Vishal-Shriya in Thoranai

There is a rumour in Kollywood that Selvaraghavan will direct Vishal? next venture. Yes, will direct Vishal in a film, but not Vishal's next.

Vishal? next venture Thoranai with Shriya Saran will be directed by Iyappan and produced by GK Films. Iyappan has assisted Bhupathi Pandian while he directed Vishal in Malaikkottai. It is said that Vishal liked the script very much and accepted the role immediately after Iyappan read it out to him. Shooting for Thoranai, a ?ass entertainer?with a lot of comedy and action, begins in December.

Next, Vishal will act in a film to be directed by Selvaraghavan and produced by Ramesh Babu, who produced films like Pokkiri and Nam Nadu. The filming begins next year after Selvaraghavan completes Aayirathil Oruvan.

The Other End of the Line on October 31st

Shriya Saran? first Hollywood film The Other End of the Line has been completed and is expected to release on October 31st. It is produced by legendary tennis-player-turned-Hollywood-filmmaker Ashok Amrithraj.

The Other End of the Line is an unlikely and interesting romance between an Indian call centre employee who falls in love with a caller from US. She travels all way to US to meet him and a series of interesting incidents ensue. Whether their love triumphs or not remains to be seen in the film.

The film stars Shriya and Jesse Metcalfe (of Desperate Housewives fame) in lead roles. Anupam Kher plays Shriya Saran? father in the film. The promos of this film give one a feeling that this is a very well made film and will do well.

Shriya Saran is one of the busiest actresses in Kollywood. She is there in every important film of Kollywood: Kanthaswamy (Vikram), Jaggubhai (Sarathkumar) and Thoranai (Vishal). She is also reportedly doing a meaty role in Kamal Haasan? Marmayogi. Apart from these she is also working in Deepa Mehta? What? Cooking, Stella? and Ek (Bobby Deol).

Me too, Netz. I would like to see What's cooking Stella too. For a person who cannot lipsync properly, Sherya seems to be a very busy person. So in movie world, you have to have the looks and the body and it works. What about talent? Takes a back seat? 😍

I thought Selvaragavans next was with Surya...🤔 Was looking forward to see him in a new avatar...!

Oh Ghosh..Vishal badly want a hit after his sathyam fiasco...well..I exptected that movie to be a flop since it got media attention until its release😆

My brother strongly recommended that I do not watch Sathyam as it is sooooooooo....... stupid. I think they take some good scenarios and show them in t.v. to give a boost to this movie. My mum said she read in a magazine from India which said Vishal took steriods injections to boost his body figure. This is ridiculous. Don't these guys know the side effect of the steriods and how much harm it could do to their body and their future of bearing children? 😡 The only actors who did not take steroids are Surya, Vikram and Rajni. The rest muscled men took steriods. 😡

Ajith donates Rs.5 lacs to Lankan Tamils?relief fund

After participating in the protest (against the killing of innocent Tamils in Lanka) organized by Nadigar Sangam today, Ajith, the ?ltimate star?of Kollywood, met Chief Minister Dr. Karunanidhi and handed over a cheque for Rs.5 lacs for the Lankan Tamils?relief fund. Ajith also said that he would pray to Almighty to end this crisis soon and return peace to the land.

Accepting Ajith? donation, Chief Minister Dr. Karunanidhi thanked him profusely and blessed him.

It is true. But what they left out from the above story was, initially Ajith refused to donate, when he was asked for donation. When Tamilians abroad heard about it, they boycotted and stopped distributing his movie Aegan in Europe and US. This caused a big loss to Ajith who made a quick turn around and made the donation.

Only Arjun and Ajith refused to donate. The rest of the movie stars made pledges for the plight of Sri Lankan Tamilians.

Caryn - actually it was written in nakkeran magazine that Ajtih and Arjun refused to take part on that protest on saturday, it was not about donating money. Both of them of have denied that,.donno wherever its true or not. but what Caryn told about the rest is true. Anyway..its a cheap publicity to show how much those stars gave, it doesnt matter how much one gives, should only care they are willing to give. 😊

Well my mum got the info from some Indian daily Meli. I do not know which one, and it could be Nakeran coz she buys that. You are right in saying it is cheap publicity. One should caringly give and do it discreetly.

If it is against Ajith's principle to give, then by right he shouldn't. He should have sticked to it.
