Part 9

After leaving the cafe, Milind looked a little glum. He was surprised that Prachi hadn't figured it out that the girl he was talking about was her, or had she??? Maybe she didn't like him thats why she was acting all clueless. He shared his thoughts with Neev. But Neev assured him that if she would have guessed it, then it would definetely be pretty obvious on her face. "I was looking at her the whole time, she has no clue that she is Pari. I thought Prachi was intelligent but she proved me wrong, once again" Neev chuckled.

By the next day, Neev had come up with a perfect plan. He just needed to talk to Milind first. He told him as soon as the two friends got some alone time.
"PICNIC??" Milind looked confused. "Where will we go for picnic??? and how will Prachi come with us???"
"Ok one problem at a time" said Neev thoughfully. "First, we will go for Picnic to Panchkula, we will stay there for a night and come back the next day. So this way, Prachi and u will be together for 2 days instead of one" Rubbing his hands, Neev continued.
"And what makes u so sure that Prachi will come??" asked Milind.
"Yeh tu mujh par chod de" with a wink and click Neev left.

Neev had asked his mom to talk to Prachi's parents for letting her go for the picnic with them. They just would have to tag along Purvi and Saumya too but Neev didn't mind. After much persuasion Inder agreed, making Neev promise that he would take care of his daughters and call them if they get in any kind of trouble.

The next day Milind, Neev and Purvi arrived to pick up Prachi and Saumya. after bidding goodbyes to their families, the gang headed for the road.
"Prachi, why r u guys carrying so much stuff??" Neev asked looking over his shoulder all the same time driving.
"Neev, idiot, picnic ka saamaan hai"
"Purvi, didn't u tell Prachi where exactly we r all going??" asked Neev.
"Sorry Prachi, we r gonna stay at my friends cottage in pachkula, not some picnic stop. Can u imagine these guys spending the night under the stars??" Purvi said with sympathy. "Plus it more of a road trip than any picnic" She added.
"What?? SO all my packing....."Prachi tried to look mad but laughed. She was secretly happy to spend some time with her childhood friend and the hunk, who was sitting in the front seat looking out the window. A small smile crept on Milind's lips when he heard Prachi laughing. The journey was smooth, they played some songs over the radio and sang along. The girls would start screaming every timg the boys would try to put on an english song. Milind was very happy to see Prachi having a good time. She looked so innocent with a not a care in the world. He just wished she would fall in love with him soon.
Half way through, Neev exchanged seats with Milind and Prachi started making fun of Mliind asking if he knew how to drive, he just shot an angry look at Prachi which was enough to shut her up. Seconds later both felt sorry for their behaviour.

Soon the girls were tired of sitting and they wanted a little break. So Milind parked the car on the side of road and everybody jumped out to stretch their legs. Milind looked a little low when Prachi came up to him "U drive well. I m sorry I made fun of u."
Seeing Prachi talking to him, his heart soar up high, "Thats ok, I am also sorry..I ..." before he could finish his sentence Prachi blurted out
"looked at me with those blood shot eyes as if u were gonna kill me??"
Milind gave her a one of his sweet smile. Prachi's heart started beating faster and suddenly her mouth went dry. "I need some water" she said and excused herself. Milind didn't know what had happened. What did I do now?? he wondered.

After a little while they reached their cottage. It was a small cottage with a living hall, a kitchen and two bedrooms with attached bathrooms. It had a beautiful garden in the front and was situated far from the busy traffic of the city. A perfect place for a romantic getaway. The man named Bahadur, greeted them at the door and showed them inside. The girls ran inside and dropped on the comfy sofas in the living room leaving the boys to pick up the luggage.
"These girls look how much they have packed for 2 days, I wonder if we had to stay for a week, we would have had to book a bus." complained Neev as they carried the stuff out of the car.
The boys after a long journey were a bit tired so thought to take some rest but fell asleep. Prachi was examining the place when Purvi walked over to her "yeh bhaiya aur Milind kahan hain? Hum kahin baahar ghumne nahi ja rahe?"
Prachi told her she had no idea and went to look for them. And to their surprise found both of them sleeping comfortably on their beds.

Suddenly Prachi thought of some mischief. It had been long since she played some prank on Neev and she couldn't let this oppurtunity escape. She signalled Purvi to get two buckets of water to throw over the boys. Purvi and Saumya giggled as they got what Prachi had asked for. "Prachi let me pour water on Neev as I never to get to settle scores with him for whatever he does, this one time plz...u take Milind and I will take Neev." Purvi whispered. Prachi reluctantly agreed but what she didn't know was that Milind was nothing like Neev.

The two girls quietly crept inside boys room and on count of three simultaneously poured the whole bucket of water on them and ran as fast as they could. Milind and Neev woke up with a jolt as if they had been electrocuted. Prachi was a expert on playing this type of pranks
so she made her escape while Purvi fell in the pool of water she had created herself and admitted quickly that it was all Prachi's idea. "It was Prachi's idea....it was prachi's idea......." she said looking with guilt at Neev.

As soon as Milind heard that, he shot out of the door running behind Prachi. He saw her running towards the main door and to the garden, he followed shouting "Prachi, ruk, choodunga nahi...ruk Prachi"

Prachi kept running looking over her shoulder, she gave him quite a chase and thought he would eventually back off like Neev but Milind ran swiftly behind her. Grasping her right hand, he brought her towards his body in one swift mode making their bodies collide.
Prachi and Milind were both giggling nonstop and lost their balance and fell with Prachi on top of Milind. Her laughter subsided when suddenly Prachi realized she was on top of a shirtless Milind. Her hands now rested on his broad shoulders. He was just wearing a vest and jeans and his hair was dripping wet from the water she had earlier thrown on him. Milind brought this hands around her hips and quickly changed positions, pushing Prachi on the ground. He shook his head violently making the water drops fall all over on her face. Prachi closed her eyes and tried to move away but was held tightly in position both by Milinds's hand and his stiff body. When Prachi finally opened her eyes, her gaze was met with Milinds. They stared at eachother when Milind noticed the tiny drops of water on her cheeks. He brushed her cheek with his thumb, sending electric waves all over Prachi's limp body. Milind felt all the blood leaving his head and flowing towards south. Prachi's cheeks burned where Milind had touched her. His eyes broke contact with her as they travelled down towards her lips. He lowered his head slowly and was just inches away from her face. Prachi held her breath , she could feel his warm breath on her face, their noses touching. He tilted his head slightly, his lips just grazed hers slightly when they heard the rest of the gang calling their names. They quickly broke apart, Milind stood up extending his hand to Prachi who was blushing. Refusing to take his hand, she pulled herself up gracefully and ran towards the cottage. Milind just stood there watching her back, running his hands through his unruly locks, cursing.
