Part 12
The glaring eyes of Mr Sharma were looking at Arjun who was standing quiet calm and composed. Rajveer, Rashi and Arohi were standing beside the dinning table. The used dishes from the breakfast they just finished before Mr Sharma's arrival were still at their place. "I knew you couldnt have wait ...Dont you think the our wedding pictures in today's newspaper were great...You definitely made our weddings a memorable one Grandfather-in-law". Arjun smirked while Akshay just threw away the newspaper in anger. "I will never forget this humiliation ever Arjun...You...You all will pay for it". He pointed at everyone present their at the time. Aryan, who went to check on Shaina after breakfast emerged on hearing sound from outside and sigh. "Damn, I missed on some action" He mumbled. Shaina too heard Akshay's voice and came out. Her eyes full of hope as he called him out. "Grandpa" Her steps moved forward only to found her wrist get held by Aryan's hand who kept her in place.She tried to break free but couldn't. Akshay just glared at Aryan before looking back at Arjun with hatred. "Let her go Arjun". He warned. "No way Mr. Sharma...Why should I let her go when I know, you will do the same thing with her what you have done with Arohi till now...That is to make her a putty of your hands" He spatted the words while moving closer to him. "You know father-in-law...I pity you...I truly deeply pity you...What huge kind of plans you hand in your mind just two days back...Business expansion, merger...fame, high name...progress..." Arjun looked at him while pacing around him. "But see, where are you standing now...You are standing now as a looser who has not only loose a part of his business but now is going to loose the trust of his grand daughter too...ROY" He called out his bodyguard who emerged from the door. "How dare you talk like this with my grandpa" Shaina struggled more in anger but Aryan didn't relent. Roy came forward holding a CD that he carefully put in the CD player. The voice boomed from the speaker turned everyone silent.
"Good catch Sharma...I still can't believe you got your grand-daughter engaged to Punj Boy...Man! he is an emerging rich bachelor...
Their was a sound of 'tink'...Cheers to you and your sharp mind" Shaina and Arohi's ears perked up as this was the voice of Akshay's only friend and business partner, Mohit Suri. "Haha...We businessman have to be extra smart Suri...though this time the price I have to pay is my grand-daughter but then, all is fair to get success...isn't it?" Aryan felt Shaina's moment still as they heard this and looked at her with concern. "Yes...Shaina was always your trump card...She is beautiful enough to catch a millionaire's eye". "That she is...But she was not my trump card in this deal...The deal got sealed by that lil step grand daughter of mine...
a sound of Gulp before the glass was placed on the glass table with a tink sound... You know I always thought that marrying that Smriti was the biggest mistake of my son's life...I never accepted her...still I haven't...But then she came to me, offering me a partnership in her father's business...It valued in millions then too...She made me the care taker of the business with the promise that I willn't push Taran away...that I will take care of her daughter...But that sharp woman, she though made me a partner but left all the rights on the name of that Arohi...Only if I had known it earlier, I would have kicked both mother daughter out from my house" His voice was angry that sent shivers down Arohi's body who was standing at a corner. Rashi went to her and hold her. All the meanwhile, Arohi's gaze was fixed on the man, to get whose love was the main aim of her life. Was he this heartless! She wondered. "But Sharma, as per will, Arohi will have the right to get hold of her business as she will turn 25. Are you ready to take a chance right now by getting her married...Its just 3 months away" Mr Suri warned but they heard Akshay's laugh. "Do you think I am a risk taker...I have already took her sign on the transfer papers...Now, no matter whomever she marries, the property will come to me" and their laughter echo in the room till Arjun switched of the player. Akshay gulped down his saliva and looked at Arohi and Shaina who were looking back at him with haunted eyes.
"You know Mr Sharma...what is the biggest disadvantage of being illiterate" Arjun motioned Roy once again who bring a file from the drawer..."Now, don't ask me how I know that you have only passed your 8th...the biggest disadvantage is that you follow what others tell you...Your lawyer took a handful of amount to make these papers" he opened the file and showed the contents to Akshay who's eyes open widely. They were a copy of the transfer papers signed by Arohi. "He made you believe that the property will be transferred on your name by having Arohi's signature but either he forgot to mention or you forgot to think that after marriage, a girl is known by her husband's name..." He smirked as Akshay seemed like he saw a ghost. He took a shaky step back and ran his hand in his grey hairs. "This girl standing here is no longer Arohi Sharma...She is Arohi Arjun Punj...My wife...She will be known by this name after yesterday and that itself nullifies these paper as they have been signed by Arohi Sharma, not AROHI ARJUN PUNJ " Arjun came close to his face and looked daggers at him. "And just yesterday, I had promised in front of many eye witnesses along with the biggest witness, God, that I will protect her interests...I will take care of all her rights and will not let anyone harm her...If you must remember...and I am going to stand by my words Mr. Sharma" Akshay's hazy eyes looked at Arjun to see the determination. Arohi took a step back and leaned against the wall while Shaina too look at Akshay with a blank look. "Now that you have heard my part, Let me tell you one more thing...You dare do one thing against us and the next moment I am going to police with this record...and then you better know what kind of strong case I will have...Your company shares will fall down...You fame, your name will go in dustbin...Now all is your choice..." Arjun smirked as Shaina just glared at Akshay and left for her room, banging the door at her back while Rashi made Arohi sit on the table. Akshay's whole self was shaking badly as he gave one last angry look to the people around and left with the rushed steps. "Roy, keep this with yourself safely...better make some copies...we can't risk anything at this point" Roy nodded and left. Aryan gave a concerned look to Arohi and then look at Arjun mouthing, "Go, talk to her". Arjun nodded and took a deep breath before he went to her with slow steps. Rashi moved back as she felt that they need some privacy and took Rajveer away.
