Recap: Prachi takes Ayesha to the doctor, since Ayesha isn't feeling well. The doctor tells them that Ayesha is pregnant. Ayesha says that the father is Milind.
Part 25:
"I'm sorry Prachi. I'm sorry" sobbed Ayesha, still sitting upright in the patient bed in the doctor's office.
Prachi sat looking at Ayesha in stunned silence.
"Now don't you understand, Prachi?," continued Ayesha, "Don't you understand why I hated seeing you with Milind?"
Still no response from Prachi.
Ayesha tried wiping her tears, but still sobbing, continued speaking, "Prachi, I 'm sorry that I didn't tell you before. But how could I? How could I explain the relationship I share with Milind? Don't you understand why I tried killing myself!? I couldn't bear that fact that on one hand he was romancing you, and yet, he was still sleeping with me!" Ayesha buried her face in her hands, and started crying hysterically, "Now what will I do?"
Prachi finally stood up, and spoke, "Ayesha, how long have you been sleeping with my husband?"
Shocked at the question, Ayesha looked up at Prachi with tears glistening from her eyes. "Prachi…I," stuttered Ayesha.
"Just answer the question, Ayesha," spoke Prachi in a surprisingly no-nonsense manner.
"Well," replied Ayesha, while wiping her tears from her eyes, "We slept together the first time before he married you. Then he married you to get revenge on me, and then obviously nothing happened between us. But, over time, we both came to the realization that we still loved each other. Finally, on the night of your reunion party, we expressed our undying love for each other, and re-consummated our relationship. After that, we have been sleeping together whenever we can find time. I am sorry you had to find out like this Prachi…really, I never meant to hurt you. You have to believe me."
A thousand thoughts raced through Prachi's mind. She felt as if here world was collapsing right in front of her eyes. Prachi closed her eyes, in an attempt to hold back tears.
"Ayesha, I'm sorry. But I don't believe you. I need to speak to Milind." stated Prachi, as she rushed out of the room.
As soon as Prachi left the room, a sly smile came across Ayesha's face. Dr. Neera walked back into the room. "So Ayesha," asked the doctor, "how did it go?"
"Thank you Dr. Neera. You did your job well. Now I have no need to tell you husband about your affair my employee Amar," answered Ayesha smugly.
"Oh thank you Ayesha!" replied Dr. Neera gratefully, "but please, no one must know what I did for you, or else I can get my medical license revoked."
"Don't worry Dr. Neera," laughed Ayesha, "nobody will ever know."
"But Ayesha, do you think your plan will work?"
"Of course," replied Ayesha, "My plan is flawless."

Prachi quickly left the doctor's office and hailed an auto-rickshaw to Milind's office building, deciding to let the driver remain with Ayesha.
A thousand thoughts flooded Prachi's brain at once. Was this true? Why would Ayesha lie? Prachi did not know what to think. Ayesha was pregnant and this was a fact. Ayesha would know who the father of her child would be. Ayesha said that Milind was the father.
"This can't be true," thought Prachi. On one hand, Prachi felt betrayed, yet on the other hand she was intensely furious with herself for even doubting Milind. Prachi did know this much, that if what Ayesha said was true, then she would instantly leave Milind. Her father had cheated on her mother, and although she still loved her father, she knew that she would never tolerate such behavior from a man. She did not want to go through the same burdens and pains that her mother went through.
"Oh come one Prachi! Why do you even doubt Milind?" she asked herself silently. She knew in her heart that she loved Milind and she knew he loved her too. He would never do this to her! A large part of Prachi thought that Ayesha was lying, or at least, was mistaken. Nothing really made sense to Prachi right now, and she knew that the only way for her to understand everything would be by speaking with her husband.
She looked down at her watch. It was only 12pm. She had told Milind to expect her at 6pm. Still, Prachi decided, that this matter could not wait. She needed to see her husband immediately.
