Kis Desh Mein Hai Mera Dil Part 3
It's around 10 o'clock at night...
At Heer's house....
Heer was sitting down on her bed, with her book open on her lap. But her mind was somewhere else. Although she was reading her favourite book, somehow she couldn't pay attention to it. She got up from her bed, taking her book with her and sat down in front of the mirror. She picked up the leaf that was laying on the dresser. She looked at it and had a flashback of when Prem took the pen from her and signed the leaf for her. The flashback ends and Prem is sitting down on his bed, looking at the pen that he used to sign the leaf. There's a smile on both their faces. Heer looks at the leaf and starts thinking of Prem. She looks in the mirror and sees Prem standing behind her smiling. She turns around and sees no one. She hits her head lightly. Prem gets up and stands by the window and looks outside at the moon. He was just glancing around outside, when he saw someone with their back towards him. He keeps looking at them, to see Heer turn around and look at him smiling. He smiles back at her. She slowly disappears. He stops smiling and starts looking around for her out the window. When he realizes he was just imagining, he hits head lightly.
"Prem. Control." he says to himself.
Heer's head is resting on the dresser, while she plays around with the leaf, thinking of Prem. Prem is resting his chin on top of the pillow while he continues looking at the pen. Heer puts the leaf on the dresser and opens up her suitcase. When she opens it, the first thing she sees is a book. She picks it up and looks at it. She opens the first page and its says: For the love of my life, Rose. She turns to the next page and reads the first line.
Love. It doesn't always have a happy ending.
She walks over to the other side of her bed and sits down.
When we think of love, we think of happiness. Because that's what it gives us. Lots of happiness. All around you, everything starts to seem different. Different. Very different.
Heer stopped right there. Love.
"Love."
She thinks of Prem.
"No. There's no way. I mean, I just met him. No."
She gets up and goes to her dresser. She picks up the leaf and puts it in the book as her bookmark and hugs it.
Prem gets up and opens his closet. He opens a drawer and takes out a blue case. He opens it and carefully places the pen in it. He closes the case and smiles. He puts the case back in the drawer. He takes a minute and looks at the other items that he put in there for safe keeping. He smiles, at every memory he remembers at looking at them. Then, he locks it and closes the closet. He goes back to his bed and sits down. He looks at the clock and it says 11.
"10 more hours." he whispers.
He smiles at himself and turns off the lamp.
Before sleeping, he whispers "Good Night Heer."
Somehow, Heer felt that someone wished her good night.
Not to be rude, she whispered back "Good Night."
Next morning.....
Heer was at her office early in the morning. She finished all her paper work and had nothing to do. She looked at the clock. It was only 8. She pouts and cups her face with her hands.
"Woh kab aiye ga?" Heer whines.
At Prem's house.....
The alarm clock starts ringing. Prem sleepily reaches for it and turns it off.
At the office, Heer finds a tennis ball and starts throwing it against the wall and catching it. When she looks at the clock, it's 8:15.
The alarm clock rings again, and Prem sleepily turns it off again.
Heer starts walking around the studio, just to kill time. When she comes back in her office, and checks the time, it's 8:30. Her lips mouth an O. Frustrated, she stomps her foot.
It's the third time, that the alarm clock rings. Prem gets annoyed and throws it out the window. He pulls the covers over him and sleeps again.
In the office, Heer changes her clothes to a t-shirt and track pants. She goes through her playlist to select a song to practice on. When she's done choosing, she starts practising. When she went through the practice once, she takes a drink of water. She wants to check the time but is afraid to. She slowly turns around to take a peek. When she checks the clock it's only 8:40.
"What?!" she screams.
She starts looking around for something, when she sees the water bottle in her hand, she throws it at the clock.
"Go faster!" she screams at it.
Prem is still sleeping peacefully.
In his dream....
He enters the studio and asks the receptionist for the location of Heer's office. When he gets it, he starts heading down to it. He knocks at the door.
"Come in." says a voice.
