CHAPTER-55
JUNEJA HOUSE
Preet came up with a solution which was truly appreciated by all of the family members except for Lalit but then they didn't care. Heer was told about the bua and her plan. They made her agree to execute their plan which will surely backfire the bua's plan. Initially Heer didn't agree but with a lot of pursuasion from Gayatri and Gauri she gave her approval. She decided to call Prem and tell him the details but he was busy in work. She knew that he was trying to finish his work so that he can come back soon so she didn't try much.
CANADA
Prem was busy for the next two days trying to finishing off the work as soon as possible. He hardly had time to eat and sleep let alone call up home and talk to Heer. He sometimes did wonder why wasn't he getting any calls from Heer too.
JUNEJA HOUSE
Finally after two days of planning and organising things the day for action came. Firstly Heer was very nervous and added on to that she had a weird feeling. She called up Prem several times but no answer. Later she got too engrossed in dealing things that she didn't get time.
CANADA
Yug helped him to wrap up all the work. He gave the guidelines to the manager incase any future problems turned up in his absence. He was returning to Vrinda's place to get his luggage and drive to the airport when a disaster took place.
Yug and Vrinda were busy arguing about the things to get for their baby's room. It was too early for them to plan about all that but still they couldn't stop themselves. They were a little bit over-excited. The phone rang and Yug went to receive it. He dropped down the receiver as soon as he heard the news the person at the other end gave him.
Immediately taking out the car key, pulling Vrinda along with him he drove to the place. Vrinda was surprised to see the sudden change in him. She kept asking him what the matter was but all she got in his answer was silence. He stopped the car and asked her to get down.
All the color drained out of her face as soon as she saw the board of hospital.
Vrinda: Yug..hospital'prem..prem kahaan hai?? woh teek toh haina??
Yug just saw her with teary eyes and led her in. They came to know that he was being operated in ICU and both of them immediately went there.
Vrinda: Yug yeh sab kaise hogaya?
Yug: Mujhe kuch samaj mein nahin aaraha.. itna kush tha ghar wapas jaane ko lekar..
Just then the doctor came out.
Yug: How's he doctor?
Doc: He had gone through a major surgery. He's under 24 hour observation. I can tell you the details only tomorrow.
Their hearts sank as what the doctor said sinked into their minds. They tried to console each other knowing that it wasn't going to serve any purpose. They had thought of calling home but then dropped the idea and decided to wait till tomorrow.
Both of them stayed in the hospital the whole night. As the morning dawned they hoped Prem shows some recovery. The sight of Prem surrounded by all machines made them weak. Somehow Yug managed to feed Vrinda as she was pregnant and now both of them were eagerly waiting for doctors' arrival.
The doctor went to check Prem while Yug and Vrinda stood out praying for Prem's recovery. Their wait finally came to an end as the doctor came out and told them that Prem was out of danger but still they are unsure of any side-effects.
In the afternoon, finally Prem opened his eyes and found Yug and Vrinda staring at him teary-eyed. He gave them a faint smile and found a wide smile on their faces in return.
Prem: Sorry for troubling you guys..Don't worry I'm alright.
After two days, Prem got discharged. He got his flight booked as he didn't want to give more trouble to them. Both of them were just running to the hospital almost everyday making sure he was on proper diet, taking proper rest etc.
When they got to know that Prem was leaving they were initially angry but then thought he might be missing Heer so they let him go.
Heer was busy serving the bua the things she ordered to make when she heard a door bell ring. She went to the door to attend it. As soon as the door opened she lost her movement. She stood there rooted to the ground unable to see the sight in front of her. There stood Prem with his left hand wrapped in a bandage and also a bandage wrapped around his head. He took a step in and came face to face with her.
Prem came in and the sight in front of him made him dumbstruck. He wondered if he knew her.He blinked his eyes several times. There stood Heer in a red sari with a black bead mangalsutra and sindhoor in the partition of her hair.
Before any of them got the chance of opening their mouths, the rest of the family joined them. Gayatri and Preet ran over to Prem seeing him in bandages.
Gayatri: Prem..prem yeh kya hua? Tu teek toh hain na
Prem: Ma..mein bilkul teek hoon..bas ek chota sa accident hogaya tha..ab mein bilkul teek hoon..
Preet: Accident PB!! Kaise hua? Call bhi nahin kiya?
Prem: Chill Preet.. chota sa accident tha..ab mein teek hoon..
Gauri: Preet jaa andhar room mein leke jaa mein kuch khaane ka intezaam karti hoon'
Bua: Prem beta yeh kya hogaya?
Prem: Dadi bua aap kab aayi?
Bua: Tere canda jaane ke baad aayi thi..woh chod ye kya halat bana liya apna..
Prem: Mein teek hoon.. kuch nahin hua..
Bua: Woh toh dikhayi de raha hai ki tu kitna teek hai.. Tu jaa kamre mein aaram kar.. e ladki tu kya dekh rahi hai kadhe reh kar.. Jaa kuch intezaam kar..
Prem felt a fire through him as he witnessed that. Preet made him go to his room.
Heer was shocked to see Prem in such a condition. She went to the kitchen but stood there lost in thoughts. She came back to her senses when she heard Gauri calling her name.
Gauri: Heer..heer.. tu kuch aisa waisa mat soch..Prem sahi salamat ghar wapas aagaya na.. bas..chal ye soup lekar jaa uske pass.. tera hi intezaar kar raha hoga.
Heer walked into the room with the tray. As soon as she came Preet and Gayatri left asking Prem to take care. Heer walked up to the bed and placed the tray beside the table. She picked up the clothes lying on the bed and kept them inside the cupboard. Prem just remained silent.
She glanced at him through the mirror and went back to the bed picking the soup. She fed him the soup not meeting his gaze for once. She was about to get up and leave when she heard him.
Prem: Excuse me. Do I know you?
Heer just turned around shocked. She dropped the tray.
so how was it?
