He was leaving his family for another woman..how can you expect the mom to be rational? He was going to take care of their expenses but in that moment it looked like he was paying them off. Just an emotionally battered woman's reaction.

The kid of course took it to heart. The mom should have explained things to him afterwards which she did not.

rather than leaving her for another woman, it actually seemed like he was running for his life. 😆 and I don't see mamaR being rational even on a good day. there is something off about her. she seems like the type to secretly have drinks and blackout. I still haven't forgotten her in that horrid orange nightie and greeting viaan and asking him if she was a horrible wife or something and I was like "huh????????"

Be it in our fiction or in general Indian society, however sleazy womanizer, pervert or creep a man mainly a boss/owner gets shown onscreen, one who tends to cross boundaries asking indecent favors from female colleagues, still they are mostly shown bit skeptical approaching a married woman.Societal & cultural thought process gets shown affecting a man's mindset, somewhat here.

Keeping aside Aarav and his blood cancer criticality reasons, had Viaan known Katha isn't unmarried but a married woman without a kid, just living away from husbandwould he even impulsively be thinking to test her character with such an indecent proposal, that he made in his cabin?

And this is exactly the point she raises in their confrontation! What if she hadn't been a mother? She's still a woman working in his company. Does that make his proposal acceptable? Viaan had no answer because he knew she was totally right.

Twitter is on fire today on a whole new level. Someone tweeted how Katha and Viaan were destined to meet his way so that Viaan can change his perception about woman and come out of his childhood trauma and I agree with it. And in that process Katha will also receive the love and affection that she might not have desired (ik she is happy with her son) but deserved through Viaan given all the pain she has had to go through from being an orphan to losing her husband to fighting cancer. They are extremely different individuals but both have their own share of pain and i really hope the story focuses on how they come out stronger together at the end of it all.

The nightie scene was not shot well. It looked very shady 😆 now was the mom at fault..well, who knows? But whatever happened left a deep impact on Viaan. So, it might be a part of his journey to understand what went wrong in his parents relationship and maybe also get to know his dad better.
