Why not just admit it?!

lol I'm talking about saying that "Yeah the show's based on Jeffery Archer's book, Kane and Abel!"
The plotline is following the plotline of the book. the characters have similar characteristics. the story is definitely heading the same way as in the book. Then why not admit that it is based on the book.

Nothing's wrong in saying that the show's an Indian adaptation of the book, is there? 😆

anyhoo, this is just some random post.😃

Ramy: Even I was wondering about the same. Why don't they give the due credit.

@An, exactly! that way there won't be any chance of anyone calling the show a "copy".
ahem ahem, doesn't "Remake" sound better than "copy" anyhow?😆

ok am not a regular viewer of the show bt have read and LOVED the novel..and the one episode i caught was of the mum dying due to the miscarriage which btw has been a TOTAL scene-by-scene lift frm the novel..if the production house can do justice to the novel thn by all means go ahead, since the storyline is fantastic, and coz this is one book which got me hooked onto jeffrey archer as an author..and yes,no point denying the fact tht this is a copy or an adaptation of the novel..we never give credit where its due..

I agree its an adaptation of Kane and Able, the only difference being that it is set in partition time. I too feel they should give credit to the original author at least by saying "inspired by the novel...... ". Intelligent readers will immediately know from where it is taken so whats the problem if they admit it. Btw The novel was simply superb. It is one of the best works of J. A. Even the adaptation is very good. i like the show a lot and they are doing a very good job with it. Hope it continues in the same way. I ama great fan of YRF since I saw Powder and I follow both their shows. Kismet and Khottey Sikkey. Both are lovely shows.

May be because of copy right issues.
