Scene25: Romit tortured for confession
Meanwhile in police station Romit interrogation continues.
Rajveer says "Your dear brother threatened us that if we spill a drop of your blood he will destroy this station. Poor fellow, RPS has always got him released before he reached torture chambers and hence does not know various methods we use to torture. But you do not have RPS to get you released early using influence as he also is a guest at our station. No problem, we will teach you the various methods indeed not teach but use the various methods on you and if you go back home ever from this jail alive please tell your dear brother Arjun Singhania that police can torture even without drop of blood falling from the criminal".
And they torture him badly using electric shock and using water hose etc. Rajveer tells continue torture till he confesses and no food for next 2 days. Romit unable to bear the torture faints and they go and throw him in his cell. Next day again he is interrogated badly and faints again. He refuses he has done any mistake and does not admit to any fault.
RPS can hear his screams and cannot bear to think what they are doing with him. RPS now even more furious at Alhuwaliah and family for torturing Romit. He is upset and calls Rajveer and asks him to stop torturing Romit because his enemity is with RPS and not others of his family. Rajveer tells him that will happen only if he signs the confession paper.
RPS thinks and says he is fine with signing the confession. He writes a confession telling he alone is responsible for Arohi supari to save Romit from torture. He thinks that he will handle confession part in court saying he did it to save Romit from torture. Police officer tells him that only if he signs a confession telling he and Arjun were involved and they together planned attack on Arohi and made someone give Supari from Romit cell will they stop the torture. RPS says he will not pull his other family members including Arjun in this case to save Romit. Police officer goes and tells this to Rajveer and Rajveer says that he will think whether to accept that signed confession because he wants Arjun name in case.
Romit meanwhile is again thrown back in the cell all alone at night without food for second day. He starts crying in that cell thinking of how protective his family had brought him up and not exposed him to cruelties of the world.
Here he goes into flashback. Him falling from bicycle and refusing Rashi didi to apply medicine as kid, Arjun and Michael trying to remove his fear of bicycle and trying to make him use it again but he not ready to do it at any cost, how his parents and siblings fuss over him if he had fever/unwell by staying awake whole night beside his bed till he was fine, once he had gone on a trip and returned 4 hours late in school and RPS was livid. He starts feeling very hungry and remembers how Rashi and Arjun would give their share of his favorite dishes from their plate and how he had never gone hungry ever in his entire life and always got everything before he asked. Its already morning by the time he has come out of his thoughts and police come and take him to interrogation chamber again. He hopes Arjun will get him out as soon as possible or he may not survive such torture for long. He is unable to walk with hunger and torture and police constables have to support him till the interrogation room.
