Kaveri problem'kaga 1 day unnaviradham by kollywood ppl yaar.Almost all the cine ppl participated including biggies rajni,kamal.i saw in a magazine,simbu & nayantara sat next 2 each other.just curious 2 know more abt that!!!!!

I thought Asin was good in Ghajini in a comic sense, but really not that much scope for the female lead's performance in that movie. So, don't understand how Aamir was spellbound by Asin's portrayal of the Kalpana character.

In general, I think Asin has proven that she can do comedy. It comes naturally for her, while it is irrefutable that some of the other actresses, definitely are not that much at ease with comedy.

Some pics/scenes with her holding the "precious statue" in Dasavatharam tells us that she had to do some emoting. Some scribes suspect, that she could be doing more than 2 roles in the movie. And the audio release as per their website is on Apr.25th. Let's hope at least this time around, they'll stick to this date.

since we're on the topic of ms asin here, i'll also discuss the rise of this pleasant looking but mediocre actress. jenim.. murgadoss actually said that? groundbreaking performance?😆😆😆 er.. which part of asin's performance in 'ghajini' was groundbreaking? it was surya's show through and through and asin's chemistry with surya was what got her the popularity. there was abosolutely NOTHING special in her role, revathy had been doing those kind of bubbly mischeivious roles for eons in kollywood and asin just came off as a rip-off if you ask me.😉

WHAT? aamir khan has to rethink his moves so that his performance can be at par with asin? does murgadoss even realise what he's talking about?😆😆😆 this is aamir khan for heaven's sake. he's probably one of the best actors in bollywood with tons of experience and HE has to rethink his moves before acting with a mediocre actress like asin. also keeping in mind that 'ghajini' is asin's maiden bolly flick.. what a joke!😆😆😆

KS ravikumar has also joined the list of asin fanatics. hmmm.. maybe i'm blind but i definitely didn't see what a 'great' job asin did in 'varalaru'. that movie was ajith's show all the way.👏 asin usually stars in those big bannered top hero films in which the heroine's role is mostly about 30 -45 mins in total screentime including the song sequences.😆😆

meli.. don't say asin hasn't been given the chance to show her full talents yet. wasn't this the very same girl who had rejected 'Mozhi' because it wasn't a big banner film? praise the lord for that because she most definitely could not have weaved the magic jothika weaved on the audiences with her portrayal of archana in 'mozhi'.😊

oh.. skin show eh? asin has been doing that in other languages except tamil i think. i once saw some clips of her in the telugu remake of 'saamy' & she's definitely not the girl-next-door in that film. if asin really wants to expose in bollywood, she better do the neccessary. bollywood isn't exactly welcoming towards healthy actresses.. rani, vidya balan & katrina kaif being exceptions.😊

Agree that most of what you're posting are facts.
And the 2nd paragraph, makes a lot of sense. While I read that most film trade analysts said that Mozhi was a hit as it was, due to good marketing efforts, I didn't know exactly how - esp, about the "timely" release of the movie by Pyramid-Saimira. Jyothika did a good job in most movies, apparently. But unfortunately, "June R" where she's supposed to have given her best, did NOT do well either in India, or outside India. Surely, this proves what you've been trying to say about Mozhi's success due to good marketing vis-a-vis Jyothika's contribution in making this (or any) movie, a hit.

I had just noticed that a thread you had started again on top heroines was closed, without even a moderator's note. I wonder why?

I guess only certain actress(es) are allowed to be """discussed""" in IF, as they are in reality - like the poor Shriya, Trisha or Asin. 😆

In any case, I wouldn't be surprised if this thread is locked again, b'cos you are saying those bad words again. That is, "mozhi was not successful because of jo".

There are a few threads on actresses around here, like you had mentioned, not excluding Shriya, Trisha and the like.

Jenim, I have no idea who closed CL's 2nd topic about heroine, but I wont be surprised if the reason was what we call for "spamming" around as there were only post of CL and links 🤔

I didn't know about that, seriously.. that's why I was wondering why there wasn't a Mod's /viewbie's note? So, is there a script mechanism which actually sees/studies the threads/posts and closes them? If that was the case, then this site is pretty good with spamming.
