I didn't want get started on this but what do you mean Except for Black? First, name me any other actor who could have done Black the same way rani did.
Her acting in Black is a good enough representation in itself showcasing her talent.
And are u like serious to be asking abt what ELSE rani did? Fine, go watch KKHH, Heyram, Saathiya, Humtum, Yuva, BnB, Tarampum, Chori chori chupke chupke....

I've state this before tht rani and kajol belong to 2 different "generations" of actors. The comparison is unfair. Both are good. I love Rani's voice and i think she has made her voice work.

But i find it really unfair for u to put down Rani or her voice coz it doesn't even have ANY RELATION to the topic.

Kajol has always been my fav. Actor since DDLJ. Initial days were tough for her coz she did not exactly have the drop-dead-gorgeous looks and NOT becoz she was a bad actor. Even some Kajol fans will agree with me that Kajol was never that pretty as she is now.

And this was the reason why she had to struggle. But with the makeover in DDLJ, it was an obvious reason why she was considered one of the best actresses in the 90s.. As far giving hits with primarily srk and Kjo go, yes.. I agree her most memorable movies were with them. But she's an intelligent lady n if it works for her, so why not?

As far as Ekta's opinion goes, its perfectly alright. She is entitled to her opinion and I admire her daring open nature. Ekta's opinion is not a fact and will not change my preference for Kajol. So, to me it really doesn't make a difference. And it shouldn't make a difference for kajol fans too.

And why in the world is Rani always dragged into this?? Rani and Kajol belong to two different (if I may say so,nearly) "generation" of actors. Rani and Preity came in MUCH later, when Kajol was already an established star. To me, it's awfully unfair to Rani coz Kajol has the evident experience and its unfair to Kajol, coz at this point of time, Rani is at the peak of her career. The whole comparison is almost baseless.

If you guys really wanna know whether kajol is really overrated, she should be compared to her contemporaries.
Like Karisma Kapoor, Manisha Koirala, Raveena Tandon, Shilpa Shetty and Juhi Chawla. That would be fair and relatively justified. And we can then really see whether she's really overrated ..

As some people have said before... stop comparing rani and Kajol... Both are awesome actors... and den both belongs to two different generations of acting... Rani started seeing her gud times only a few yrs back (aftr hum tum)... and she has got a loong loong way to go... Kajol had established herself even before rani came into the industry... Comparison is very unfair... and I think Karan should stop asking these kind of questions...

Let him continue comparing aamir, srk and salman... they are frm the same generation... or compare madhuri, and juhi... amitab bachan and sashi kapoor... leave rani and kajol alone Karan...

I like both Kajol, and Rani, and I think it's wrong to compare them, as Kajol has already alots of experiances, and Rani still has a long way to go....

I don't think ne1 in da industry is overrated...it's the audience that watches these films and makes people and movies hits! most of the people who said that kajol is overrated are the ones that go to the theatres and make her movies hits! and then they also give her credit for good acting! sooooo the point is that people should stop criticizing things like abhi-ash wedding and useless stuff like that and actually look into other things that matter!

As far as I am concerned, SRK's is early films bazigar, karan arjun and DDLG r all hits with Kajol. so how has she become more popular because of SRK?? Both of them were starting their careers when they did those movies. Then the same applies to Shahrukh. As for Karan, before doing Kuch Kuch Hota Hain, Kajol give hits like Dushman, pyar to hona hi tha, hum aapke dil main rahta hain. so now tell me how is she popular bcs of Karan? Learn to respect people's work and know your stats before commenting.

As for comparison between Rani and Kajol, I think Kajol is not even her generation, so it is like comparing two actresses of two generations and everyone can have their own opinions about that. Ekta should think how much overrated she herself is before commenting on anybody else.

Ekta has no right to say that infact she should be asked how many of her serials have original storyline.
All her serials are very very overrated and i dont understand how people can watch the same storyline over and over again..........

i say ekta who? as i didn't know her until i saw this kwk episodes.....i am not into serials much......and not it is like that whole india is into serials....especially not everyone can afford zee and other channels....but ppl can afford to watch movies in cheap theatres, so obviously a majority of ppl will know kajol than ekta.......and even high class ppl, don't watch serials.....as they don't have time to watch it.....mainly women do.......and they are not the whole world.......women men kids everyone watch movies......
