There is no new thread in this forum for last two days. I think it is not good if we want to keep this forum active. My previous thread about ethnicity and nationality got some responses. We learned how ethnically diverse is our forum. Therefore I think about opening this thread to increase forum activity.
SO, Deshian what is your religious faith?

Hindu - no particular deity as such multi deities and also family is secular so our parents are very tolerant to all religions and open to celebrate festivals of many different faiths. Also visit places of worship too - my father has always been that way so long as I've known him.

Thanks for responding.
As for me
I am a muslim but I am not religious in my personal life at all. My whole immediate family are not so religious like me.
Some of our extended family though is Orthodox, one or two ultra orthodox, and it always created some tension whenever we meet them in family functions.
My father always got angry after arguing with his one ultra orthodox cousin in family functions.

Great to know your family is so broad minded.
I always celebrate every festivals be it Eids,Durga puja,Diwali,Christmas,Holi,Ester, etc.
Just because I can't join in religious act of the some festivals that does not mean I will keep myself away from enjoying these festivals.
I am also blessed with friends from different religious background who are open minded about celebrating all the festivals.

I celebrated diwali by watching movies, partying in my friend house and lightning some diyas.
For me you don't have to be Muslim to feel happiness in Eid.
You don't have to be Hindu to feel happiness in Diwali.
You don't have to be Christian to feel happiness in Christmas.
You just need a heart to feel happiness with others.

Is this even relevant? 😆

To answer your question...I'm a Muslim. I love and respect everyone, and have friends and family members from all faiths and walks of life.. As humans...we are more similar than we are different. If we all came to that realization...the world would be a better place.

Yes, it is not relevant but it is good to know about each other.
Yes the world will become a good place if we understand it.

I'm Muslim. My religion teaches me to respect everyone. I have many friends, colleagues or even in my family which have different views, but this is not really a problem for me.