He enters the room. The lights are off and there are candles and flowers all around. He comes in a little further and starts looking around.
"Hello."
All of a sudden, the wind starts blowing. He turns around and sees Heer standing in front of him in a sari. The music also starts playing. He keeps staring at her, while she blushes. They both make eye contact once or twice before Heer drops her gaze down at the floor. He walks towards her and lifts her chin gently to make her look at him.
"Ab uthne ke liye kya lo ge?" asks Heer.
He looks at her confused.
"Uthne ke liye kya lo ge?" she repeats.
He still looks at her confused. He drops his hand from her chin.
"What?" he asks?
"Ab what what kya lagaye raka hai? Sunaiye ni detha. Utho!" she screams.
She starts hitting him while Prem is confused and surprised as to what she's doing.
He wakes up abruptly, with sweat all over his face and breathing deeply.
"Finally!"
Prem looks up and sees his younger brother Preet. He looks at him angrily.
"It was you. Wasn't it?" he says, pointing his finger at him.
"Of course. Who else could it be?" he answers smiling, and lifting the edges of his collar up.
"Why you..."
Prem gets up from his bed and starts chasing Preet. Preet goes downstairs to the prayer room and stands beside his sister, Kulraj. He folds his hand and closes his eyes to make it seem like he was always there. He opens one eye and when he sees Kulraj looking at him, he quickly closes them again. He opens them again and when Kulraj isn't looking at him, he turns back to see Prem standing there. Prem looks annoyed at him. Preet just sticks his tongue out at him and turns back around.
"Thoda ter bachu. Phir dekha tha hoon." whispers Prem.
He glances at the clock and it says 8:50. He looks shocked.
"Oh sh**. The meeting is at 9!"
He runs upstairs to his room, quickly takes a bath, puts on his clothes and puts his guitar around his back and runs back downstairs.
"Aare Prem beta. Itni jaldi mein kaha ja re ho?" asks his mom.
"Mom. Late. Meeting. Very important. Bye!" he very briefly explains while running out the door.
"Kitni baar kaha hai, jaldi utha kar. Par yeh hai ki sun tha hi ni. Preet. Time kya hua hai?"
"Ghadi krid ne ka time hogaya." he says.
She looks at him.
"Seriously. Prem bhaiya ke liye." he explains.
"Phir se?" she asks.
"The tenth one." he says while leaving.
"Why do I even bother?" she says to herself.
At the studio.....
Prem goes up to the receptionist and asks about the location to Heer's office. When he gets it, he starts heading towards it. While going he sees, a bouqet of flowers. Seeing no one is around, he takes one out and walks away. He stands in front of the door. Looking through the mirror, he quickly fixes himself up. He was about to knock, when the door opens by itself. Surprised, he enters.
"Hello." he calls out.
He walks in a bit further. The lights are turned off just like in his dream. But there's no flowers or candles. He looks around and sees no one there.
"Hello." he calls out once more.
Just then the door closes. He turns around and goes to it and tries to open it, but it's locked. Some scary music starts playing. He slowly turns around and stands close to the door. The window opens and it the wind starts blowing. Prem looks outside and doesn't believe what he sees. He rubs his eyes and looks out again. When he entered the office it was morning, but now it was night.
"Kya dekh re ho?"
He looks around to see who said that, but no one was there.
"Kitna intezaar karwaiya tumne mujhe. Par ab ni. Ab tum kahin ni ja sakte. Ab tum mere ho. Sirf aur sirf mere."
He sees a lady in white but isn't able to see her face, because of all her hair blowing in front. She starts coming towards him. He tries opening the door again but can't. The lady starts laughing. She starts walking faster towards him. Prem runs around the desk towards the window. But before he can reach it, it closes. The lady starts laughing.
"Ab aa bhi jao na. Kyun itna saata re ho?"
Prem starts walking backwards until he reaches the wall. The lady goes up to him and comes really close to his face.
"It's time."
End.
