I fully agree with you on the need for Prachi to have asked Milind's forgiveness at the end of PIM track. She should have grovelled a lot at the leap track too and her tepid apology was not sufficient. The only real apology she gave during this entire show was at the hospital during the MMT track.
Yes, Milind should have apologised to Prachi at the end of PIM track, not so much for believing her stupid lie and not doing some investigation of his own (which I wanted him to do considering how he knows that Prachi has a tendency to lie for or hide facts from the people she cared) but more for his physically abusive behaviour during this track- that torture dance and champegne forcing scenes were really too much.
I also did not like the fact that he did not care enough for Prachi to have gone to search for her when she did not return home after her breakdown at the court. Whatever be their misunderstanding, he saw how much she was disturbed that day and felt in his own heart that there could be some truth in what she said (going by the painful expression on his face when he listened to her at the court). Even if he still believed that she lied, it is still worrisome that a woman (who was still his wife) had not returned home at night. Anything could have happened to her. She could have killed herself or could have been kidnapped and raped. But he did not even have the basic humaneness which would have demanded that he tries to find her. He was much more humane during the Ritwik kidnapping when he went behind her after giving her the money to ensure that she was safe. Dont know why he turned so heartless after that.
Having said that, I would not let Prachi go scot free. She had no business perpetuating that lie for so long. Granted she lied because she is stupid and wanted to protect Suki but when Suki herself urges her to tell him the truth why was she holding back her name at the beach? Had she told him the full truth even at that stage, things need not have gone so bad. Yes, he may have been angry at first that she dared to levy such a charge but then Suki herself would have corroborated it. So I failed to understand why was protecting that lie more important that protecting her marriage. I was simply furious with her on that beach scene day. She opened up his wounds and rubbed salt in it.
Another instance when I was totally furious with her was when she prevented Suki from fully grieving for her 'dead' child because she wanted to protect that stupid lie. That seemed pretty heartless to me. If the child was indeed dead which she thought he was, is it not sad that the feelings of a living person (the mother) were of little importance compared to the lie?
I never undertstood her logic for hiding the truth from Milind just as I did not understand that logic for Milind to believe that everybody (including PL and Alaap) were not aware of Prachi's pregnancy when she was living right under their nose all along. Forget biology, atleast plain common sense should have told him that he cannot believe their ingonrance of this issue and yet believe Prachi's guilt. His letting Neev stay on in SM even after all this also did not add up.
So at the end of the day the entire PIM track was a lot of illogical gas which at the time it was being shown made my blood boil. I think I made some of the most angry posts on both Milind and Prachi during that track. But the tracks that followed were even more illogical that PIM looked far more logical than them at the end!
