well, i was tempted say this story has such a strange stink. 😆 but that would not be strictly true. i think i'd still watch it - after all, they've actually fulfilled one of my wishes for the show!** - is just that i wish they would pay at least as much care and attention to the rest of the story as they pay to the heer and pr..the guy parts. 'cause the pacing is still coming across as jerky and strange, no?
I agree. I am still not giving up. As long as they stick to the Prem-Heer-are-one concept, I will watch it. And if you really think about it, as much as they are trying to convince that this is Gaurav, I am not...kind of like when they wanted to tell us he was dead...😃 Yeah E....the raasta roko, with a furious Prem....*thud* It's beginning....
* wtf#1: so thinking... there are two... no, three broad themes to the show now?
1. the stress between heer and prem, and keeping it up. (look, just permit me to say prem this wtf, 'kay? let's just assume i think that prem's not prem but is the guy? so when i say prem, i mean the guy, 'kay? 🤣)
Yeah yeah, it is Prem. I refuse to believe anything else. But the creatives better make sure that there is some rock solid reason for his behaviour. And I ain't buying the ML theory. Nope...still not buying it. 🥱
said this earlier, saying it again: when prem-heer-are-one, there were somethings that were impossible. which are now possible. like how could they ever fight? well, now they are fighting. how could heer ever be suspicious of prem? well, now she is. how could prem ever hold out on heer, taunt her, drive her to the extremesof anger and dislike? well, now he is.
Absolutely! Oooh, I so love the flare of tempers.....😉
and what i like 'bout it is that the tension comes from two drivers: one driver, of course, is prem. he's (apparently) doing all this for some deep reason. (which works either as prem, or as the guy. if prem, there must be a reason why he's pushing heer away so badly just now. works as the guy, 'cause for someone who was as casual and uncaring with the rest of the world as we saw hip-hop to be, he is waaaaay too polite and caring of the junejas - and yes! obsessive of heer! man, is he obsessed with heer or what?!! - to be dismissed.)
You know what really does not convince me that he is the 'guy' is because the way the hip-hopness vanished. Is that a blooper? Somehow I don't think so. I did notice the obessission with Heer. Since it is Prem, I can understand that *smits shining with positive energy* 😃
the other driver is heer. trouble is - i think she doesn't realise what she is doing. i think she is compounding prem's problems 'cause (for some strange reason) he's not able to be - or chooses not to be - open with heer. and i keep wondering why? even if he is just ''the guy'', why can't he grab her by the hand, and tell her that she should stop being confused between him and prem? that it's okay for her to be torn and angry, but that it is not helping anyone? that it is better if they went forward as partners in a common-goal -- to cure gayatri-mom? that he will try hard to be good, if only she will stay off his back?
We have always known this to be possible...Heer compounding to Prem's problems. I completely agree that he needs to tell Heer!! Unless...*whispering*...he does not trust her to keep it to herself?
it'd just be so much easier if these two can reach a truce, no? *thinking* and maybe they could've reached a truce if this whole accident thing and jail thing hadn't happened. which brings me to the second theme.
It will take a little longer than that....😃 I think Heer would not have called off so easily...😉
2. why did kuldi's hus-band chose jail? like this avatar of prem, this character has too many loose threads 'round him. i found the q&a session between him and prem interesting. when he said that he knew ''mera prem'' couldn't have done it, i was frowning. i mean, the evidence is that the guy did do it! what the heck is kiran talking about??! and what purpose is served by him taking prem's place? isn't that deliberate obstruction of justice? isn't it bound to come out?
I think Kiran has a reason for keeping this Prem out of jail. I mean to do this right after he started the new accounting firm too...there is something fishy...but then we all knew that..😆
so, only thing i could think of was: kiran knows that everyone's gonna work to clear him. if it was investigated even half-well -- ie, a breath-analyser test was done -- it would be clear that he wasn't the driver. and the only other person missing at the same time was prem. so, eventually prem would become the other candidate. so -- kiiran's doing this to (a) get a better standing in the juneja zoo. and (b) delay the focus on prem. until...? what? what was the delay for? for ratty'sf forces to come into the picture? what else?
I am w&w on this one. I have a feeling that you are on the right track with ratty's forces...😊

