I love Chandralekha....Ihave two favourites which I can watch over and over again. One is Uthama Puthiran. (I hate Vadivelu for his Imsai Arasan for ripping off UP). UP is based on The Man in the Iron Mask by Alexandre Dumas). Sivaji was just brilliant.

Second favourite is Thillana Mohanambal, which they are going to show either tonight or tomorrow night. In fact, after Thiruvilayadal, I think it is TM that is another legendary performance.

My third favourite is Vanjikottai Valiban (that dance competition is so excellent that it is legendary even today. Simran and Ramya Krishnan are a poor man's version of Padmini and Vyjanthimala. Incidentally, do you all know why the chandelier came crashing down at the end of the scene? Padmini was supposed to win the contest but Vyjanthimala objected as she herself is an exponent in dance and did not want to be seen as a loser. But obviously her character, being a baddie, could not win the dance contest. So the director reached a compromise. The chandelier comes crashing down, effectively ending the contest and no one wins or loses - it's a draw.

I must admit that I like Vyjanthimala's lines better (she's feisty) - sadhulayam sollathe di, en salangaikku bathil solladi, naduville vanthu nillu di, nadaiyile solladi. 😳

Kadambari, I bet at least one song of Dasavatharam will begin with Himesh's trade mark.'oooooooooooooooooooo'.But he has given good melodies too; as in Tere Naam.

If Asin is showing acting powers which even amazes Aamir Khan, I wonder why she didn't show it down here. She's not a bad actress, but Murugadoss's words surprises me.I mean, what is there so much to enact out in Ghajini from Asin's part, except when Kalapana gets murdered?

Asin won't retrn? Hopw it doesn't become 'neither here nor there' for her

Ditty, I just think she never get a chance to show her acting skills, so fare we have only seen her on bubbly characters like ghajini, sivakasi, maaja, pokkiri, alwar, valaraaru etc. she havent shown us any varierity so fare..I hope atleast Dasaavathaaram will be something different. I slo heard she is showing a little bite of her skin on ghajini hindi version 😉

Dasaavathaaram audio was supposed to release first week of april, but cause of the mess producers Oscar Ravichandran did, its getting delayed 😕

Meli, how can she prove her acting skills when she rejects all the beautiful roles that come her way? 😆 She's doing a double role in Dasavathaaram, hope thts up to the mark.

Guys, only yesterday i realised something big happen in cinema industry on 2 april. They were having some sort of gathering protesting something. Can someone tell me what exactly happen??? I manage to watch suntv news last night towards the end and only manage to watch the last part. Missed the begining of the story. Netra , the protest was against the Hogenakkal issue-who owns the river-Tamil Nadu/Karnataka.Similar to the Cauvery river issue. The Kannada ppl assaulted some Tamilians at a cinema hall and the Tamil actors, upset over the way the industry is targetted, went ona hunger strike yesterday. Sarath kumar had announced that no film shooting/nothing connected ot Tamil cinema will take place on Friday. All actors were there, (I didn't see Vikram and some others), and Rajnikant, of Kannada origin, too joined in.It was said that any actor who didn't take part would face serious problem.Those who were abroad too were asked to participate.
