The flashback was a little confusing. The dad brought money and called the mom a gold digger. But she denied it and said that she loved him. The dad loved another woman so the mom said you'd understand love right. Then she also said this is the money you wanted to buy the other woman with but you yourself got sold So, she declined the money.

Maybe they'll explain more later.

this woman has done such a number on her son that he hates a huge part of himself and anything that remotely resembles his father. am going to bet that the father probably wasn't as bad and his impression of what happened was skewed by mamaR.

I'll have to watch that scene again.. For some reason I just tuned out 😆 MamaR doing a number on him - I agree!! His father ain't the only reason he's become this messed up..

What I gauged of that flashback scene was Viraj was leaving his family for the other woman but he was making sure both teji and their son will be well off in some twisted sense he thinks he is completing his role of father there but then teji makes that statement of buying them off

I don’t understand that woman to be honest first she blames the woman now she is blaming the husband

All this blame game screwing Viaan’s head ; boy does he needs a therapist bad

However we can’t judge Viraj character so swiftly it can be a scenario like that in movie jab we met with shahid kapoor’s mom

He might just not be happy or in love with teji ( this certainly doesn’t make him leaving his family correct) but somewhere in that line

but how is it twisted that a father does his duty of providing for his son? just because he is divorcing her does not mean his responsibilites as a father ends. thats precisely why we have alimony and monthly maintenance and so on. mamaR's reaction was seriously strange. there are so many women who are abandoned with no money to take care of themselves. at least he was giving her the money as what is due to her and their son. instead she calls it buying off. 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♀️

anyone know if the lady that Viraj left his family for will ever show up in the show if they've seen the OG?

I think they also changed the kid playing viaan but I wasn't sure. in the previous episodes, he seemed taller and less hefty. 😆

Twisted in a way that he thinks just giving money is good enough to finish up his responsibilities as a father

But we don’t know maybe he wanted to be a part even after leaving teji maybe wanted Viaan to meet the other woman but teji won’t let it be happening

I hope they go more in depth with Viraj's story cause it's still uncertain whether he truly cheated on MamaRaghuvanshi while they were married or he had told her that he wanted to call it off with her but that woman just wouldn't leave him so he had no choice but to look for love elsewhere while he was still married. But no wonder why Viaan is so messed up and that's kind of also why we feel bad for him.

yea I want to know what his story is -- I am not trusting the memory of viaan or mamaR who is also bitter herself.

yea, I am going to guess that it was a complicated marriage and mamaR isn't as innocent as she looks. I won't be surprised if she was seriously toxic and pushed viraj to run for his life. but viaan needs to learn about what happened from viraj's perspective. so hopefully there are some letters or some diary or something along those lines that explains at some later point what happened...
