Part 3
Preet decided this was the perfect time to do something he had been dying to do. He had to confess. " Um Meher, we are in our hotel, so we can spend the night here and then you can leave early morning tomorrow. It is our only option. You cannot argue with me on this one!"
Meher reluctantly agreed, "I know you are right, but I have to leave in the morning!"
Preet smiled and told meher he would go get them a room. Preet ran to Mrs. mehta, the head receptionist,winked and said "Hi sweetheart, can I get a key to the garden estate?"
mrs. Mehta squealed, "beta, how many times have I told you not to flirt with me, i am your mother's age and besides i have too many boyfrinds as it is. " They both laughed. mrs metha then asked preet, " Waise why do you want to stay in the garden room? while raising her eyebrows.
Preet said in a whisper, "I am here with the Mrs." and then winked again.
mrs mehta got excited and said, "beta i must meet her! i was not at your wedding!"
" Not now sweetheart, woh app ko dekhe jealous ho jayegi. or waise bhi i don't have much time." preet said sweetly.
"thik hai but next time you have to introduce me!" mrss mehta said in a motherly voice.
"Anythinng for you darling!" preet said. Mrs. Mehta slapped him lightly and with that he went off to meher.
"Come on meher lets go. " preet said grinning boyishly.
Preet led meher to the new suite that had just been built. It was a villa that was separated from the rest of the hotel and surrounded by trees, vines, flowers, and plants. the idea had been Prem's, since he was the hopeless romantic. No one had used it yet, but it had earned great reviews from hotl critics already. They were planning to build 7 more around the hotel.
"wow. Preet this is breath taking! but why are we staying here, why can't we just stay in a regular room?" meher said innocently.
Preet sighed and brought Meher to sit on the canopy bed. He held her hand and said, "Because you are not regular, we aren't regular, and neither is our relationship."
Meher looked at him wide - eyed. Was he going to say what she thought he was going to say?
"Meher, after you left i realized how i can't live with out you. You make me me smile, and always make me feel better. When you walk into a room my heart skips a beat. When you hold my hand, or actually when I hold yours( he chuckled as he said this remembering the various times he had grabbed meher's hand) my senses go numb. I love you meher. I know our relationship started out as a compromise and we were just friends, but I couldn't help but fall in love with you."
Meher stared at Preet. She was shocked. She had experience feelings for quite sometime now too, but with heer di's problems she hadn't really allowed herself time to articulate them.
However, things were different now, listening to preet made her realized that she felt those exact things. She saw preet staring at her with anticipation and they forced her to do something she would have never done before. She kissed him lightly and drew away from him. She smiled as preet looked at her with surprise now and said, "I love you too." Preet broke out into a huge smile and hugged her.
Meher was so happy. She couldn't believe what had just happened, but she wanted to live in this moment in case it slipped away. She grabbed preet's hand and led him out the glass doors of the villa into the garden. Preet said, "meher are you crazy its a torrential downpour here!"
Meher looked at him, and said in a mischeivious tone, "So, let's dance in the rain enjoy this beutiful night, unless you want to go inside and talk all night like we did in kausali."
"preet laughed at her remark, and said "wait." He went inside the villa and turned on the music system( which was loud enough to drown the thunder and rain.)
They danced to slow romantic songs. Preet held meher close and she rested her head on him while they swayed to the music. Preet twirled meher and they gazed into each others eyes. They realized their was nowhere they rather be.
So did you guys like it? Sorry for all the mistakes- i am just to lazy to edit. I think after this, the story is going to be more premeer centric for a while. But I promise a lot of MEET. I really hope you guys like it! Let me know if you have any suggestions for improvements!!!!😳
