Ekta - 'Kajol is overrated'

Ok I understand that you have your own taste and you like Rani...fine with me I also like Rani but how can you put the other great actress down just because -

You have a big mouth

Kajol won't even look in your direction ever.

Kajol would be Ekta who?

I did not like the way she said it.

And anyways Karan should stop asking this question over and over and over again ..Who ios better actress Rani or Kajol.

Talk about Priyanka or Rani as they both are working as of now...Kajol retired for five years and is married. She left when she was at the peak of her career..how many of th eactress have guts to do that. Even Madhurimarried when her career was on downslide and she was 36 years old.

Kajol if she were in still actively working then Rani would not have got all those good movies from Yash raj Banner.

I really respect Kajol as she respects her husband and kid and family.

No offence but i also always though that kajol is overrated. Most of her hits are usually with SRK though there are some rare hits with others e.g. Fanaa.

And i dont think anyone could say 'ekta who?' just like noone could say 'kajol who?'

I agree Ekta is great self made woman an dI really like her but it is in the questioning of Karan that makes the situation bad.

Then you have to call SRK overrated too as he had hits with Yashraj and KAran only....and what about Rani - Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Yash raj, KAran....See what happened to Babul, Paheli etc. Kajol has - Bajigar, KAran Arjun, Gupt, Dillagi, Pyar to hona hi tha, Ishq etc which are hits...

But the thing is that Kajol is not overrated but she has particular movies that she loves to do..she is selective...

Kajol is overrated. She was more populer because of SRK and Karan. Otherwise look at her initial movies no major hits . She was not considered talented but as soon as she paired with SRK everyone thinks she is so talented.

kajol is over-rated and i agree with ekta. everyone waiting for kajol to work with srk and karan, because people love her with them. i don't think rani was ever over rated. she worked very hard to become a successful and talented actress. i started to like her from the very first movie. she's a beautiful actress and should be very careful when choosing the roles. i found it very weird that rani did black and was blind but kajol also later did a blind girl, it's like copying rani. no offence to anyone. Many doesn't know when rani came to the industry, she and her family was going through bad time financially and i read the rumours that kajol treated rani very badly in KKHH sets. no one ever thought rani would be considered top actress but she do now. if ekta said kajol is over rated, it's her honest opinion and pointing or blame ekta is wrong.

Rani, in spite, of being younger in the industry as compared to Kajol, has done more diverse roles that Kajol has. Although, this does not mean that Kajol is overrated.
I can't recollect who, but someone said that Kajol is a natural actor whereas Rani is a brilliant actor, which makes them both great in their own way!
And, as for Ekta saying Kajol is overrated, who cares! And that's her opinion but she should not say this about such a famous celebrity on an open platform. Rani, Kajol and Ekta are all successful women and they should be respected by each other. I respect Ekta for being so frank but they way she said it set many people off!

Everyone has their opinion and ekta felt that kajol is over rated, nothing is bad saying that. It was her honest opinion. There could be more episodes where guests could and had said frank opinions, like kareena said john is expressionless, bipasha stating kareena has too many expressions. Some people don't like to hide things and want to show themselves as what they and that's what exactly ekta did. There is nothing to be kajol fans to be hurted, because it was just a person opinion. We all should know how ekta nature is very open and honest.