only thing is: i wonder if he knows/predicts that heer will bring evidence against prem? i think not? i wonder what his reaction will be when she does...?
and i wonder what will be the repurcussions on heer if she does offer up prem as the drunk driver that night. i think she's probably right in thinking that the law is not going to hang prem for drinkin'n'driving. but is she willing to be alienated by the family when she does so? or does she think that the family will stop thinking of prem as a lily-white person any more? poor thing, though. i can so imagine her guilt -- she set up this drunk to be prem. she was indirectly the person 'cause of whom kiran is in jail... poor heer.
I am not sure what she is hoping to achieve by this. I don't think she is thinking that far ahead, donchya?
3. last theme is... the saas-bahu serial that the rest of the junejas are in. 😆
one son is falling in love with his wife. *sigh! what a perfect son and what a lovely wife he seems to have got for himself!!! omg. i have to write a bt,lt just so that i can gush 'bout (god) preet and his changing relationship with meher -- meet rocks!*

one son is regretting the error of his ways and trying to make up. and y'know? the whole harman-jzoo relationship thing has much nicer balance of error-realisation-regret-forgiveness-redemption than ever happened in the prem-jzoo episode, no? there the good was all on one side, and the bad was all on the other. only thing that was equal on both sides in that episode was there was stoooopid on both sides then... 😆
I know...! I read somewhere that the Maya person will arrive at the J-zoo..*shudder*
then, there's the saas-bahu stoopidity of vitchface and maya. and isn't odd? for me, even maya's ''love'' for harman is a more sincere thing than anything 'bout vitchface. i keep telling myself that in the whole juneja zoo, vitchface and lj (to a smaller extent) is the bad guys counterbalance to the rest of the good guys.

* wtf#2: of course, of the three themes, what i find new and interesting is the prem-heer face-off. *koi shaq? 😆* and it's not just that these two actors really play off superbly against each other. it's that it's actually a seriously intriguing puzzle as to why prem's doing that to heer?
what is wrong with the show is that - usually in a puzzle, we get little pieces of info that help us decode the puzzle. here? we don't seem to be getting any thing concrete at all. 😕
Are you kidding me? Of course the creatives are not even throwing a bone to gnaw on...other than the obrious tha this is not Prem, which I refuse to believe!
we're getting the dynamics between heer and prem. and i've liked all of the dynamics -- if not the pace at which they've happened. starting from:
- saviour glimpse at rajasthan (was he prem? did he know what he was doing?) I'd like to think so
- hip-hop gayatri in ludhiana (was he prem? did he know what he was doing?) Yeah he did
- hip-hop-heer face-off in ludhiana (was he prem? did he know what he was doing?)
('cause if he'd made the unholy deal with ratpal by then, why did he keep refusing to admit that he was prem -- wasn't the deal that he should be prem? so why say he isn't? did the unholy deal happen after he interrupted the ratty-heer marriage??!) That was Prem. The unholy deal was done at that time. The whole lodi scene made me think of something. If Ratty knew about Prem then why was Ratty drinking himself into a stupor when he was so close to his revenge? That did not make sense. But I think the deal was done.
- prem-heer post-marriage in ludhiana (after the cctv recording, he was prem! the ratty-prem handshake notwithstanding.) He was Prem all along...even the hand shake. He was seriously pissed in that scene...gives me hope. Hey, I just thought about the accident. You think somehow Prem knows that the person who got injured was er...enemy combatant (keeping in line with the whole video-game theory of Prem 😆😆)
- heer-prem post-bombay. (if he was prem at the marriage, of course, he's prem now!) Of course...
it's just that heer's animosity towards prem started after seeing the handshake. this was before she discovered the money-full suitcase on their bed. and prem started thinking like ''the guy'' in his head. until then, he was clearly prem.
- heer-prem animosity part1: she is just blazing angry at him for the unholy deal; at herself for having thought it was prem. and he? doesn't react -- is he astounded that heer can't see beyond the handshake and just believe in him, despite the evidence? Oooh, knowing Prem, I agree that he could think something stoopid like this! 😃 For Heer to see past the handshake and trust him! *sheesh*
- heer-prem animosity part2: she is blazing angry at him. and he is retaliating! he plays out to her imagination -- gets drunk, leaves the house in the middle of a pooja -- 'cause he is angry with her? wtf can't he just tell her he is him??? and why he is doing all this? just as she isn't giving him a chance, why isn't he giving her a chance? hasn't he heard? ''an eye for an eye leaves the whole world blind''? 'cause that's exactly what prem-heer are doing to each other right now -- making each other blind! prem! stop it! it's in your hands! talk to her! I agree...the question is why is he not talking to her. I want to reason behind Prem's reasoning...*whine* Me thinks that he likes a riled up Heer! ☺️ Have you not seen the looks and smirks he has been giving her all week? It is a face off..with both waiting for the other to give in / give up!
- heer-prem animosity part3: she is trying to reverse her earlier plan of getting him to play prem. 'cause he is being an ass. and 'cause she can't take the difference between the guy with prem's face and prem anymore. and he? he's back on his original plan, but struggling to control an antagonistic heer in the equation at the same time. *stoooopid! just talk to her! tell her! include her in your plan! stop punishing her! this is almost as bad as slapping her, damnit! 😡*
*sigh* yeah, I agree. This is infinitely worse than slapping her. At least the next instant he was holding her like he'd never let her go.... and now? *sigh*
so seriously, the thing that the story really needs to do just now is tell us/heer/someone! - who is this guy?! prem or not, it has been too long that he's been in the show for us to not have a clue! *other than just instinctively know that he is prem, of course! 🤣 'kay, sorry, i'll get back to calling him ''the guy'' now.. 😆*

