1: does hc have a really nice looking face (by the standards of international ads):

2: does our show have intelligent actors who know how to do normal people expressions compared to other shows?

yes -- 3 (vibha, mishail, thephworld)
no -- 0
don't know -- 2? (raksha, tania)
want to know -- 1 (me!)

ooooh, our show looks like it clearly has intelligent actors.

about hc's face being truly a thing of beauty seems to be facing some problems. hmmm. i know beauty is in the eye of the beholder. but somehow.... something about that face is irresistably gorgeous whether hc is prem or not.

maybe it's that it is too bold, too striking? i mean, the ad is only using the face to sell something else. if the face itself is too engrossing, maybe the person who sees the ad only notices the face and not what the poster is trying to sell??? hmm, good reason for not using hc's face on ads then -- lots of swooning people, but no sales! 😆

last week walking in singapore airport, surrounded by huge posters on all sides that were selling things using the faces of guys and gals, it struck me that the hc face is more ... well .. more beautiful than all of them. Estee.........
is it just my .. er .. deep hatred for the prem character that makes me think so? I dont know that if its your deep love.........sorry, hatred.......that makes you think that Harshad is handsome. But I for one, initially thought of him as just a decent looking guy, who is very well-mannered. Then, after he took up the role of Prem, I just started thinking of him as..........sooooooo handome. For me, the attitude of Prem made his physical appearance more pronounced. Now, I think I will find him hansome in any other serial as well.

or is there something genuinely true about thinking it's a striking face? He has a very striking feature, yes. His face gives you the vibes of him being the most decent, polished manner guy. It feels like he respects everyone, even the people who are non-existent for him.

i want to know.

second, when they show people on this show, their faces do not have their mouths half open! that is such a relief!! seriously!

when i used to watch ksbkbt, it used to drive me crazy to see that everyone - guys, gals! - would be standing around with their mouths partially open. like they were breathing through their nose and their mouth. on this show, prem-heer and everyone else, normally stand with their mouths shut -- like they can breathe easily enough through their nose.
is it just that the sets for shows now have better ventilation? or were the earlier shows just filled with people with breathing problems? or was it a expression "style" earlier -- 'cause people in movies do it too. or do the actors on our show just know what a normal expression is? .......you noticed that!!!! Oh well, sometimes I have my mouth slightly open in awe by saying Prem or Preet, and most of the times my mouth is open in utter disbelief or angry swearing when Lallu come on the screen, so I really didnt notice them having their mouths closed.

I think they know normal expressions...............they do not act and just prefers to keep their reactions similar to what they would have if it were real life.

i want to know! 😆

After having read this, I believe that you truly must have been really bored to come up with something like this...not because of your first observation, but your second...

I have always maintained that his face is very very beautiful. I don't think I've yet used "handsome" in describing his face (not that its not), but the first adjective that comes to mind when describing his face has always been "Beautiful". Partial credit definitely goes to the many expressions of that one face (see HC's FC #23 for proof).

He just has Wonderful Features. The strong jaw-line, as you mentioned yesterday, the eyes with their in your face fan of naturally voluminous lashes....that KILLER smile with the unbelievably PERFECT teeth (so perfect that I can't help but wonder if they're real 😆)...AND, If you've seen his avatars nix the facial hair, his skin is flawless...it has this natural glow about it....oh yea, and theres that inherent sweetness that I was talking about that always comes across. [dreamy face here]

is it just my .. er .. deep hatred for the prem character that makes me think so?
or is there something genuinely true about thinking it's a striking face? lol "hatred"...no dear, its not your hatred...its just one more item to add to his list of many attributes. Its definitely a face that grabs your attention in a crowd - one that stands out. - Again, I think, mainly because of the inherent sweetness...and the eyelashes. 🥰

I can't believe you watch a show that closely, that minutely that you actually notice such things. Anyway, yes, it is annoying, so thank God Premeer and the rest don't stand around w/ their mouths open...though, now that I really think about it, I feel I may have seen Ullu do it on more than one occasion.

I agree...HC as Ali has a striking face mainly because of his innocence, HC as Akshat has a striking face because of his sweetness, HC as Prem has a striking face because of his intensity....but through them all, HC the person shines through and that inherent sweetness shines through...I think thats what really makes it "striking" or strikingly different from the rest.

BUT..I am going to be unbiased too and say that no HC does not have a beautiful face. Before siddy and gang raise their sandals..hear me out 😆

HC has a chiseled rugged look which is perfect on him...So no..HC is not beautiful. He's just rugged manly perfection.

hey, it's a serious question! i was seriously worrying that i was surrounded by big-big pictures of supposedly good-looking guys on these ads, and i was ... totally bored! yawning! actually, i think handsome is a surface thing. this guy's got (what my mother calls) good bones? it's like handsome dries up and becomes sad in old age. but good bones are interesting even in old age. i think hc's face has the "good bones" striking looks. handsome is like .... ralph fiennes? good bones is like ... keanu reeves - and hc! 😆

of course, all just im-silly-ho.

and of course, it maynot be something that ad agencies might want. so your sense of "not handsome" might be the right answer to my question of whether hc's face is "good looking by international ad standards". hmm....

it's okay for us to have open mouths -- either at prem-heer's beauty or laluchacha's irresponsibility! but not for the people in the show!

i'm beginning to think i'm weird -- it used to hit me like a rock in other serials. i used to rage to be able to reach out and close their mouths!

but you are on the side of "our show having intelligent actors". hmm, that's another "no" for hc's face and "yes" for the intelligence of our actors. hmmmm....

i agree with you on the difference between handsome vs. good-looking/beautiful. but i also like what you give credit for that beauty to -- it's the expressions that hc is capable of churning out!

unlike the expensive ads, where the faces have to be expressionless. something that i can't imagine hc's face being without. everything that makes it beautiful is his eyes speaking or that face reacting.

hmmm, lovely way of thinking about beauty... very lovely.

y'know? that's true. i was wondering when someone was going to bring up this about prem's skin! 😆 heer's face sometimes shows the trauma of being under make-up - although very rarely. prem -- has it been never??? 😆

(i think after this, i'm going to sign up for some exorcism sessions -- i have to get this evil spirit that keeps me up late night dissecting an actor's features up out before school starts. else i am dead!!)

about sweetness -- that's what melissa refers to as well!! i just don't see that!!

i see: mobility of his expressions. i see an equal capability to display mad intense passion. and quiescent childlike happiness. i can see him as a lover. a priest. a soldier. a spy. a thief. a murderer. anything and everything that might require a fire in the eyes -- good fire, bad fire doesn't matter.

when i first started watching prem passionately, the first part that i wanted to see him in was heathcliffe in wuthering heights. oh, i sooo badly still want to see him in that role! seriously! (day-dreaming emoticon, where is it??)

chiseled, i'm with you on. with that jawline, chiseled is inevitable. for me, jawline with those eyebrows (defined, strong) makes chiseled inevitable. include the setting of his eyes and you're closer to perfect.
