Prachi had run straight to her room without looking back , she was too much in shock. What had just happened back in the garden??? She thought, she had almost kissed Milind, well almost. "Oh my god!!! what did I do?? How could I have behaved like that?? He loves somebody else. How will I ever be able to look at him in the eye??" She blurted out loud before she placed her head in her hands covering her face. She was too ashamed to go out now.

Milind tried to run behind Prachi. He wanted to hold her in his arms and tell her the whole truth now. He regretted not telling her anything earlier. What was he thinking?? The way the girl had melted beneath him just moments earlier, he was sure she would have given him the response he was so hoping for. But he was stopped by Neev and others. "Milind....did u catch Prachi?? we need to teach her a lesson, uski yeh harkatein badti hi ja rahi hai din par din" Neev looked at Milind, who seemed to be lost in some other world. "MILIND??" Neev said waving his hand in front of his face. "what happened?? did u get Prachi??"
"yes and no" came Milind's reply before he walked towards the cottage.

An hour later, everybody was ready to go out for dinner and to the riverside for an evening stroll except Prachi who made an excuse of being sick. Neev asked the girls "Whatz wrong with her??" Milind knew exactly what was wrong with her. "Let me go and talk to her" he said and walked towards her room while the others followed.
Prachi was sitting on the bed with a blanket over half her body and reading something. She looked up to see Neev enter the room but she quickly averted her eyes when she saw Milind behind.
"Whatz wrong with u?? WE r the ones who got soaked with cold water and u are not feeling well??? Neev said with sarcasm in his voice.
Prachi shot an angry glance at him but didn't say anything.
"Oh comeon Prachi. We can't leave u all alone here, so I guess it means none of us are going anywhere." Neev.
"Yes, Prachi we can't leave u alone" Saumya and Purvi added. But Milind remained quiet.

Why is he not saying anything. Maybe he doesn't want me to come and now he hates me for spoiling his evening, she thought.
And Milind was thinking at the same time if he should say something?? I know she is mad at me for behaving like that in the garden and is staying back just to stay away from me.

Prachi looked up at Milind for a sec and as a coincidence Milind looked at her too at the same time and their eyes met. Milind tried to read those dark brown eyes but she quickly looked away before he even got a chance.

"U guys go ahead, I am just tired, also want to finish off this novel before I call it a night. Don't worry, I will be fine" Said Prachi hoping not be dragged along. She really wanted to stay alone. She needed some time to think about her and Milind.
"NO" said Neev firmly. He wasn't going to leave her alone in a strange place.
"Plz Neev, go, I will be fine" Prachi pleaded but Neev just wouldn't budge.

He left the room angry, he knew Prachi and was sure something was bothering her.
"What is wrong with this girl??" Neev was frustated.
Milind wanted to tell Neev what really was bothering Prachi but he wasn't the ones to kiss and tell. And they hadn't even kissed.
"Neev, don't worry. If u want, I can stay back and u can go and take Purvi and Saumya out." said Milind.
"Idea to bahut achcha hai. U will get to spend some time with eachother but I don't think so" Neev replied. "Plus Prachi will never agree to it. Something is bothering her mind n she seems upset. I have another idea to get her in the mood." Saying this Neev went to Prachi to tell her that they were leaving.

"Prachi, r u sure u gonna be ok alone??? I can stay back if u want" Neev said.
"Just go n have fun. I will be fine." Prachi assured him.
"ok." said Neev shrugging his shoulders and left.

Prachi heard the front door closing and moments later heard the car ignition turn on and then leaving. After sometime, it was all quiet. She turned her focus towards her novel, it was a mystery novel. She had started it a few days back but couldn't finish it. She in general would finish a novel within two days max, so she decided to finish it before this trip ended. She tried to focus but couldn't understand anything. She felt the words were dancing in front of her eyes. She closed it in anger cursing Milind. Its all his fault, she thought remembering the soaked Milind running after her this afternoon. She couldn't get those moments out of her mind. She smiled when she remembered him calling out her name running after her and his breath on her face, those lips, how close was she to kissing him. She was brought out of her thoughts by a weird noise. She jumped!!

"What on earth was that??" Before she even got out of bed, the electricity went off and it was dangerously dark.
As she made her way towards the living room, she cursed herself for staying back alone. Once she was out of her room, she heard a noise again. "Who is that?? Kon hai vahan??" There was no reply. Prachi could hear her breathing get irrational and her heart beating thousand times a minute. She tried to make her way to kitchen to find a candle or something when she collided with someone. "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh" She screamed but before she could grab whoever it was, she was left standing in the dark alone again. She quickly walked towards the kitchen and fumbled with the drawers before she found a candle and a match. She lit it up and saw someone standing in the middle of the living room. She carefully approached it and before she could say or do anything somebody prounced on her making her heart stop for a sec. She dropped the candle and ran screaming in the other direction. Just then the lights came on and the other occupants of the house stood in the hallway laughing loudly.

"Tum??" Prachi was shaking with anger and shock. She couldn't believe her friends had played this joke on her.
"Sorry Prachi, we.." Milind came forward with a apologetic face. He tried to hold her to stop her from shaking but Prachi took 2 steps back and before he could do or say something Prachi snapped at him " Aree abhi to raat thi lekin tum ko to koi din ke ujale mei dekh kar bhi dar jaye...apne shakal to dekho, Junglee kahi ke" (it was dark but even in light u look scary, look at ur face. Caveman!!)

Milind looked at her in shock. He knew this was a bad idea but Neev had insisted on it. Prachi and Neev had been playing practical jokes on eachother forever, he had said. Not knowing what to say to her, he quietly left leaving everybody staring at Prachi.
"Prachi, yeh tumne achcha nahi kiya, it wasn't just him alone. We were all in this together, we just wanted to cheer u up but I guess it was a bad idea. U urself said, u will be fine alone. We just wanted to see how brave u were. Milind was the only one who didn't want to do this but we all forced him and u ...u just broke his heart" saying Neev left too.

Prachi was left standing alone in the living room, she couldn't believe what she had said to Milind. She didn't mean a word she said but what was the use now. She hung her head in shame, she had hurt him deeply and now she would go and apologize before the day is over.