oh well. i guess we're just gonna have to w&w to see how they play this out. i wonder what exactly they are planning for this whole jail episode thing. how it will end. and when the rat will come back into the picture -- 'cause i'm guessing that ratty will come back in, when heer-prem are reconciled. and they will together fight ratty and vanquish him. 'cause in the ramayan, ravan never wins. 😃

hmm.. and while we're waiting, i have no problem whatsoever, getting one half of a third of the show devoted to (god) preet, and his meher!
sooo sweet they are, they're unbearable! I think I got a touch of diabetes after that epi...😆
no really! they're the normal couple. starting off as enemies. then friends. then.. oh can i hope? .. making ''dil mein kuch ho raha hai'' in each other's hearts? they're not intense, and that is such a relief! to have one just plain enjoyable pair in this show. there are no strings attached. no promises fr loyalty beyond the 30 minutes of the show. except the lingering sense of the sense that everything's alright in our world. oh, the look on (god) preet's face just before he let go of the sofa edge and both of them dropped. the way meher had to bring herself to her senses when (god) preet asked whether they could get up. i think my heart is just swelling up with joy at the sheer memory of that moment! I agree that them not having Prem-Heer intensity is actually a relief! I mean I watch the scene and feel at peace with the world, unlike the other duo...who....well the new disease was invented after them...these two...they are so normal! *sigh*🤗
so this weekend, all hail (god) preet. and his oh-so well-deserved pal, meher. all hail, meet! y'know? this causes a bit of a logistics problem. 'cause at the temple of the god of smiles, we've only got the (god) preet statue. since i've realised that the sweetest preet smiles happen when preet is part of meet, i realise that i should get a second (smaller) idol of (goddess) meher made too. *making a note to budget a meher idol in the temple building funds* but till that happens, i've got a little framed picture of meet next to the idol -- besides this weekend, i think just the memory of meet's little ''dil mein kuch ho raha hai'' moment should make enough smiles to spontaneously appear and replicate and spread like a virus all over the temple today, no? how could it not? Ooh, thank god I made it to the pooja. **handing E a big bowl of gajjar ka halwa and a plate of pink button roses**
so in respect of that moment, i'm not doing a prayer today -- i'm holding a moment of silence.
