hey guys, totally agree. but ekta pays no heed to hinduism and makes up new rules and hindu customs to suit the story. and all this remarriage and divorce and etc. etc all against hinduism. for all these supposedly hindu and self-sacrificing characters that she has in other serials...well she does a lot to only degrade other ppl's views on hinduism. it's sad, but a fact.

she's only out there to entertain.

Most Non-muslims know about Islam, it's rules & traditions only through these serials & movies. so basically Kekta is not showing Islamic rituals correctly. Men & Women facing each other & praying is totally wrong & my hindu-friends will assume that it's right.
So Ekta, please learn the basics first!!

culture and religion are two different things and this has nothing to do with pak culture but it has something to do with islam. Even though yasir is a muslim he cant tell ekta to change her serial, she even mess up hinduism

going on what sajibabe said, the limit for woman not marrying after her husband dies in 40 days, regardless of pregnancy or no pregnancy. One reason that rule is there because in the old days, people did not acquire the pregnancy test things and couldn't really firgure out for sure so the 40 days limit was given becasue in that time a woman does start to know and is given sign. Does taht make sense? But as the quran khani goes, I also thought it was really weird how they were facing each other. Usually, they face the qiblah.

What are the different types of ' idda (waiting period) and what are their extents?

Answer:
According to the Islamic shari'a, the 'idda is a waiting period with certain exigencies required of a woman when the appropriate condition exists—either divorce or death (of her husband). As for divorce, the 'idda for a pregnant woman is until she delivers her child, and for one who still menstruates, it is three menstrual cycles, whereas for one who is either too young or too old to menstruate, it is three months.

As for the widow whose husband has passed away, if she is pregnant then her 'idda is until she delivers her child; otherwise, it is four months and ten days. "

This is the correct information and that wu be considered a blooper becuz a lot of people feel very strongly about these things...!

The other issue is that they were sitting together at a quran khawani...that is quite normal...i have a quran khwani at my house atleast once a month and we all do sit together...men AND women. they were all men of the family and that's alright...!

You acnnot face eachother while doing namaz, the rest of the times it's okay!!

they are husband and wife and probably praying for eachother and religion allows that.....let them look at each other yaar....they are married!!

people who feel strongly should get together and right a letter to her. because you guys are right, many people only learn about culture and religion thru ekta's ridiculous portrayals of them thru her serials. so it is important to let her know.

Come on people, lets broaden our mindsets a little. Its a show that is meant to be enjoyed and isnt Love another name of God?They just shared a glance at each other,i mean sorry to say but they werent screwing each other were they??

And as far as the waiting period is concerned,i think the first law of every religion is Humanity. If a man accepts a pregnant widow for the sake of humanity, why is it being made a issue?

I mean i am sorry to say but how many people out there actually practice Islam or any other religion the way it is?There are ppl justifying the 911 bombings in the name of humanity, but that's of no concern?A man rapes his daughters in the name of religion, but nobody is raising her voice against it instead his 3 muslim wives held the daughters down while their husband was raping the daughter?A man in my country had 10 wives and it was in the news.Just because we dont see these ppl doesnt mean ppl like this do not exist.

Please guys,i am not saying any religion is inferior to another but its about time we accept changes that are harmless!!!A man accepting a pregnant widow is offencive but planes crashing into a building full of innocent lives is just consoled and forgotten?