Arohi was looking down, feeling too low of herself. The one aim she was having of her life till now, seemed so baseless. A tear traced down her cheek before falling on her entwined hands. Arjun sadly looked at her before he filled up a glass of water from the jug, placed on the dinning and put it forward to her. When she didn't make a move to have it, Arjun hesitantly took hold of one of her hands and made her hold the glass and took it too her mouth. She looked at him with hollowness as he nodded, silently asking to take a sip. She gulped down some before putting the glass away. Arjun sit down on hunches and held her hands just hoping she willn't back away and she didn't. "Arohi...I wanted to tell you everything before...but..." Before he could say anything, a sob left her mouth and then she was silently crying. Her head shook in No as if to making herself understand that things are not what they seemed but on the other hand she knew, whatever she heard was real. "Shhh...calm down" Arjun rubbed her hands, he was holding and tried to console it. In two days, everything of her life was turned upside down. She was bound to have an emotional breakdown. Arjun so wanted to console her, hold her preciously in her arms, run his fingers in her hairs just to feel their smooth texture and to make her feel calm but he couldn't. He knew himself. He will not be able to stop himself to touch her all over, to know, to feel if she is as soft as he dreamed the whole last 11 years. The hunger was too strong for him to test his self control. "Arohi...Please...stop" He said only to hear her hiccup that only increased the hold of his on her hands. "From...From the last few years, all...all I wanted to make yself good enough to earn his love...Grandfather's are supposed to love their grandchildren, aren't the Arjun?...Mom...Mom always told me that he will love me one day if I will be good to him...She kept telling me that I...I should respect him...One day...One day he will accept me...But..." She sniffled. Arjun heart broke on seeing her so torn. He raised his hand to wipe her cheek, first the left then right one with his middle fingers. "Am I bad to be loved Arjun...Don't I deserve happiness" She babbles on. "Shhh...shhh Arohi...You are a very generous and a good person...Probably you deserve happiness more than anyone from us...You were just too good for them..." He spoke honestly. Arohi looked deep into his eyes as he nodded in affirmation of his words. "Come on now...Stop crying...you will dehydrate yourself" He stood up and made her stand up holding her arms to move towards the stairs. He brought her to Rashi's room and made her lay in bed as she acted like a doll. Emotionally, she was a wreck right now and so held on to any string of hope, of support she got. He covered her with the blanket and patted her head. "Now go to sleep Arohi..." and just like that she closed her eyes. Being exhausted from a sleepless night and crying, she didn't have to wait long to went into deep slumber. Arjun once again corrected the blanket and giving a last longing look, left the room. He ran his hands through his hairs perfectly knowing that its not the end of her anger with him.
