I don't know why, I really wanted to write a one shot with Chahat being the connector of Prem and Heer and I got this idea.
Chahat suddenly woke up to someone sobbing. She had always been a light sleeper and had become used to waking up in the middle of the night. Even though she was just a little over five years old, she knew how to read a clock. The clock next to her bed said it was 3 in the morning and her mother was sobbing in her sleep. As she got up to try to wake Heer, she saw that Heer was clutching something in her hand. It was then that Chahat realized that it was a picture of Prem Juneja – hotel ke owner ji. But why was her mother holding a picture of Prem Juneja and crying in her sleep? It didn't make any sense.
"Hello?" answered a sleepy Prem. "Aap hote kaun he mere Mama ko roolane vale?" accused an angry Chahat. "What did you say to my mother that you made her cry?" "Chahat, beta, slow down. What are you saying? Heer's crying? Why?" asked a startled Prem. "I don't know. She is crying while holding a picture of you in her sleep. You better say sorry to her the next time you see her." Replied Chahat and angrily put the phone down.
A shocked Prem put the phone down and realized he had probably pushed Heer to the limit today. All day, during the puja, he ignored Heer. He even did the Ganpati puja with Geet. "Damn it, how could I push Heer to the limit like this? Just because she said those things to me and is angry with me doesn't mean I should have..." Prem quickly grabbed his keys and ran to his car. He didn't care it was 3AM, all he cared about was how deeply he had hurt Heer, his Heer.
Heer was awoken by the sudden knock on her door. It was 3:30AM, who could be at the door at this hour? Prem was shocked at the sight he saw once the door opened. This wasn't his Heer. She looked like she had been crying for hours and he cursed himself for this state of hers. Heer, knowing this was all her fault turned her back to him. "Prem.." was all that escaped her mouth when she felt his arms around her. "Sshh, don't say anything further. I am sorry. I shouldn't have behaved this way with you yesterday." He turned her towards him and could see that she had started crying again. He decided to just hold her and remain silent. Nothing in the world mattered to him right now, other than consoling Heer. They could talk about their relationship tomorrow morning. Right now, Heer needed to cry. She had bottled up six years of emotion and pain and it was all going to come out tonight, when she was finally back in Prem's comforting arms.
I hope you liked it. Let me know how it was. 😃
