entered the kitchen to grab a glass of water. She found her dad there. She quickly dried her tears. She didn't want him to worry. But Bijoy bose was her father after all, he could see right through her. He knew something was bothering her, but he also understood that she didn't wanna talk about it. He gave his darling daughter a big hug and whispered in her ears, " This too shall pass shone beta. Whatever it is, You are strong enough to handle it. I didn't raise a weak spirited girl. You are my tigress. I love you beta." Sona smiled through her tears and whispered " Thank you Baba" "Im always here for you beta. Never forget that."

On hearing her father's words and her personal pep talk, she felt a bit better. She decided she wouldn't let an heartbreak bring her down. With a new resolve in her mind, she picked up the phone.