Shaina was sitting motionless on the one seater of her room. Aryan came inside a few mins later just to see that everything from the last night disaster by Shaina was still scattered around. "Wifey, I think you hadn't heard me last night..." He turned around to look at her only to be left spellbound. Shaina was wiping her tears with the back of her hand which were falling freely on her cheeks. Concerned he get close and bend down to look. "Hey...why are you crying?" Shaina was mentally ready for another taunted reply but when he didn't say anything further, she surprisingly looked up to see general concern in his eyes. She gave out a sarcastic laugh and turned away. "What a luck isn't it? Till last hour, you were trying your best to make my life a living hell while I was looking up for support of the one, I thought I knew and loved the most. And now here, you are showing me concern while he hurt me, used me in the worst possible way..." Aryan's heart melted seeing her state. The girl who was not broken by a forced kiss last night was now broken by the trust, she had on someone. He took place of the other one seater and leaned against it. "You know Shaina...Life treat us in the most unpredictable way...When we believe that we know a person completely, it turn out that we have been barely seen his true side ever...and the ones who loved us immensely, we ignore them only to find ourselves been standing at the same place as them one day" He hinted as Shaina looked up at him. "See when my 2nd wife was standing in the court, demanding for a divorce, I promised myself to never get into this serious kind of relationship and now, I am sitting here happily married to you" He took a deep sigh. "Happily? You are happy with this marriage?" She asked stunned. "You might not believe...But I am...and I am eager to make this work this time" He spoke earnestly. Shaina looked stunned into his eyes for few moments before averting it hesitantly. She feared to lost herself in them then. "I..." She licked her dry lips. "I want to meet my parents one time" Aryan knew pretty well why she diverted the topic but decided to play along. "OK...I will take you to meet them but only on one condition" Aryan put forward his demand. "I knew it...You men always think through a business mind..." She said disgustingly only to see his anger rising up. He bend forward with a frown and said in a pure serious tone. "Atleast I don't sell people on a price" and Shaina felt a shiver on his cold tone. She gulped her saliva before asking him. "What...what is the condition?". Aryan leaned back and putting his elbows on the armrest, entwined his fingers. "My condition is that you willn't create a scene out there and will return back with me to your home, here, like a good wife". "I agree". Shaina replied quickly and got up to get ready but was stopped by his voice. "I have one other condition". He stood up too and crossed his hands on his chest. "But you..." Seeing his raised brow, she stopped saying anything further. "Ok...what it is?" He took two steps forward and was now standing at an arm length before he spoke. "You will have to do whatever I will ask you to" Feeling his proximity and his deep black eyes on herself, she shuddered and took a step back. Her eyes were wide open in shock before she quickly recover and said. "Ok...I will do anything but only if you promise to not touch me" She said in a whisper and saw his smirk. She was affected by him and it gave a great pleasure to him. "Don't worry wifey...I promise to not touch you till you yourself willn't ask me to" The twinkle in his eyes assured her that one day, he will make her say it. She was lost in her thoughts as he clicked his fingers infront of her eyes to make her get back to reality. "Wifey..." He smiled knowingly as she growled and marched away saying "In your dreams" only to hear him laughing at the back saying "Oh their you almost begged me to do it". She banged the door hardly not to let him see how his meaningful remarks work on her body.
Around the evening, Arohi woke up with hazy eyes and decided to took a breather. So much has happen in such a small time that has really made her feel suffocated. Just few days back, her life was moving with such a normal pace. She was doing her masters, even against her grandpa's permission and was engaged to a man, she choosed. But just then her best friends, whom she had missed all through the years, appear and took her with a surprise. Definitely, she was missing and looking up for that ease factor, that sharing compatibility she had with Arjun and Rashi all through her life but she never knew that her pray to have them back will turn her life upside down. She was betrayed by them. And if it would have been she would have forgiven but why they pull Shaina in between, she still don't know and understand. Shaina, the only person whose existence made her life something bearable even after hearing constant taunts by her Grandpa. She remember, how she used to crib for a sibling after she came to Dehradun with Smriti. She had asked it once to her, "Mom, why don't I have a brother or sister...Arjun and Rashi had each other, even Shaina is having Suhani...Why I don't have one?" and then, Smriti used to pat her head lovingly before saying. "Who said you don't have a sister...see Shaina is your sister...She is here away from her parents but you have me, right...Shaina has a younger sister to protect but she don't have an elder one who could protect her. So willn't you be that elder sister and love her, protect her" And just that discussion has made Arohi believe that she has to protect Shaina. Shaina though was demanding and irritating sometimes,
Arohi thought with a smile, But then sisters have the right to tease and be demanding with their elder ones. Arohi knew, whenever Shaina had a secret, a crush, a boyfriend, she would share with her and she had shared. She had confided in her many times about things that even Grandpa never get to know about her. So doesn't this make her special for her. Is blood the only way to be connected with another person?. But right then, her chain of thoughts were roke as she heard her name being called out outside loudly.
Arjun was discussing something over the phone with his managers in Delhi when he heard Arohi's name being called out outside. Curiosity got better of him as he came out and saw a boy around 24-25 being standing outside in the garage along with 2 other people and was calling out. "See man, I need to meet Arohi...She is my..." But before he could complete, Arjun watched Arohi walking almost running outside to envelope that boy in a bear hug. "Dhruv" He heard her calling out as Dhruv's finger dipped in her hairs to caress them while other just held her back in support with a bright smile on his face. All Arjun could feel right then was a severe kind of anger rising up in his body. The girl, he had loved and prayed for all his life was standing in someone's else arms. This was surly not bearable to him and he will see to it that no one, no one ever dare touch her way more than formally. A hug is a long lost case then.

P.S.S: I know Aryan Shaina track is getting included too much but just keep calm. Further more you will see lots and lots of Arjun-Arohi scenes and romance
