After a lot of thought I have come up with my own interpretations of Prachi's strange behaviour.
The facts as we know them:
-Milsi came to SM on the day Inder died and had a confrontation with him over Alaap which was witnessed by Prachi
-Prachi then confesses the truth to Inder
-Inder promises to set things right
-He meets with an accident and dies
-Prachi blames herself for everything
-She raises Ritwik up and is responsible for keeping him alive
-She wants Suki to get better and accepts Milsi's proposal of marriage not just to hold on to Ritwik but to get back Suki her lost life
-She asked Milsi to promise her that he will not fall in love with her under any circumstance
-She apologies to Inder's portrait for breaking her promise but says that it is only to set things right
-She is planning to leave Milsi once Suki gets well
-She locks herself up with Alaap and talks to him for two hours at the end of which the guy is remorseful and says he hates him.
-She slaps him hearing this and asks him not to be so ungrateful
Now the incidents I listed I feel are all interconnected. Here is my take. After Milsi leaves SM, Prachi would have gone to Inder and told him that Alaap indeed had duped Suki and Milsi's indignation was justified. Something in her voice would have made Inder realise that his daughter is in love with Milsi. While he would have trusted her words, the shrwed business man that he is, he would have immendiately seized on the opportunity to negotiate.
Now my own feeling is that Inder did not think highly of Milsi.(although you have not said so explicitly anywhere). In fact he would have been convinced that Mishraji's son was a wastrel and his daughter would be better off without him in her life. Being a doting father he may have wanted the best for her. I think he may not have been aware that Milsi did not even know about Prachi's love for him let alone reciprocate it. So he would have asked Prachi to stay out of Milsi's life and in return he will ensure that Alaap marries Suki and brings her home as his daughter-in-law. Prachi would have agreed to this considering it is for the good of Suki and also considering that her love for Milsi may in any case be unrequited since she had never revealed it to him. Inder may have then gone to meet the Mishras to fix up the alliance when he met his death. This would explain why Prachi feels guilty about Inder's accident.
Coming to Prachi's condition that Milsi should not fall in love with her. This is related to her promise to her father. While she admitted to her father's portrait she will be breaking her promise, it is to set things right for Suki, something which her father was in any case about to do. However, she wants to fulfill that promise in spirit. This is why she intends to leave after getting Suki well and uniting her with Ritwik. Given her soft heart which cannot bear anyone suffering because of her, she wants to ensure that Milsi does not develop feelings for her during their marriage which would only complicate things when she finally leaves.
She knew that Alaap only cared for her and he needs to realise the consequences of his action on her life. He would have had not much sympathy for Suki. So it would be no use discussing her plight. That is why she would have told him Inder's condition and her decision to fulfill it in spirit by staying away from Milsi even if she is married to him and loves him. That is why he said he hates him and asks her, "Why you, Prachi" for at the end of the day it is Prachi who is suffering as a consequence of what her father made her do which in turn was a fallout of what he did to Suki.
